The first day's nurse was fabulous, the doc a bit short, but okay. 12 hours later she's still bleeding heavily. Three calls over an hour and a half to his "after hours" number, and it was just his cell. He'd fallen asleep and hadn't heard. I describe she's still bleeding profusely, and all he did was tell me all the things it could be. Okay, so what do I do? Repeats the list then got annoyed when I kept asking what do I DO??? Next day, he and his nurse were rude to my daughter, telling her it can't be that bad and she shouldn't complain so much. A full month later she went to regular dentist for something else, and they said she STILL had a gash in her cheek (not at gum line) that wasn't fully healed and they didn't know why he didn't stitch it closed. I started inquiring about reimbursement at the two month mark. His office manager (his wife) said oh, we sent it to insurance, but it can take 90 days. I'll send it again. Waited a week, checked with insurance, nothing. Called again, same story, we'll send it again. Repeat the next week. Finally on day 91, insurance company said you know what? We will call. THAT was what it took for insurance to receive it within the hour. Presently, I'm waiting on them to call and say a check is waiting for me. Insurance approved payment on 5/14. They say dentist can take 30 days to process. We shall see.

I was scheduled to see a orthodontist to start the long process of preparing for MMA jaw surgery. The week before one of my front veneers brakes. I call my orthodontist in a panic. They recommended calling Barras Family Dentistry. I must confess I didn't have much hope in getting help. You see, I had reached out over the weekend to the dentist that originally did the work and never got a return call. Much to my surprise they immediately made me an appointment. Not only that Dr. Brock came in on his day off and assisted Dr. Christy - I got two dentist!!! the replaced veneer was beautiful. But my story doesn't end there. The next week I had surgery.... and much to my surprise and heartbreak when I woke up... ( you can't make this stuff up) two of my other front veneers were broken during surgery. To make it even more devastating... you guessed it... I was scheduled to get my braces the very next day! In tears I call the office of Dr. Christy. The wonderful ladies at the front desk consoled me and said hold on we got you. Sure enough Dr. Christy and Dr. Brock rearranged their entire morning to fit me in before my other appointment! everything went great and I was able to get my braces on time! This was another awesome dental visit in Dr. Decou's beautiful new office! My husband and I got the…read moresame quality care that we have become accustomed to from ALL of her staff! You are faced with smiling welcoming faces from the minute you enter until you walk out of their doors. The office is very accommodating and Dr. Decou is very supportive of, and concerned about each individual's medical needs. My husband was scheduled for a visit to clean his teeth AFTER a knee surgery. The office rescheduled his appointment so that it was BEFORE the surgery because you must wait for 6 months after surgery to have your teeth cleaned. She also prescribed antibiotics for him to take before this latest appointment and was very informative about the steps she would take to make certain his health and wellbeing were maintained. We always know and are shown by she and her staff that they love their patients and are determined that we get the best and latest technology and services that will ensure strong, healthy cancer free mouths, gums and teeth!
