Garage doors are a niche market and require knowledgeable labor instead of your general handyman or odd jobber. So, when I had to have two new openers installed and had to search for someone I felt was trustworthy and would answer my "test" questions honestly, I was very careful about my decision after educating myself about what the job would entail. The estimated time for a professional in the field according to the installation manual was four hours (two hours for each opener). Once we had the verbal contract and expectations agreed upon, I found the endeavor to go smoothly. The owner, Barry, returned calls in a timely manner and when a medical issue for him caused a rescheduling he provided adequate notice. On the new date he arrived punctually and got right on the task at hand. Unfortunately, his problem with back muscles started to slow him down and midway in the job I started to anticipate an interruption and a need to return on a subsequent date. Instead of giving up Barry doggedly persisted although the pace was slowed considerably. Toward the end when he was in obvious pain he contacted his partner to come to my address after his job was finished to assist him so that my installation could be completed that day. This turned out to be fortuitous because a "glitch" occurred with the second installation and it took both of them to put their heads and hands together to get the opener to work properly. They then explained the basics of the operational functions to me and did the initial coding for the remotes and keypads. Overall, both guys were respectful of me as a homeowner, considerate of my property and very thorough from the time the boxes were opened to the final clean up. Without reservations, I highly recommend Four Seasons for your garage door services. By the way, unless you are highly proficient with a great degree of expertise and experience I do not recommend installing a garage door opener as a do-it-yourself project.

I responded that I had not talked with the owners and that the phone number she stated was in error. It became apparent the plumber had misrepresented me to the owners, and the owners did not care to investigate what had occurred. I waited a few days to see if the owners would contact me, but since they did not, I decided to review this company with a red flag warning with a comment "Very Poor Customer Service."

On March 14th Michael came to our house to talk to us about our plans. We felt that he understood what we wanted and looked forward to getting an estimate in a week or so. Three months and a few e-mails later we have neither an estimate nor a response to our emails. We understand this may have been a smaller project than what Michael normally takes on but he could have afforded us the common courtesy of a phone call letting us know he wasn't interested in this project. It's too bad because we have several other larger future projects that we thought we would have had Michael's Homes take care of for us.
