The amount of customization was also impressive, everything to lapel style and size to your choice of buttons (I ordered rubber buttons on my shirt, I never knew they made rubber buttons, it's awesome); I was overwhelmed, lucky Ron guided me every step of the way. Prior to ordering my shirt from Bespoke edge, I thought I had an idea of what a well fitted shirt felt and looked like since I own multiple expensive designer and tailored shirts. As soon as I tried on my bespoke shirt I was hooked. Let me explain that the J.Crew Factory Store, like the Banana Republic equivalent, has a great deal of clothing that were made for the factory store (rather than irregulars or overstocks). What this means is it might not be completely up to snuff with the clothing from the regular store. I've purchased a lot (A LOT) and I have found that it is good quality but can lack some of the extra detailing that I admire in much of J.Crew's goods. (e.g., a grosgrain ribbon trim here, silk piping there...) But I have gotten a lot of great clothing, so this is just a word of warning. Also, they have no shoes or handbags *dots tears away with printed silk-twill scarf* but their sale selection is always marked down even further from their already quite low prices.

Pendleton is one of the few surviving American textile companies with a story that stretches all the way back to 1863, when English weaver Thomas Kay arrived in Oregon and began building woolen mills in the Pacific Northwest. That foundation eventually led to what became Pendleton Woolen Mills, a company famous for its iconic wool blankets and textiles that became deeply tied to the culture of the American West. In a time when so many brands have outsourced everything overseas, Pendleton still weaves much of its wool fabric in the United States. That alone makes it stand out. What makes this location even more special is that a full retail Pendleton store is actually rare to find. You simply don't see many of them around the country, which makes discovering one right here in Old Town Fort Collins feel like a real gem. And it fits perfectly here. Old Town already has such a wonderful mix of boutiques, restaurants, and independent shops, and Pendleton adds something unique to that landscape. It brings a sense of tradition and craftsmanship that you don't encounter very often anymore.
