Great chinese food but always workout and query the price of your order…read more We are long term customers of master chef and really enjoy their food however the past few weeks we have been overcharge by £2 for delivery every week. When you query it with them they say that the manager has automatically added extra charges to everyone for delivery. I even asked for an updated menu last week with the correct delivery charges however they still try to overcharge. I find this ridiculous that they charge for delivery anyway when your paying more than £25 but it is stupid that they try and argue with you when they have fiddled the price. In future always make sure to query the price, I know it sounds petty over such a small amount but it is the principle of it!!

I was attracted to this place because it was one of the first to have an open kitchen. You can see all the food being cooked freshly from scratch. The staff are brilliant, they know all my family by name, they deliver as well and quote 30 / 40 minutes but deliver within 20 minutes. Food can be customised to your liking. My favorite item is the special boiled rice with mixed meats, the portion is large enough that you don't need to order anything else. Tryv this place once and you will keep going back. Hmm. Torn here. I ordered by phone rather than online, and the experience was mixed…read more In terms of the order itself, it took several attempts to get through. One number simply went unanswered, but the other was picked up on the third attempt. The food turned up when they said it would (45 minutes), but was missing one of the main courses (fortunately, they hadn't charged us for it, so it was simply missed off). But it meant one of my friends who wanted seafood had to make do with a vegetarian meal. The food itself was a mixed experience: very good vegetable soup, tsing dao vegetable rolls and Szechuan vegetables. Prawn crackers were included for free. Spring rolls and a vegetable stir-fry were all right, but I have had better. Less good was the vegetarian selection in black bean sauce, which was incredibly fiery, thanks to having a lot of chilli in it, despite this not being on the menu (and not my experience of black bean sauce). I'm not sure I'd rush to repeat the experience, but it would do if all else fails.
