Then she decided to yell at me from behind the counter with micro aggressions , giving me hundred facial expressions and all the attitude you could expect from a Petulant teenager from inside of her glorified goldfish bowl . Her face was contorting as she hurled backhanded remarks my way complete with all the 1-raised eyebrow and all the eye rolls , as her mouth crumpled up as she sputtered out her little utterances between going from one expression to the next . I thought plaque dont crack yet here we are ? did she not go to college -and go through a hiring process -to get this job ??? she is actually throwing herself down the trash by being rude to the sick patients who come for their medications ? Her colleagues jaws dropped as she humiliated herself at my expense . I called the cvs complaint hotline for them to take the report and the operator took his reports and said they will do an internal investigation (into what I consider to be patient abuse) ! Be proud of who you are and what you represent , think for your co workers , customers, humanity , the oath you took or the amount of student debt it took for you to get here to act this way This is not how you treat infirmary customers looking for relief !!! Also in an economy where nobody can get a job , count your lucky stars you actually have one before you use it to get fired

It's a pharmacy where everyone knows your name :-) They have plenty of medical necessities for ourchase such as creams you find in the hospitals (calmseptine) to locally produced items such as candles and Nola apparels. I usually come here to fill a prescription that other "retail" pharmacies do not carry. Today they only had a few of my pills left in stock. They filled what they had and will call me next week to come get the rest. How nice! I really like that old town feel that we are currently missing! I hope everyone can come support their locals. I think my prescription may be a few dollars more but worth it for supporting my local pharmacy.

I understand people's desires for freedom, but I also know the burden of dealing with long term effects of viral illnesses- and I know the burden of caution for someone I love who is highly vulnerable. It isn't something I would wish on anyone- and I don't just wish- I know my actions to prevent the spread of illness matter. I'd think a pharmacy next to the hospital would do better. I've seen this at restaurants and grocery stores- but a pharmacy?? Put a sign on the outside "attention- employees at the store don't wear masks- if that's cool with you come on in. If you are visiting ting someone at the hospital with a high infection risk or have a high infection risk yourself- shop at Walgreens" I would've gone elsewhere.

I mention this simply because, while we waited, we observed a pharmacy staff of 6-7 (pharmacists, pharm techs, clerks, etc.) fighting an uphill battle to complete tasks and serve a flood of clients. To their credit, they performed with great efficiency and were respectful, helpful, and welcoming to all with whom they dealt. I was impressed. I have no pharmacy experience, but as a retired biomedical professional with an understanding of difficulties in the industry that have grown since the recent pandemic, I observed obvious staffing issues that must be addressed by management. I'm sure that duties have increased for all employees (especially for registered pharmacists!), but this does not excuse superhuman workloads. I hope that management will find original and equitable solutions to this issue.
