I was called to pick up the car 3 hours later. I also asked for a winter tire quote and got an excellent deal, along with wheels. The service here is fair, they don't overcharge or upsell and the customer service is fantastic. One of the few places in Collingwod where I haven't had to deal with a smartass. Go here for all of your auto repair and maintenance needs.

I paid $118.75 to have a seat belt removed only to find that it was not repairable. They got me a…read moreused and dirty replacement belt for $180 and wanted to charge all over again to install it. Feeling that I was being hosed I went to a different garage where the replacement was installed in just under 25 minutes for $42. plus tax. What a difference! I would never again give any work to this outfit.

I purchased a commercial truck privately, it was inspected and issued a safety certicifate from…read moreC.A.R.S. The seller was concerned about the state of the batteries and feared the truck had a draw that was killing the batteries even with the key off. Dustin at CARS assured me the batteries are ok and that he tested the vehicle with his very expensive equipment to conclude there was no draw. After the truck sitting for 2 days I attemped to lower the back ramp but had no power. I opened the driver door and no interior lights came on. The odometer didn't even light up....batteries were stone dead. The seller of the truck was very reasonable and replaced both batteries under warranty. After driving the vehicle under 100kms since it was safetied and the front brake caliper seizing, I decide to approach Dustin about my concerns with the truck. He was very confrontational and denies the vehicle having a draw in the batteries when he tested it and insisted the draw somehow appeared after he looked at it. He also still claims he tore the brakes apart and did a full inspection but somehow within 100 kms they have seized. The vehicle was also safetied with the EGR and DPD deleted which obviously violates the Ontario vehicle safety standards that clearly states they cannot be bypassed, damaged or MISSING. It turns out that the seller of the vehicle is good friends with Dustin at CARS. Dustin seemed knowledgable and trustworthy when first dealt with but lacks the skills to properly inspect a vehicle and is not afraid to give a friend a "fake safety" . When approached about the problems I found he created a second invoice for the already paid for inspection and applied to a collection agency against me for an invoice that doesnt really exist. The Ministry of Transportation has been contacted and wil soon penalize him for the illegal activity he has committed.

The new owner has a way of making my very presence feel like an imposition. The customer is always…read morewrong - assuming, that is, you're able to coax an answer out of him at all. The attached picture shows the tire mark from my seized rear wheel being dragged down the driveway a mere 2 months after having rotors, calipers, and pads replaced at this garage. I was told there is not their problem, it's just normal for a Honda.
