I love the Pharmacy Dept. Patrick is wonderful and they have gotten more help that know what they are doing. But, they just implemented a new system. When you go to the counter to pick-up your medication, you have type in your own information, and look over what you are picking up. The person at the counter no longer does it. Now how is that going to be efficient when an elderly person goes up there and knows nothing about computers? They have to type in your email address. And go thru the different screens just to get their medications. Who ever thought of this idea didn't think it through at all. read more

When you ask for the manager and the 20 year old kid tells you he's in charge you know there's a problem. The Pharmacy is the issue you got hilter Patrick dictating how it's going to go. Then you got the pharmacist so rude. They won't even look up and say hi. Making the poor girls at the counter work harder than them for less money. Than you got this (not to be racist) middle eastern pharmacist that is so rude working nights he thinks he runs the place Knowing there's no manager in the store to complain to. Been using this pharmacy for 26+ years and aside from the long lines that frequently plague this location among other CVS locations, it's conveniently located. Went in today and noticed they installed a new POS system that requires you to self check in. Instead of giving the associate at the counter your name and birth date, now you have to type the first name, last name, month of birth, and day of birth, then sign, and agree. What used to take five seconds to tell them your info is now one minute plus. This is a total fail on behalf of the leadership of CVS! Why would I want to touch a screen 15 to 20 times that's most likely infected with who knows what when I come to pick up my prescription? I'd love to be a fly on the wall in the boardroom when the leaders came up with idea, "hmmm how can we make it more difficult for customers while simultaneously risking them to a higher infection rate?" What did they do hire the Cracker Barrel CEO after she resigned? Poor choices make bad business, switching pharmacies, good luck to you CVS. read more

My family and I have been coming to CVS for years, and Patrick at the pharmacy has consistently provided the best customer service. He truly goes out of his way to help in any way he can and is always friendly, kind, and welcoming. No matter how busy the pharmacy is, he remains patient and professional. This level of care and consistency has been going on for years, and he has never once fallen short. Employees like Patrick are the reason customers continue coming back. Terrible Pharmacy. Pharmacist smells like cigarettes, like badly, at least he did a year ago. Then they filled my toddlers prescription asthma inhalator without the spacer and mask the doctor ordered because they said they didn't have a mask his size. So I had to go to another CVS down Santa Rosa, but since Mission Oaks already took my kids prescription out of the system, the Santa Rosa CVS couldn't give me a spacer and mask the doctor ordered under the prescription, I had to pay an additional $35 for it. I told the Santa Rosa pharmacy what happened at this Mission Oaks pharmacy and how they told me to just have my toddler use it without the spacer and mask, to which the other CVS pharmacist cringed. Fast forward a year, my wife goes to pick up a prescription here (not remembering the previous incident). Well they switched her prescription for the generic without telling her, fill the prescription and take it out of the system, despite the doctor ordering the name brand. The issue is the generic has 65% of patients reporting negative side effects, so despite them saying it's the same, it's not. It's terrible customer service and the worst pharmacy I've ever been to, pulling prescriptions out of the system without properly filling them and no notice to the patient/customer of what they're doing until it's too late. Even the store itself is a ghost town, with cashiers ignoring you and acting like it's a chore to ring you up because they have the self scanners. Apparently they just want to be paid to stand around. read more

The CVS on Mission Oaks in Camarillo, California is one of the best pharmacies that we have ever dealt with the quality of the staff the quality of care, the insurance and maintenance that they stand in front of your medication's to be refilled is absolutely fantastic. We are 40 year residence of the City Of Camarillo and for over two decades. We have been utilizing this CVS on Mission Oaks in Camarillo. I applaud the staff and the pharmacist for the excellent work that they do and appreciate very much that they stay so much in front of our medication's, especially being senior citizens and needing help and needing pharmacies like this Cvs to be ensuring that our prescriptions are filled in a timely manner, actually being in front of when the prescriptions are due notifying us by text and by message when prescriptions need to be refilled, even going to the point of recognizing that maybe a different doctor needs to be called. They are always staying in front of it and they do an excellent job and for that we give them five stars. Please go see the CVS yourself please deal with the staff in the pharmacy and you will see not only are they friendly not only are they professional, but they are watching your prescriptions to ensure that there's no interactions with different medicines and they are being professional in what they do for that we thank you so much. While this is not my favorite CVS, it meets the Mission Oaks area of Camarillo's needs just fine. This store is super clean. I find it to have some great clearance deals too. Regular prices are hefty, unless you have a receipt coupon. The staff are friendly and helpful. The pharmacy is a great place to get meds from. And the alcohol section is impressive for a drug store! Well since Rite-Aid is shutting down in a few months, I had to have all my prescriptions transferred here to CVS. After a very short wait in the quickly moving line I was seen by first one, and the directed to see a second person working the Drop-Off desk. He was pretty quickly done with the person in front of me, and then after a short description of my issue, he had their request to Rite Aid to send all my prescriptions over, completed. In and out. The store had maybe 15 customers in it, total, so yes it felt empty. It is right around the corner from us, so I hope it doesn't shut down. Convenient. read more

