Cute location but rather busy which was fine. She made my family and I feel very comfortable and not awkward. Taking pictures can get awkward and rather boring but Ashleigh made the whole experience way better then any experience I had ever had. From "bump" shots to holiday shoots, and even my parents' anniversary shoot, they've just done nothing but the best work. They work as a couple, one shoots while the other sets up the pose or looks for the next spot, and they just seem to have an eye for the most natural, happy, and flattering moments; plus they always seem to have ideas on how we should pose (not easy with little ones). They are such a chill couple that they automatically put everyone around them at ease, and I think that's why the pictures end up being so good. No awkward poses! As soon as we met Amy and looked through her photos, it was clear she was the wedding photographer for us. We decided to stretch our photo budget a bit to hire her and it was *easily* one of the best decisions we made throughout our entire wedding process. We booked a package that included an engagement shoot with her as well, and I cannot recommend that enough. It gave me and my now-husband time to get to know Amy, understand her working style, develop a relationship... And, as we left the shoot, my fiancé actually said to me, "That was fun!" (Fun! From a man who hates having his photo taken!) As we got closer to our wedding day, Amy reached out to me to discuss details and to ask if there was anything else she could do to support our planning. We met for a cup of coffee to talk through the day and so I could ask questions (I had many, as I'm sure other brides do as well) and I left that meeting feeling so much more confident about everything that was going to happen over the course of the day. Everything ran perfectly smooth the day-of and I can't emphasize enough how much all those involved with our wedding were so impressed with Amy. She gives really clear directions (without ever being bossy) and makes people feel instantly relaxed - I really, really believe that shows in our photos. Our wedding day was quite emotional (as they tend to be) and Amy was supportive, patient, and kind. She captured all sorts of small special moments and looking through our photos reminded me of so many details that I'm sure I would have otherwise forgotten with the craziness of the day. We are so thrilled with how our photos turned out - as are our family and friends - and we now have the incredibly difficult job of deciding which of our 1,000+ photos we want to print...
