Bellefonte PA. Pharmacy has erratic hours. All pharmacists go to lunch at the same time. Different every day.

Old looking store with horrible parking. The staff appears very unhappy and are generally unfriendly. I leave there depressed.. :-(

Conveniently located near Tallyrand Park. Has a pharmacy, photo lab, and grocery items. Have had good experiences with staff.

First: Maybe the most important thing to say off the bat is that the Rite Aid employees in the…read morestore are the absolute best. The pharmacy is a giant mess, but the front end employees are always patient, kind, and helpful despite what must feel like a whole other job having to field angry questions and commentary from customers needing the pharmacy. The store always looks great-- well stocked and clean, while (of course!) the employees are so helpful. However... The pharmacy is A MESS!! In the last few months, I've called with a moderately important question--in the middle of the week--only to get a message that "due to unforseen circumstances, the pharmacy is closed." On many weekends, the pharmacy has closed hours earlier than advertised or not been open at all. This is a PHARMACY. It's not a candy shop or The Gap where I could wait on a box of assorted truffles or a boring button-down. I have needed medication that, if I don't have it, makes me sick-- or sicker. It's dangerous for me to be without meds. I'm very concerned about elderly populations or folks who rely on this store because they cannot go elsewhere. There may be no one who can help them find emergency medication until the pharmacy reopens (whenever that happens?). I am very sympathetic to staffing shortages due to Covid or other illnesses. However, other pharmacies are able to remain open, likely because their company has made contingency plans. Other Rite Aids do this successfully. Bellefonte Rite Aid does not. Where is the corporate accountability? Were it a problem once or even twice, okay. But this store (rather, who is in charge of the store) puts its customers in serious, potentially life -threatening jeopardy. I can't go lower than two stars because I have to acknowledge the employees who deal with this act keep the rest of the store up and running. I'd give them 5 stars.

Pretty disappointed with my experience with the pharmacy so far. Their lack of communication…read moreregarding status of prescription is ridiculous. I've had to stop by the pharmacy to check the status because even though I signed up for the texts. When I've called in whoever I've spoken to to check the status of my prescription was very rude. Had to wait over a week for a prescription to be filled. I'm really bummed this is how my first experiences with this pharmacy are going. It's a very convenient location and their hours are great but I've been considering transferring due to this.

Stopped in here because I was in need of an item that I had forgotten about while out today. I…read morehonestly should have waited to stop at another location but went against my better judgement. First let's talk about the location of this store. It sits on a corner of a busy intersection. Not much in sense of street parking so a lot of people utilize the lot connected to the store. It is a mess. The lot is weirdly positioned and only allows for a small number of vehicles to fit in it at a time. The positioning also makes for a very hard maneuvering if you attempt to enter/exit at the same exact time as someone else. I was pulling into the lot while someone else was attempting to leave the lot. Because of how small this lot is this turned out to be a very difficult task with the risk of me being rear ended because a portion of my vehicle was still on the street. With this lot as well, like one other review points out, there is no capability to use a drive thru for the pharmacy. This makes the person have to park and walk into the store, not a bad thing, but give yourself a few more minutes when visiting here if you need to pick up medication. Inside the store is you run of the mill Rite Aid location. You know, that kind of bland "I'm in a drugstore" appeal to it. I walked around aimlessly for a bit until I found the item I needed. I then headed to the front to pay. When I walked in there were two associates at the registers chatting. When I came to pay, no one was to be found. This happens most times at a Rite Aid because those associates are responsible for stocking items on the shelves as well. When that happens those locations usually have a bell on the counter for you to ring and let the associate know a customer needs service. Not here. I waited in line for a good bit of time before an associate came up. I probably could have walked out of here with the item and just left and they wouldn't have known. I think that may have happened before. While standing there, I looked around the store to see if I could spot someone within the aisles, but I did not see anyone. After a few minutes and associate literally popped up from one of the aisles and came to wait on me. Customer service was good when they did make it to the register, but the wait is a little off putting.

The staff is one of the friendliest anywhere, and that includes those back at the pharmacy. Always…read morewilling to answer questions and help come up with a backup plan if they don't have something in stock or don't know the answer. The ONLY complaint I have, is the experience at the Drive-Thru is hit or miss. You always have to ring the bell to get someone to come over (even if there was another car in front of you being helped). Sometimes, it doesn't seem as though anyone hears the bell though. I've waited up to 10 minutes and rang the bell 3-5x before someone came over, and they seemed to think they were on top of things (as I said, they are super friendly, so I'd think they would acknowledge the wait if they were aware I had been waiting that long), so I'm guessing maybe the bell isn't a great alert system on the other side of the window...
