My daughters and I came into this CVS Pharmacy on Canal St in Carlsbad, NM on April 27, 2024. It was midafternoon. The employees were friendly and mostly helpful. I came into see if they had this OTC allergy medication a friend had recommended. I noticed right away the low stock of other brands. Of course, I didn't see the new brand. As I was searching for it, I overheard one of the pharmacy representatives awkwardly assisting a customer. I got frustrated just listening. Trashy parking lot. Okay restrooms. I had a very disappointing experience with the pharmacist at this location. The customer service was unprofessional, rude, and dismissive. Instead of being helpful and respectful, the pharmacist made the interaction stressful and uncomfortable. A pharmacy should be a place where customers feel cared for and treated with professionalism. I hope management takes steps to improve the quality of service and communication with customers read more

No customer should feel uncomfortable or unwelcome while simply trying to get help. Professionalism and respect should be the minimum standard. Pharmacist with multi colored hair is worthless..... I literally walked up to the consultation window and there was not 1 customer at the counter. She told me I would have to wait, so I stood there for over 5 minutes with zero help. I had a very simple question she could have answered in 10 seconds while she was typing on her computer. She's a bad image for CVS and it's sad they allow people like her to damage their reputation. I will start using Walgreens from here on out! read more

Only have 1 pharmacist as I was told today, it's Friday the one pharmacist they have is off sick so they just close pharmacy ,now closed for weekend so be Monday at the soonest if pharmacist is better I do injections so not impressed to say the least. read more

This is the worse pharmacy I ever been to. I spoke with the pharmacist before my scripts got filled. I told them there was a certain type that was very toxic to human health. They understood. I showed up and payed for my meds and they gave me the toxic ones I told them I did not want. I left the meds with them and they tried to tell me I had to take them since I lid for them. I would never take that crap and left with out it. Soon after my Physician Refused future serviced to me so I had to find a new physician. I can't wait for a Good Samaritan to burn this place down so myself and all the other customers with horrible experiences from this place can feel a sense of Justice. I will never shop there again. Honestly, where do I begin? In 2022 we really shouldn't have to complain about a CVS. But, here we are. I went with my mother to get her rx from the pharmacy. The tech was awful. I will refrain from describing all the ways she was and is unprofessional. She refused to be helpful. My mother at the time had lost her voice and was trying to speak with this young woman and the lady just about-faced and walked away. As my mother tries to call after her this woman decides to answer the phone and stares at us. I'm 99% sure my mouth hit the floor. In an establishment that brags about customer service I'm horrified that people like this have a job. Working with pets might be more fitting. I would like to recognize the pharmacist who stepped in and apologized. Thank you. He promptly answered the two questions my mother had. Thanks again. As we went to the counter we discovered that the woman at the register had approached the grandchildren and reprimanded them for getting bouncy balls -- TO PURCHASE. I'm sorry, what? She yelled at them to not touch items and knock things over. They didn't do anything except get a toy so I could buy it. Of course, I confronted her about the incident and she admitted that she did say that as a precaution. Not your problem, lady. Do your job. Keep in mind these children never knocked anything over or disrupted anyone or anything in this store. Since visiting Carlsbad I have realized that this town boasts a whopping 100% of the rudest residents of NM. Being that their mission statement is something like "help people on their path to better health," I feel like hiring HELPFUL staff might be a start. Good luck. Go to Walgreens. read more

I switched pharmacies for convenience. I was charges $33.89 for a Med I get often and never pain over $11. When I asked if they ran my insurance he said yes and pointed at some numbers. I said but I've never paid this much anywhere else he said I could get a refund. I said Good RX was less than $11 he paid no attention to what I was saying just processed the refund. I put back the other things I was gonna buy at CVS and left the store. I will not be returning to this ill mannered pharmacy again. read more

Never once have I had to complain about a CVS pharmacy anywhere, ever, until Carlsbad, NM. I had dental surgery earlier today and dropped off some prescriptions for post-op care. They said it would be a couple hours. Ok, a little frustrating (blame the drug seekers for this I guess), but, fine. 3 hours later: They haven't even begun to fill it. The local anesthetic has worn off and it feels like I've been hit in the jaw with a bat. Their excuse? "We're busy". I just had surgery. It's painful. I need the antibiotics and pain meds. THEY. DON'T. CARE. Must be a Carlsbad thing, people in this town HATE their customers. And they get away with it. 4 hours later, they get to it. Like I said, never had this issue with a CVS ever, they've been my go-to for years. It's just CarlsBAD. read more

The worst place to fill prescriptions! They expect you to do all the foot work. They won't return phone calls or text when it's ready. I waited a whole month for prescriptions to be ready and I never got a call. Come to pick up and they tell me they me they called to approve 1 time and never followed up. So here I am doing phone calls to get an approval wasting my time. read more

We just moved here from out of town and tried to get some scripts filled at CVS. We were treated extremely disrespectfully by the Pharmacist who seemed to not care at all about patients in general. The Pharmacy Tech, was uneducated and unable to do her own job. When instructed to give us some of our hard copy scripts back she looked at them and said, "I don't know which ones." Being a former Tech I kindly explained to her which ones needed to be returned based off of the dates. She typed up the entire script we could fill only to find out after the drug wasn't even in stock. She didn't bother to check for a generic which I could see was clearly in stock. She asked the Pharmacist what to do and he said, "send them somewhere else". So if you want to get treated like a piece of crap... go to CVS read more

Very friendly staff and willing to work with you. I didn't have to come back and the wait was minimal
