I like the former because I can pay for gas through the BP app without whipping out my credit card. Sadly, I couldn't log in to my BP account in late September. The site was being annoying and wasn't authenticating properly. Instead, I hit this Speedway. Speedway also has an app, but you can't pay for gas on it. You can scan your app's QR code for your rewards at the pump. On the rare occasion that the QR code doesn't scan properly, you can submit your receipt on the app and it works well. I've been to this gas station a few times now. I never have an issue finding an available gas station. Filling up has always been smooth. It's also impeccably clean. This Speedway has a convenience store. I have yet to set foot in it. I was here a couple of weeks ago. It was unseasonably hot. Seeing firewood in front of me felt weird. It's perfect if you need logs for your fireplace to get some here. The location is decent. It's off Cedar Avenue, which is convenient. It's also close to where I normally stay in Bloomington, near Mall of America. It's a good gas station. (410)

And top 5% cleanliness for gas station restrooms that I have ever been in. (And there are some weeks I may stop/use 10+) I made sure to tell staff that. That was what led me to start a conversation with the staff. That was my first compliment to this location...Second, Gary greeted me with a hello and a smile the first chance he got. Third, Robyn was kind and genuine and I could tell 100% she takes pride in her store and what she does. Fourth, I got to know Christine a bit and her goals for the various locations she oversees. Fifth, Anthony was great as a cashier and super kind and patient and did not make me feel rushed in any way. Anyone needing a quick stop with broad selection, a clean restroom, and a spacious store, you should be sure to visit this Speedway. There are many other places to swing by super close in Eagan if you are shopping, dining out, or just commuting and in the area. Lastly, the discount "shelf" or area is always a wonderful thing to check out!

Sometimes, I stop again in Rochester before heading back. I don't believe that I did on this trip because the winds were gusty and I wanted warmth. I can do this entire day trip on a tank of gas with the right vehicle. With a rented Jeep, I hit Roseville on my way back to the hotel and the low-gas indicator came on. My usual gas station is the BP in Eagan. When you are about to roll in to a gas station with an almost empty tank and realize that the gas station has been demolished, that sinking, sick, empty stomach feeling is never good. Both my empty tank and stomach weren't expecting my go-to gas station to be gone. I can't tell whether it will resurrect itself as a better BP for if it's gone for good. Luckily, I did remember this Speedway roughly a block away. I rolled into that one. I love Speedway as much as BP. Why? As a Canadian, I can use my Canadian credit card at the gas pump and not have to deal with entering a ZIP code. I don't have one. Many gas pumps to cater to American credit cards. This one is Canadian-friendly. Yay! I was pleased to fuel my rental car. What a relief! This gas station was bright at around 8 pm. It was clean at and around the pump. No complains here. This Speedway does have a convenience store. I didn't need to enter the store, but it's good to know that it's there if I need snacks and drinks. I need to do some research on whether Speedway has an app. I know that it has a rewards program. I may need to sign up for it. This gas station is open 24 hours a day. It's comforting and cool. You may wonder why I'm reviewing a gas station…read more Yes, it has gas, they never run out. Yes, they have that lunch special show with like two slices of pizza or pizza and wings. And sure, they have all the normal caffeine things that your monster energy drink addicted cousin that has a goatee would want every morning. What's notable here is that it has often a clearance section. I added two pictures of them. Whenever there's like a weird flavor of candy that the public doesn't really want or after holidays. It's always a good idea to sneak inside after you pay for gas outside to see if they have a $1 snack or two. Often you will find something! Preventing us from giving five stars is that the hot snack foods aren't always available. It's largely only 100% around the lunch hour where you are guaranteed to find what you want.
