She can be difficult so I avoided this necessary evil as long as it felt safe without child services being called. Anyhoo, after rushing there and getting there 10 mins early, I was sweating the judgment I sometimes put on others when they show up at my clinic on time when they have paperwork to fill out. There was no one at the desk to greet me....I'm new, greet me! Ok, my expectations are high since I work in the same environment. I was called to the back 20 mins after my appt time to "fill out paperwork". Hey! I could have been filling out papers this whole time. They then separated me and my baby cub to get her started with picking out her flavor of paste. Then sat me in front of a computer to complete "paperwork". I'm so jealous! I work in one of the leading cardiology clinics and even we aren't this advance. I was clicking away like I worked there. I was in scrubs after all. Then I was lead to my daughter's room right as her hygienist, Shelly had her hands in her mouth and my cub was moaning with a single tear coming from her eye. This isn't my first rodeo with a drama queen. Except my oldest loved the dentist. I was somewhat feeling her pain. I don't like the helpless feeling you get when your head is pinned down with gloved hands in your mouth with no way to say HELP! But I digress. Shelly was wonderful! She was so patient with daughter's over dramatized reaction to cinnamon toothpaste. Dr Prejean was full of awesome sauce. Talking on her level and highfive-ing her at the end. I wish I'd had gotten the name of the other lady who was like a welcome party complete with extra goodies and hugs. She was great! We'll be back next month for the cavities I KNEW she had. Thanks to everyone who made our first visit...which could be been traumatic....a pleasant one.

Cannot believe a dentist would try to pimp his faith to his patients, let alone not have the stones to discuss with the parents before trying to slide this crap to my daughter. Done, and to top it off they kept additional, $200 for cancellation fee, per their agreement. DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST OFFICE!!

Unfortunately, since having all the "work" done, we've had to have THOUSANDS more dollars of work done. I understand teeth come with a variety of factors, but I never had many issues prior to the work here. I was told I would need extensive work in all 4 quadrants. So, we proceeded with the work as one would do at the recommendation of the professional. Since, I have had to endure several more procedures that were less than pleasant to say the least. I will say I thoroughly enjoy the people and doctors at this office. Unfortunately, I'm afraid my teeth and wellbeing were not the priority..... Please read the initial review also, as they did provide a great service initially. Initial Review: There's no way I will be able to describe the outstanding service and atmosphere of this incredible place through this review, but I'm going to try. From the moment you walk in the door you are welcomed. The receptionist (she probably has a way more awesome title) got up out of the chair and shook our hands! What!?!?!?!? That's right, got up and welcomed us with a gift bag and was ready to assist in any way possible. Back Story: I had a wisdom tooth that was being rebellious and rude to say the least. It started on a Friday night of course, knowing there wouldn't be a dentist open until Monday. I endured through the weekend and made an appointment first thing Monday morning. I got in to see my regular dentist, and was referred to an oral surgeon for the procedure. I couldn't get an appointment with them until Wednesday. Thinking that was the only option, I waited. Finally got an appointment late Wednesday afternoon. And was scheduled for the P&A (pull and abandonment) of this unruly, menopausal hot/cold/hot/cold deviate first thing Thursday morning. Yep, and it would only cost me around A THOUSAND FREAKING DOLLARS!!!! Oh yes, that is with insurance my friends. Ha, no thanks! So upon some phone calls to loved ones (yes complaining) they recommended I try Clement Family Dentistry, "I think they pull wisdom teeth" I was told. All the while trying to figure out when dentists stop pulling teeth. So I call them first thing Thursday morning, and I've got an appointment that morning. Alright, now you're caught up and we're going right into post awesome welcoming by the "receptionist." Not a long wait at all, and I'm in the back being taken care of by a very thorough and thoughtful employee. I provide a play by play of the issue at hand, and she conducts a thorough evaluation for review. I'm then taken to a very nice office for a review of the procedure, expectations, and instructions for when I return. Before I know it, we've got an appointment later THAT DAY to P&A this dude! I return at appointed time, and was greeted just as thoroughly as earlier in the day. And just like that, there was no more Mr. Bad Tooth. Did I mention it was a fraction of the cost quoted by the oral surgeon? Coming in at just under an 1/8th total cost of that quote. But wait, there's more!!!! It was fairly late when we said good riddance to this unhealthy chomper, I'd say 5:30ish. So I'm relaxing (bahahahaha) later that night and my phone rings. I don't know this number......... It's the man behind the mask himself who removed my tooth! THE PERSON WHO ACTUALLY YANKED MR. BAD TOOTH CALLED TO MAKE SURE I WAS DOING OK, AND TO SEE IF I HAD ANY QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS. That's right, not an automated service. Thank you for making it to this point, and I hope you find this review helpful. There's not many companies like this, and I'm truly thankful and impressed immensely by their practice. Needless to say I've switched dentists..... And where else do you get a view like this!?!?!?! During my initial visit, the dental hygienist was extremely sweet and friendly. We discovered some…read morecavities that my previous dentist had missed, which was understandable since I had recently moved to the area with my husband and was looking for a new dentist. Fast forward to my appointment for the fillings. The dentist walked in without greeting me. I sarcastically said, "Well, hello." He responded with a brief "Hi there." After numbing my mouth, he left me for 45 minutes. I could hear him in the next room, cheerfully greeting another patient. When he finally returned, most of the numbing medication had worn off. As he started drilling, I told him it was painful. He numbed me again and continued. I wasn't given any eye protection, so I kept my eyes tightly closed. The dentist and the hygienist chatted, and he sang loudly, mentioning his upcoming 47th birthday. During the procedure, two metal objects fell down my throat, almost choking me. The dentist quickly removed one, and the hygienist slowly pulled out the other after I pointed it out. Neither of them apologized. After finishing, the hygienist reminded the dentist that two more fillings were needed. He seemed unaware and suggested doing them then, but I declined. It was already 4 pm, and I didn't want to wait another 45 minutes or risk being choked again. I won't be back.

I happened upon Dr. Zeringue at Bayou Dental Care after an exhaustive search for a great D.D.S. who…read morecould work on my husband, who needed extensive dental work after a major auto accident. I am so grateful that we chose Dr. Z and his team. From the first time I phoned, the staff has been incredibly kind and accommodating. When we first walked through the doors we were greeted with a great big smile and an empathetic nod. We waited for only a minute or two when we were brought to the chair (they welcome me to sit in with him and always have a chair ready in the room). After a LOT of xrays (during which, I had to wait in the hall, where I got to admire the many accolades awarded to Dr. Z) and a consult, we learned that hubby was in need of several crowns. Dr. Zeringue explained the plan and the timeline expected. Dr. Z has been patient and taking the time to adjust hubby's temporary crowns slowly over time as his traumatized jaw continues to heal to ensure his bite corrects before ordering the permanent crowns. Hubby's injuries have given us a few surprise concerns, but Dr. Z has been able to put them all to rest. While the process has been lengthy, getting the job done right is much appreciated. Despite his many years of experience, Dr. Zeringue values education and growth. He said to me, "The day I stop learning is the day I end my practice." Because of this, I am confident that the equipment, skills, and materials Dr. Z uses are the best. Dr. Z educates us as often as he can, from discussing the material and manufacturer of the crowns, to the oral care products to use (and avoid), and why some people have horror stories and what he does (and doesn't do) to ensure we will have no horror stories of our own. This enthusiasm also means that Dr. Z offers a large menu of sought-after dental services at fair prices. We are about half-way through the process and have a long way to go, but I am blessed to have found Bayou Dental Care to get it done with care and love.