Horrible customer service at the pharmacy, employees that help the front always seem uneasy to say the least !

Patrick is a wonderful asset to the team and their customers. Every time I call he is incredibly polite, he handles my inquiry quickly and actually solves the problem. Last week I asked about stock of my medicine at the counter and the female cashier literally threw her hands up and said "I don't know" you have to call. I was standing right there. Patrick solved the issue in 2 seconds, like he always does. And again, he was so nice. I've been sent home with no prescription more times than I can count, but never by Patrick. He is the one and only reason I keep coming back. Why is it that pharmacy employees want to pass the issue onto someone else like a hot potato? Their first line of resolution is call someone else? went to CVS to pick up my medicine and buy a few things the pharmacy is decent but the staff at the front of the store is terrible. The staff is so rude and were not very nice with me. At the self checkout I accidentally placed the item on the wrong side and the staff was called to clear the information. When they got there they yelled at me and were very disrespectful with me. If your going to the CVS just for the pharmacy its fine but don't like the front staff at all. read more

The young lady in the front was extremely rude to her coworkers and customers. She talked to an older gentlemen with such disrespect. He asked a question while she was helping him and her response was sir do you see how long the line is you need to have patience. HE WAS AT THE CHECK OUT! The only other customers in line were me and a young man behind me in the self checkout line. The other 2 male workers were helping the other 2 customers. We were waiting for the one self check out because the other one needed staff to empty the coupon holder. She walked by it several times and did nothing to fix it. I would never allow someone to talk to me is disrespect. She was wearing a grey Newport sweater with no name tag. I hope a manager sees this and there is some kind of punishment because that is unacceptable. read more

This CVS is always clean and relatively well-stocked. Pretty quiet shopping center and easy to park, never a super long pharmacy line (unless you go right after work!) Overall, it's just okay. But, I'm writing this review because Patrick is the backbone of this entire CVS and he deserves recognition. He is so attentive, polite, and experienced. He has helped me resolve insurance issues, jump through hoops to receive discounts on my Accutane prescriptions, and advocated for me to receive my ADHD medication on time. He is always so sweet and you can tell he genuinely cares for his patients. And even when he is stressed or frustrated he never lets it show and is always logical and professional. I genuinely love this guy so much, and I just want him to know that we appreciate him! read more

Please keep your receipt I decided to buy a google paid card on nov 7 usually the gift cards thier work 100 times better than when I buy one at the cvs store in arneil this is the 1st google pay gift card that didn't work so I went on nov 14 and see if I can get a supervisor to help but 1st I got told thier was a supervisor all the time but wasn't one when i came in. So being in the pharmacy line at closing time at CVS Mission Oaks isn't like being in line to vote in California. I waited in line while two pharmacy personnel were at the counter watching two other check out two customers. When it's my turn, I step to the counter and give them my name for my Rx. "I'm sorry, we close at 6 pm." WTF. I had been standing in line. They watched me standing in line. There were two staff that could have checked me out. No warning that I wouldn't be helped, so don't waste my time waiting in line. read more

This is a large CVS, next door to Vons. It's a great store, with pretty much everything you need. I get my prescriptions there and they have always been correct, and always been filled quickly. I haven't had a problem with any rude employees - I've found them to be very helpful and efficient. A special shoutout to Patrick who is incredibly efficient and helpful in the Pharmacy. Every store should have a Patrick - I'm not sure why they don't. He's the problem solver, and resolves issues and questions that allow the prescription pickup line in the Pharmacy to move quickly. read more

