Curry Brothers used to be good. NOT ANYMORE. I requested appointment to fix my one-car sectional garage opener with a broken spring. Patricia gave me a two-hour windows from 9-11. Tired of waiting, I called several times to make sure someone is on their way. Patricia said that Martin is running late because of difficulty with the previous job. Martin showed up at 12:00 and took measurement because I requested a high cycle tension spring to lessen the future down time. He called Patricia to get the part ready for the following day first appointment. Patricia left message at 6:00 pm that someone will be arriving btw 7:30 to 8:00 AM in the morning. After 8:05 AM, I called five times and only got the answering machine. Left one message to call me back. Frustrated, left last message at 8:30 AM to cancel the appointment. My daughter left for school at 9:00 and still no one showed up. Got to work and Patrica finally called me back. I need the service but they certainly don't value their business customers. Pathetic company. Seriously unprofessional and bad service. Not even a courtesy call to let customer know the repair man is running late. There are other garage door services company that deserve the business. Don't waste your time.!!!! read more

Seriously?!?! You sent out a guy to give me an estimate (4 days after I called and called) for my broken garage door LAST WEEK? 7 days later still no bid - no help?!? The door we have was installed by you but is in pieces because the spring broke and the bolts came out leaving us with a buckled door. In this day and age who doesn't come running to replace something when the customer is willing to buy a whole new set up? Weird business practice. read more

I called Curry Bros shortly after 8:00 AM on a Monday to fix my garage door that was down and refused to open up. Just made "clacking" noises. They gave me an estimated time of arrival between 10:00 AM and Noon. The technician arrived at 10:00 AM. He was very pleasant and cheerful. Looked at the door, tried the opener and knew right away what the problem was. Went to his truck, got the part that needed replacing and had the door fixed in 15 to 20 minutes. He also lubed all the tracks, hinges and screw drive. The door works perfectly and is quiet as it was when installed. (It was originally installed by Curry Bros 17 years ago). All in all, I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. All the employees I had contact with were polite, professional and didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need. My garage door went off the track and one of the cables that pulls the door up came off. I was barely able to get the door down with the help of one other person. I called Curry Bros. based on the previous Yelp review. They were able to schedule a service appointment for me the next day with a 2 hour window. The service technician arrived right at the beginning of the time window that I was told. He was able to instantly tell me that he could fix the problem, how long it would take (30 minutes) and quoted me a very reasonable price. He didn't try to sell me a new door and pointed out some normal wear and tear that has begun to appear. I asked if he needed any help to fix or lift the door and he said he did not. Sure enough, he knocked on my door 30 minutes later and asked me to try out the door which was now working perfectly. Not only did he fix my door, which I have no idea how he was able to do by himself, but it was much quieter than it had ever been, even when new! I only gave them 4 stars solely because they did not respond to my initial email requesting service and I had to call 3 times before I was able to get someone on the phone. Perhaps this was due to being so close to the holidays. After comparing my experience with some of my coworkers who had similar garage issues I know that I got excellent service for a bargain price. If you need your garage door repaired I can't recommend these guys enough. I can only imagine how good of a job they would do when installing a new door. read more

Curry Brothers does not provide any warranty for their work. I had them put a new garage door and within three months part of the frame fell off. I called them several times and got the run around. After several weeks, I finally got hold of the owner who told me that "times are tough and that he would have to charge me to fix the problem" ..... I would not trust these guys, they not only charge more then most places, they provide no real warranty. read more

Honestly, the worst customer service I've seen in a while. We setup an appointment with Patricia to have the windows replaced on our garage door. No one showed up or called. I left message on their answering machine explaining no one showed up and no phone call back. Finally called again the next day and spoke with Patricia again. She told me she would call me back to let me know when we could reschedule and guess what, never called back. Finally got a hold of her again, setup another appointment. They never showed up again for the appointment. This company is seriously a joke. Avoid at all costs. read more

