I have been to this CVS Pharmacy several times and all the staff were polite and friendly. I don't know about you but looking for one items among thousands is sometimes difficult but not for CVS Pharmacy they will walk with you to the aisle and show you. On one occasion I was looking for a household item and thought for sure they would not have it but they did. I agree at times they are higher but weigh getting in the car and driving to a store that would have the item I was looking for but I weigh the cost of gas and my time verses having it here costing a little more. I bought the item at CVS. Convenience was worth it at our CVS. They have a little of everything and it is worth it to me and there are items for sale typically that may attract your fancy or sweet tooth. I also weigh the value of having CVS right here on the island, it is convenient. In my opinion today February 21, 2026. Try CVS first, it is our store. read more

What is it with this place? They closed their Rockport and Aransas Pass locations, and now leave the coastal bend with this? Ick- their carpeting smells bad. This place seems to be slanted towards the beach tourists. They sell lots of suntan lotion and their beer selection is pretty impressive. But things seem to be at a higher price on things than at a regular ol' CVS, or a local supermarket for that matter. $4.59 for a bag of chips?! Whoa. I didn't even try the pharmacy or the magazine section. The staff all seemed to be pretty aloof, but thanks to the self-checkout, we were in and outta there somewhat quickly. The parking was easy. It's not exactly easy to access this spot since there's barriers all over the intersection preventing vehicles from turning right in there, and you need to do a bunch of u-turns to get there. Gah. So my daughter is diabetic and she has an insulin pump. We forgot her syringes and came down here for a 4 day vacation. So just pop in CVS right? My wife goes up there and the pharmacist doesn't know the policy and says he can't sell them without a Rx. Either he's an idiot or terribly uninformed. There are millions of people who need to inject medicine every day. They may or may not get prescriptions for the syringes. Sometimes the insurance cost of a syringe is more expensive than the cash cost. CVS are also (by the way) are notoriously high in insulin cost. No one wants to be sick while you're on vacation, but I was. A nice lady with curly blonde hair (didn't get her name) was very helpful and friendly at the pharmacy drive thru. Marcus was extremely helpful-first by walking me through the self-administered Covid test (which later came back positive), and then the next day helping me get my prescriptions after the urgent care clinic accidentally faxed them to another CVS location. I've been to this location every time we've been on the island while on our annual vacation, but this was my first experience with the pharmacy. I've had no problems whatsoever, so I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this store. read more

I first shopped at this location yesterday to use my 40% off coupon. Since it wouldn't pull up online the very friendly cashier convince me to purchase the CVS Care subscription which gave me a great discount and promised rewards in the future. I went back today and the CarePass was not linked to my account! The CVS app was "having technical difficulties" yet the cashier kept showing me that her phone app was working. I explained that it shouldn't even matter about the app since the account is linked to my phone number! I asked for the store mgr but she was out and no one else could help. My husband was extremely irritated by the delay that kept him from fishing and I was furious that there was no support. We left and I called the 1-800 line. After a 25 minute wait I finally got a very nice rep, Portia, who explained she'd have to transfer me to the care pass dept. Mitch then apologized that my care account wasn't showing up and wanted to know what information I had given to the cashier. I explained the whole situation AGAIN and she told me that she'd have to place me on hold. We were disconnected and they never called back!!! Who seemed to be the manager was very rude. They closed at 6 and I arrived at 5:55 which was plenty of time because I was just picking up a filled prescription. They had already close the drive thru 5 mins early so I had to pull around and find a parking spot which put me inside at 5:58. Well the manager had already signed out apparently and was visibly and verbally rude about having to sign back in even though she was still on the clock. At one point clapping her hands saying that they close at six which is funny because it wasn't six yet but apparently they close 10-15 minutes early and expect to be walking out the building at six. Man I wish I could do that at my job but last time I checked if a paying customer walks in at 5:59:59 then we are taking care of them until they leave. But I guess it's a cvs in Corpus Christi. Going down hill. A couple of weeks ago they were out of stock on mosquito repellent. Last night no Chex Mix. To top off last night's visit the self checkout machine gave me my change in $1 bills. (17 of them...) They also do not ever stock distilled water (hello! You are a pharmacy - distilled water is needed for many health-medical applications). Very helpful staff, both in the store & pharmacy. At times more convenient than traveling over the bridge to H.E.B. But, isn't there always a "but", they definitely have the "Island price" syndrome going on. Expect to pay more for an item than you would in Corpus. read more
