So I needed 2 jobs done on the home I recently purchased, some windows & a bathroom remodel. I had 3 different companies come over to do estimates on the windows first. Dave was the best price with the same quality brand windows the other companies were trying to sell. He also thought freely gave ideas, advice & his opinion on other projects I had going. Then I also asked him for an estimate on my bathroom remodel, once again he's 1 of 3 I asked. Once again best price. NOT ONCE did we ever see any designs, plans or itemized invoices. We paid him over $6,000 before March 8, 2023. The morning of 4/24, 2023 I called him into our home for a meeting. I tried to show him the custom aluminum railings WE PURCHASED on my laptop from Deckorators.com website... And the correct way to install them vs. the WRONG way he was trying. He went berserk, shouting and cursing me, saying, "I know your game! You're trying to get away with not paying me!!" I tried to get him to calm down but he just got louder to the point my wife heard him from our backyard 100 feet away! I was seated and he was "looming over me" with both of his hands balled into fists. We didn't know if he was high on drugs, drunk or both, because normal, rational people don't behave this way. I reminded him we gave him over $6k to cover building materials. I asked for receipts from Lowes, and he said, "Receipts? I'll shove them up your a$$!" I told him to leave. His reply? "You want me to leave huh? Ha ha, watch this!" He went out back, took a screw gun, and starts TEARING APART our railing and damaged our expensive Trex decking. We have before & after photos. So I called the Police & they showed up to run him off our property. He threw our expensive railings WE PAID FOR into the back of his truck and drove off, LEAVING BEHIND AN UNFINISHED PROJECT AND A DAMAGED DECK AND NO RAILINGS. Deckorators.com confirmed that we is NOT a certified installer, they do not even know who he is! We are suing him in Small Claims Court pay for our legitimate contractors to make repairs, install new railings, rebuild the ramp, etc. To add insult to injury, he sent us a bill totaling over $2,000...