This is my favorite store, the workers are great, I have gotten to know them and they already know me. I love looking at all the neat stuff that they have and especially for the holidays. I love the pharmacists at this location, but will not be shopping here ever again. Not only are they severely understaffed, but the staff members who remain are seriously lacking in customer service skills. There was one cashier on duty last night. She didn't bother looking up from her phone to greet me, simply said "cvs card or phone number" when the person in front of me finished. To be honest, he had yet to walk away and it took me a minute to realize she was speaking to me. She rang up my purchase without a word, other than "it will ask you how you want your receipt in a minute.' I entered my debit card and requested cash back. She said "Oh, we can't provide cash back at the moment" and pointed to a hand printed note on the register. I assumed that she had cancelled my transaction, but looked down to see that it had gone through. "I'm sorry - I didn't notice the sign." She just looked at me. "It appears the system debited my encounter for cash back." To which she responded "I don't think it did." ?? "Well, yes, it actually shows that I am owed $40 in change." She sighed. "Do you need to cancel the transaction?" "I can't refund your card when you ask for cash back." She just stared at me. I don't know if she expected me to just accept the fact that I couldn't get cash and walk away or what. She finally sighed, again, and said "I'll do it this one time, but you need to read the note." Granted, I should have paid closer attention, but here's how great customer service would look: "Hi, how are you? Do you have a CVS card or phone number? Here's your total - just to let you know, we aren't able to provide cash back at the moment" or, perhaps, since the cashier must approve the transaction prior to purchase, she could have noticed that I had requested cash back and cancelled it before it went through. Evidently she was too busy looking at her phone to do her job. The only explanation I can think of is that she expected me to walk away without my money, and then pocketed my cash to balance her drawer. Never again. Ever. read more

If you like standing in lines go to this CVS drug store in Mission Oaks. I have counted over a dozen people in line waiting for ONE check out person to take care of the frazzled ill customers. They try hard. MANAGEMENT is not listening nor do they care. Patrick is one of the very knowledgeable professionals and is exactly what a pharmacy staff member should be. He is thoroughly professional, very patient, and knows his medications. He, nor the other hard working staff, cannot make up for the restrictions placed on the ratio of numbers of staff to customers. I went recently to have a rx filled for my husband after a rough visit at the urgent care. We were already tired and exasperated and then we found out our insurance would not cover the medication we needed. Wow! So frustrating! But the pharmacy staff was so kind and Michael went out of his way to find a coupon for us to help with out of pocket expense. It really helped make a bad situation a lot less painful. read more

DO NOT HAVE YOUR PRESCRIPTION FILLED AT THIS PHARMACY!! The last 3 times I've come here, they've screwed something up. Today I had an eye procedure and my doctor called a prescription in. Due to a previous negative experience I wanted to verify it was ready before picking it up. When I called at 3:30, I was told it was ready. When I arrived a bit later (8:30) they couldn't find my prescription so I had to wait while they prepared it. I didn't notice until I got home that it wasn't the right prescription. They gave me a different eye drop that I had picked up 2 weeks ago!! I called to give them a piece of my mind and hopefully straighten things out and was told they don't have anything from my doctor today! Unbelievable! Seriously, they're going to end up killing someone giving the wrong medications! Stay far far away from this place unless you have a death wish! read more

It's close and they carry U-No bars and Dr. Bronner's soap so I go there. This place, however, has the slowest and most unhelpful register clerks ever. It takes forever to get through a long line and if you ask a question it is like you threw a wrench in their spokes. They also always ask for a CVS card but it does nothing when I run it. It seems most of the time when I come to this Cvs no one even knows people are walking in. There is no attentiveness... to find someone for help is nearly impossible. The lines are always long and I am not sure if it's the cashiers or the computer that is so slow but you are in line for a while. It would be nice if you really could just go in and out but that makes it very difficult. The location is pretty nice, I enjoy being able to go to the drug store and grocery store in one trip. read more

The pharmacy at this CVS is a total disaster. I went here once, to drop off a prescription..The girl helping me (I think she had some pink in her hair) took about 15 minutes to try and enter my Rx into the system..and then had to do it again. She said my prescription would have to be special ordered but it could arrive by the next day. So I came in the following day, and she had no record of my prescription. I found that same girl, with the pinkish hair, and she recognzied me but couldn't find the script. After nearly half an hour, she found my prescription...and said they didn't have it. No reason was given for why she didn't submit the special request, or why/how it got lost. She then proceeded to leave the counter and look around in the store for a generic version of my prescription. There were multiple customers around her, as she shouted to me. I became rather embarrassed about this. My prescription was prescription-only so she shouldn't have even tried to look for something Over the Counter. I left angry, embarrassed, and took my script to Target where they are much more professional and I am happier. Also- the manager is very smelly. I have seen this younger guy there multiple times, running about the store...the one day in the pharmacy, he came close and I noticed his pungent smell. Beware. read more
