This charming red house on a side street in Carmel has a plethora of frame options available. The kind staffperson was super helpful and worked with me every step of the way to create what I wanted. She had an artistic eye and helped me with choosing colors and frame styles. I enjoyed the mix and match process and was really happy with what I selected. But then...the price tag. I was looking to frame three separate art/calligraphy prints (not even 8.5 x 11) and the price for EACH was $250. WHAT??? My jaw about dropped to the floor. Literally everything else about this experience was great except for the price tag. I understand professional framing is pricey, but I had no idea it would be this much. I will be going elsewhere for my framing needs.

The person I gave the gift to loved it. But damn, $252 for a frame was a little shocking. They clearly do good work, but be prepared to pay for it.

Limited edition prints are the hot potatoes at this gallery. Painters commission printers to do limited edition prints, which the artist will then sometimes sign. Editions Limited has a limited edition print of Dali's "Angel of Alchemy," which the artist has hand-signed and embellished himself. It now sells at the gallery for around $13,000. You'll also find some local artists in a similar surrealist style, but not always; in the adjoining frame shop, a work by an undoubtedly local artist depicts The Colts running to victory.

My husband googled other places and thank goodness he did! He found this place. Mark - He is a miracle worker. He has a CAN DO attitude! He was able to stretch the thin oversized canvas. He worked with my husband and showed him different styles of framing options which the one they selected I love. He was upfront with the timing of the project and was dead on with that. Because it's so oversized, we didn't know how we would get it home! Mark found a carrier service that would pick it up and deliver it for minimal cost. I am so pleased with everything!
