Cupitt’s Estate is a family-owned South Coast winery, restaurant, and wine garden built around good wine, good food, and time well spent. It’s a place to settle in for a long lunch, meet friends for pizza and wine, or ease into the afternoon overlooking the hills.
Food is seasonal and designed to share, using local seafood, quality meats, and plenty of vegetarian options. In the Wine Garden, pizzas come straight from the oven, squid hits the table hot, and dishes are generous, relaxed, and made for groups.
Wine sits at the heart of the experience, with estate-made wines leading the list, alongside our own beers and a small line-up of cocktails. Everything is designed to be enjoyed on site, at an easy pace, with friendly service and a laid-back South Coast feel.
Set above rolling hills and vineyard views, Cupitt’s feels special without being formal. Open spaces, warm service, and a relaxed pace make it just as right for a casual lunch as it is for a celebration that rolls into the afternoon.
History
Established in 2007.
Cupitt’s Estate is a family story that began in 2003, when Rosie and Griff Cupitt fell for an old stone building and sweeping views across paddocks and wetlands near Milton. Inspired by years of travel through France and Italy, they set out to create a place centred around estate wine, local food, and the simple joy of gathering at the table.
The historic stone cellar door dates back to 1851 and was once part of a working dairy farm. Vines were planted in 2004, the restaurant opened in 2007, and over time the estate has grown to include a brewery, wine garden, and on-site accommodation.
Today, with the next generation involved, Cupitt’s remains a working farm and a welcoming place to eat, drink, stay, and spend time together, shaped by years of hard work, shared meals, and genuine hospitality.
Meet the Business Owner: Rosie C.
Cupitt's Estate is a family-owned business and the result of the hard work and dedication of Rosie and Griff Cupitt, who established the business in 2007. Rosie is a talented winemaker, cheesemaker and restauranteur who combines her passion for fine wines, good food, and good company to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for visitors. Griff, the farmer, takes care of the land and cattle grazing on the farm.
Today, the Cupitt family continues to run the business, with Rosie and Griff's sons Wally, Tom and his wife Libby taking on key roles. Together, the Cupitt family has created a company that offers a truly unique food and wine experience.
