On several occasions, they tried to get me to call for transfers when it is supposed to be them to call and some of them even refused to do it which I'm pretty sure it is not how it is supposed to go. I actually like perusing this store because they have a lot of products and options. However -- the pharmacy was so slow, I actually started going to a different location. When a bunch of the CVS's closed, a handful of their pharmacies merged into this location's pharmacy, including mine. I went from a quick drive thru location right by my house to this non-drive-thru location that always has a long line and a team that looks super stressed out. I continue to shop here if I'm in the area but don't use their pharmacy and don't go out of my way to stop by anymore.

Waited, came back and they told me to wait another 30 minutes and they would call out/text me it was ready. Waited at Marianos for another 30 minutes and no update so I left. Came back on 9/22 and said it still was not filled. I was told back to come the next day. I understand being understaffed but coming back 4 times for a simple prescription is a bit much.

The first person I spoke with on the phone walked me through the steps of transferring a med that is on backorder that they happened to have, literally step by step while I was on the verge of crying, they were so patient and reassuring. I wish I had written down names because every single person I spoke/ met with at this location was nothing but friendly, personable, and genuinely happy to help and answer any questions I had. Absolutely amazing. as someone with pretty bad anxiety, I think they should have 5 stars (and if you actually take the time to read through the recent less-than-5-star reviews, they are not really about the pharmacy ). First off, it'll take over a week for them to even begin filling your script (if you're lucky), takes forever for them to answer calls (they answer, then hang up to put you on hold, repeat)... I was on hold for 46 minutes before the pharmacist picked up, acting incredibly rude almost immediately. Yelling and interrupting me over medication. I would assume she was just having a bad day, but this is how Kristin and her entire staff has always acted. I'm so glad I recorded the call right when my gut had a bad feeling. I'm tempted to post it to social media and will most likely do so. I have never had an experience where anyone in "healthcare" has made me cry, but she had me in full on tears by end of call. Unfortunately, I had to call again, and the call was (clearly) accidentally answered for a moment and I heard the pharmacist say "just keep putting them on hold. They can't call all day" and then I was placed on hold again. My doctor was so shocked by Pharmacist Kristin Thomas's behavior that we are switching pharmacies and have reported her. I wish I read these reviews prior to this ordeal as it looks like other customers have reported her as well. Walgreens has now lost a TON of business due to Kristin Thomas/pharmacist. The only reason I have stuck with Walgreens is because that is the only pharmacy my insurance covers. The experience was so bad, I'm willing to pay more money for my prescriptions to get out of dealing with Walgreens. That was the straw that broke the camels back. The pharmacist and her staff should retake their courses because they are so off every time. Zero empathy. Each staff member will tell you something different, so you absolutely cannot depend on them. They almost filled expired meds not one time, but two times for me. Red flags everywhere. So the manager ended up refiling the claim (after lots of back and forth) but now apparently that will take weeks to figure out, which will impact the labs and other meds Ive picked up since. Then I come to find out there were two more from earlier in the year that they didn't apply to my insurance either. It's a huge pain in the a$$ and I'm sure it's going to take months to get it straightened out btwn Walgreens and insurance. I recently went in to pick up an rx that was sent in from urgent care across the street. It was for…read morean antibiotic for my daughter. I was already hesitant to come here because I had a really bad experience at the cvs/ target near me on elston. (I had to wait such a long time for an antibiotic for my crying baby.) But since this was urgent I just sucked it up and went in. I went to check in at the pharmacy to make sure they got the rx. The md at urgent care already told me it would be an hour for the med. it was definitely disappointing to hear that but I figured I'll deal with it. The customer in front of me was told it would be an hour for their med , so I went up I expected the same. The pharmacist got all my info for my daughter and then told me 20 minutes . I was so happy and relieved . I was already overwhelmed today because I had to deal with a sick kid, so to be shown some kindness and empathy was literally the highlight of my day. When her med was ready the rph gave me all the info regarding the med and I asked my questions. She was pleasant and even smiled and tried to engage with my sick daughter. I'm so grateful for this pharmacist Audrey . She is the epitome of how pharmacists should act. I wish there were more like her ! I will definitely come back again, hopefully not anytime soon. lol
