It's a busy place, with super friendly and chatty staff who do a really good job. There are a disproportionate amount of hairdressers in Motherwell which makes it hard to create a unique selling point but these guys seem to pride themselves on bringing the same customers back and keeping the environment welcoming where you come back as much for a catch up with who is doing what than for the actual haircut. My main problems with the place is that I rarely get taken when my appointment is, or even anywhere near it, which is no good to me thesedays. I have waited as long as 45 minutes before. They also try and pimp extras like head massages and expensive products which makes things awkward when all you want is a haircut. I think they are trying to market themselves as a bit more high-end than they are, with prices that almost match that, but it wont work in Motherwell; far from the most affluent part of Scotland. From time to time they do some really good deals for a cut and blow dry when you walk in off the street. Inside is comfortable and staff are friendly with a good level of Customer Service. Hair Stylists take an interest in customers and can offer advice on hair care at home. They also sell a range of products at reasonable prices.

The other staff are very friendly and helpful and I've always had a good haircut here. They are also really good with children and do childrens' cuts for a fraction of the price elsewhere. I always feel welcomed into the salon and always get a cup of tea and biscuit or a glass of wine over the festive season. Prices are maybe a little on the high side considering this is a local little salon but I don't mind paying them as the staff are so nice.

I haven't been for a long time as I always had to book so far in advance (at least 2 weeks) even to get an appointment on a Thursday and I'm not always organised enough. It's handy to get to, not far from St Enoch and opposite a big car park. Trusted her to do my wedding hair and absolutely loved the results! :)

Customer services isn't always great, as this really depends on who you get to do your hair. I haven't had any problems with their service in general and I feel they are one of the best hairdressers in Larkhall, a little expensive but worth it in the long run.

The salon itself isn't anything special, and if it wasn't for the quality and skill of the hairdresser I use (who I believe is also the salon manager) then I probably wouldn't bother as it doesn't have any other appeal. In its defence, it was refurbished fairly recently and is a very nice place but then so are most of the salons in the town - good, but the haircut is more important to me, and that's where they score 5 stars. Although they mainly do ladies hair, I've seen the occasional gent or child there, and they have a full complement of services available. It's nice to feel confident in the abilities of your hairdresser, and trust them to actually do what you wanted with your hair without any nasty shocks. Fiona is well spoken about in the local area, and I'm sure I'm not the only person locally who uses this salon because of her scissor skills!

I've never had my hair coloured here, but I've also never heard any complaints about it either. So, it's a good all-rounder if you're in the local area. This salon is situated at Clarkston Toll which made it handy for me to pop in for a trim on the way home from school many moons ago. I was never disappointed with my cut and I always left with my hair exactly the way I wanted it. I also got my first pair of GHD's here so it holds a special place in my heart. The prices are reasonable, you can get a stand-by cut for around £25 and if you phone up they usually have special offers on than you can take advantage off. The staff are also really chatty and even though I don't go anymore, one of my old school friends still does as she just feels so at home at this salon. The shop is modern, light and you will always be offered teas, coffee and juice while you are waiting which is great.
