I had been carrying around my "do it yourself" belly cast for 6 years and didn't know what to do with it! I knew I wanted to keep it and hang it, but in the condition it was in that was not possible. Thankfully I found Chris - the preservation was remarkable - he made it super easy and it's now ready to be hung - all I need is the anchor and the hole in the wall! As far as the cost - I was first a little concerned about the price, but given the amount of effort required and the quality of the end product, I feel the price is fair and furthermore, worth it! As a side note, I wanted to remark how professional and organized Chris is - he was the one following up with me, making the extra effort to ensure the effort was completed and helped guide me through the decisions that needed to be made in the process. Finding Chris's business card was one of the best part of my pregnancy. I was pregnant with my 4th girl and after seeing the finish cast I was so excited I had him cast my belly once a week, 3 more times so each girl could have their own. I had the DIY ones for the others. Being they were girls I knew they'd be jealous of their baby sisters. He did a theme using the meanings of their names and each one fit them perfectly. I've always loved baby toes so when we had surprise baby #3, I had to take the opportunity of having another baby to get his feet cast. I tried myself using a kit with little luck. I found Chris' website online and bought it as a birthday present to myself. Chris was so super great with my baby -- a tough client as he's a mover and a shaker. My baby liked Chris so much he laughed and kicked every time Chris looked at him. I love the finished product. I had it done with a pewter finish. It looks fabulous! I'll always have little baby toes to kiss now! Not only did Chris do a fabulous job on our casting, he managed to fix my botched castings by creating a finger and a toe and smoothing out flattened spots.
