I have never thought much about using a tailor. I thought it would be expensive and take a lot of time. The day came that I desperately needed a dress altered and I cannot sew at all. I was getting ready to go on a cruise and found the perfect dress for formal night but it was way too long. I either needed to grow another 5 inches or find a tailor. Since I doubted I could grow 5 inches in one week, I had to place my bet on the tailor. I did some searching on yelp, dexknows, and just on the internet in general. The Tailoring Palace had some wonderful reviews so I decided to give it a shot. I went in and the owner greeted me at the desk. He was pleasant, cheerful, and professional. He took the time to listen to what I needed and how soon I needed it. He had me put on the dress (ladies, remember to bring the shoes you plan to wear with this and any body shapers so the dress hangs just like it will when you wear it) and stand up on a box in front of the mirror. He took the time to make sure he knew how short I wanted it and marked the dress with his chalk. I was leaving in four days and he said he would have it ready for me the day before I left. I went in to pick up my dress and his wife was there this time. She is also a very nice person. She had me try the dress on again just to make sure we didn't need any last minute changes. The dress was PERFECT! I can now go on my cruise and not worry about having to hike up my dress to walk or stepping on it. The price was much less expensive than I thought it would be. I figured I would pay the same price of my dress for the tailoring. Not even close! I paid only $30. He does leather jackets, dresses, suits, just about another you wear that needs to be altered. Please go and give this place a shot. They are wonderful people, do incredible work, and are well worth the price. read more

My experience was great and easy: I walked in Friday to ask how much it would cost to fix 6 buttons on a button-up longsleeve. The nice older gentleman at the front counter examined it and immediately pointed out which buttons needed repair, without me having to say anything. Based on that, I could tell he was knowledgeable. Next he quoted the buttons repair at $3!! I'm emphasizing this fantastic price because I was quoted $22.50 at The Sewing Room for button repair! I went in Monday and picked up my longsleeve. All the buttons had been properly reinforced/fixed. And I was on my way! Although my experience was for a minor repair, I still think they have good service and better pricing than The Sewing Room. I cannot say enough amazing things about about Tailoring Palace. Like a fool, I waited until the last minute to try on dresses for my sister's wedding (I was the MOH!!), and ended up with an incredibly ill-fitting dress that badly needed to be let out in the bust. After googling and pretending like I knew how to sew, I finally started calling tailors around FoCo and was turned down every time -- I had a two day window to get this done and I was FREAKING OUT! I went into Tailoring Palace, explained my dilemma, and they told me that they would have the dress finished by the time I needed it with a nicer fabric than was I brought them for the gusset. A day and a half later, I stopped in on my way to the airport (can you tell I suck at preparation?) and they had my dress hanging at the front, ready to try on. Thanks to the kind folks at Tailoring Palace, my dress looked beautiful at my sister's wedding and it fit like a glove (or a well-fitting dress, if you will). They finished when they said they would, did the work how they said they would, and the price was more than fair. You guys have won over a customer for life, and I will tell everyone I know to come your way! read more

FANTASTIC! The owner (I don't remember his name) was the sweetest guy ever. I told him my story, that I'm leaving out of town tonight and need a button on a dress sewed on asap. I expected to leave for a few hours and come back but that wasn't the case. He told me to have a seat and he will do it right now. We started making small talk. Talked about family etc. and how I just moved here.....5 min later he was done! Wow, like it never happened AND when I wanted to pay him for his service, he said no! I was so grateful and had a huge smile on my face. His act of kindness was what I needed today especially since I was panicking about my new dress. Needless to say, I will be coming back for my sewing and alteration needs! I highly recommend this place. You won't be disappointed. read more

This place made me so angry I actually had to write my first review. I will try to keep it short and to the point. 1. I called and made a appointment for Sunday, the owner no call no showed on me. 2. I got ahold of him again and met him at the shop. He was short and quiet with me, no big deal. 3. I had my fiancée pick up my suit for me, since she works in the area, she paid 3 times the price he quoted me over the phone initially. Uh? 4. I called the shop just to see if the price she paid was correct and if so why it was so different from the price I was quoted. He immediately went off on me, saying things like: "I don't work for free," "Who's gonna pay for rent," "Its not my fault you didn't check your receipt"- just non stop rant. I couldn't get a word in. I never asked for my money back or even complain about the work he did, just a simple question as to why there was a big difference between original quote and actual price paid. I have never been so angry and insulted by the way I was treated that it prompted me to write this review. The guy is a douche bag. Don't ever go there. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!! Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Asked if pants could be hemmed in 3 days and owner said no problem. I left a jacket to be hemmed for 2 Wks Went to pick up pants- not done. He them hemmed them as I waited. Returned to get jacket - couldn't locate it then found it - not done. Asked to return in 2 days. I did - arms too short!!! Owner argued with me that he hemmed it to what it should be not what he pinned to my request. Then he told me I should have had my arm outstretched to measure ! What?? NOT!! So he agreed to fix it in 2 days. I returned and nothing was changed. Jacket ruined!! Owner was so rude and kept yelling he was experienced and knows what length it should be. NOT per my request and measurement ! Do. It go here - you will be lied to and disrespected. read more

I am a Navy Vietnam Veteran and I brought my Leather Navy jacket over here to have a pocket replaced that was ripped. Even though the other pocket was still good I decided to have both pockets replaced. It took a few days for them to do the job and they did an awesome job replacing the pockets and I will use them again read more

So I needed my bridesmaid dress shortened and waited until the last second to do it, it was a Tuesday and I needed it don't by Thursday. Everyone I called said they needed at least a week, when I called the tailoring palace the lady I talked to said if I dropped it off that morning she could have it done the next day. It was done by the time she said and it was perfect! I'm extremely thankful to have found this place and would definitely recommend it. read more

Bad reviews keep getting deleted. Awful experience. Unorganized. Did not deliver,twice,date promised; then tried to blame me for his error. Go elsewhere if you care about your garments. I paid then had to throw out my clothing. Very disappointed with poor customer service. read more

This place is terrible! I dropped off a bridesmaid dress three weeks before I needed it back and come to find out the day I'm picking it up she hasn't even touched the dress!!! She then makes me wait three hours so she can rush to do her job because the wedding is the next week out of state and I needed it done that day. When I first came here it was super sketchy already when she at first told me it was going to be $45 then changed the price at checkout to $75. I told her no I wasn't paying that and then she went to $55. Never coming back. read more

Excellent service! I called to ask if they repaired zippers. They did. I described the issue and asked if they could repair it while I waited and the answer was yes. Upon arrival, it was determined the zipper could not be repaired but had to be replaced. Despite this, they still honored their promise to fix it while I waited. A short time later it was done and I was on my way, and it was done in a high quality way. This type of service is rare these days. read more