If I could give them 10 stars, I would. 5 just isn't enough. We've dealt with a lot of garage door repair companies and been mistreated and ripped off. Completely the opposite with Curry Brothers. I knew things were going to be different from the minute I called them. They were so nice over the phone and, the first place to actually ask me what the problem was. There was a technician out here within an hour. Any other garage repair place would have charged 3-4 times what they did. They charged $79 for labor and $20 for a part, and saying that is a great deal is an understatement. Not only did the technician fix the problem, he also made our door quieter and fixed a dent that was there previously...just because he was a nice guy. I don't know any other place that would offer this kind of service, and, quite honestly, I wouldn't reccommend any other place than Curry Brothers. Couldn't be happier with the customer service and service itself. Polite, knowledgeable, and inexpensive...what more can you ask for? read more

Curry Brothers is as bad as the Cable companies. They say they will be there at a certain time and it can be as much as an hour later or not at all. Don't expect any proactive phone calls from them either. They have had to already come back 4 times to fix the same problem. read more

My Garage door was not working made an appointment for next day with 2 hours window . At end of 2 hours when no body showed up I called and one of the brothers answered . When I mentioned my problem he told me their technician running late about hour to hour and half. hardly ever write a review unless its extremely bad .....or very very good. These guys are extremely good! Was very impressed with Jose who came to repair our garage door, he has integrity and honor. Completed 50% of the job but ran into a problem he was not familiar with and was honest about it. Instructed me that a co worker would come by the next day and complete it. I became dubious , but was hoping he was on the up and up. The next day his co worker came by, Martin who not only completed the task but went above and beyond and was just as impressive as Jose. Both employees were outstanding and should be recognized by the owner as employees like them are rare and few and far between. I've used Curry Brothers since i have my garage door replaced and i can always count on them every time i got problem.They send them a repair service man right away and if you happened to asked for that person asked for Jose. These guys are awesome! I needed someone to fix my garage door and they sent someone out the next day who fixed in in 30 mins. The bill was only 95$, which was nothing compared to the 300$ quote I got from the company who had originally installed it - who, btw, did a terrible job of it, which is why it needed repair just 3 years after installation. In the process of buying the door and now repairing it I found that there are a lot of super shady garage door companies out there, so be careful!!! You CAN NOT go wrong with Curry Bros - they are honest and do quality work AND owner operated for more than 50 years. I hIghly recommend these guys!!! Had a window of 8-9 for service on a garage door, they confirmed the day before by phone and said they would be here, so I know they had my correct phone number, but by 9:45 nobody showed and nobody called. I guess that's better than coming out and doing poor work but not by much. read more

I will never use any other company but Curry Bros. for anything to do with my garage door. I had another company, Precision Garage Doors, give me an estimate to replace my wooden garage door hardware. They quoted me $875! I could by a new door and hardware for that price. I called Curry Bros. and they quote me $385. Obviously much more reasonable. Their tech, Martin, came out and made the repair. In the 30+ years I've had this garage door it has never worked anywhere near this well!. read more

I too chose this company based on other Yelp reviews and I'm glad I did! They were the only company that didn't try to sell me a garage door opener that I didn't need. well, a totally disappointing experience. I called a handful of times to get the intital appt for the repair man to come out. The day arrives and he is 45 min late. I call the office and speak to Patricia and ask where he is? She says she will call him and call me back. NOTHING. No call. So in the days ahead, I call a couple times and say I never heard from anyone and can we reschedule. She finally calls back and says the repair man Benji was supposed to call me when he was on his way but he didn't. So we reschedule. He shows that time. He says Patricia will send me a quote for repair the next day. Two weeks go by and I call 4 different times and leave messages with my email and fax saying please get me the quote. FINALLY, I get the quote. I agree instantly on the price and we set up a date. I confirm the appt the day before via email with Patricia and on the day of - NO ONE SHOWS. I call that day and sounding frustrated, ask how is it possible no one shows or calls. That was 5 days ago. No one has even called me back since then. Today I sent them an email basically restating what I said here. Total bad customer service and follow up. I just annoyed months have been wasted and I have to start the process all over again. Don't waste your time with Curry Brothers, Patricia or Benji. JOKE. read more
