Randomly wanted cupcakes one week so I found Val on Google. Was happy to provide me a six pack of different flavours which I was grateful for. Delicious. Thoroughly enjoyed! read more

Harbour Side Markets is my kind of store - from the typography of the logo to the items stocked. Imagine James Street Markets but in the midst of industrial Harbourtown / Helensvale. I grabbed a small salad ($4.90) from the deli (a mix of beetroot, pumpkin and pinenut & pear, walnut and fetta) which was ample for a late lunch. It was fresh enough, but the ingredients that should have made each salad stand out was missing in place of a lot of baby spinach. If you're in the area or live near by what an absolute treasure!

The rolls were not quite right - they were a bit more like a hot dog bun, but they were filled with generous amounts of roast pork, crackling and salad. It's a convenient location to fuel up ( 7 eleven petrol is adjacent) the parking is easy at the shopping centre. Walk up and order - pay and it's brought out to you. Outside seating is available although not much of a view. The coffee is good. Good range of bakery items - nothing flash. As I said, it's the stop for the drive to Numinbah - convenient, simple and good coffee.

Fresh juices are made on the spot, there are plenty of grab-and-go options from sandwiches and wraps to (huge) protein balls and muesli yoghurt pots. The cold bowls include not just açai but also pink pitaya and coconut and sell for $11 plus an extra buck for muesli and fruit on top which is worth the spend. The outside area is nice enough, and you could spend a while reading the paper. It would be nice if they were open a little earlier given the beach is so close and the locals seem to be as early rising as the tourists. Probably not the cheapest breakfast but worth a look-in if you're keen for fresh and healthy nosh in Miami.
