I was having kidney stones and peeing blood, and they would not let me use their bathroom. I was there to get prescriptions. The pharmacist told me to ask someone at the front and then the security guy told me to lose the attitude and go across the street. Do you all know what Ally's law is? What purpose are you there for? Typical of most downtown retail pharmacies this was the closest to union station. Yes you'll find weird items locked up - but luckily I just needed allergy medication which was out in the open. I guess there really isn't a secondary market for allergy drugs. read more

I was fine with this CVS because it had a lot of Colorado souvenirs but I wanted some liquor but they only had beer and wine. So that was the only thing that was a bummer for me. The store was clean and the employees were helpful. The location is great because it's close to Union Station in Lodo. read more

Another bad pharmacy review: I had a prescription filled on Friday and the pharmacy was closed all weekend. I understand that they had staffing issues but they were unable to transfer my prescription aka I was left without & no one was willing to help. I returned Monday when they told me they would be available. A staff member (not all!!) was very very disrespectful and rude throughout my whole experience. I waited for 40 minutes (with me checking in every 5 mins), all while the pharm manager watched this all happen and did nothing to help. I see why this store has such poor ratings. I would recommend using other stores if possible. Very disappointed. read more

I used to be a loyal customer but I've been burned twice now because they go to great lengths to avoid answering the phone, first time by just never answering it when I had had a critical prescription that needed to be filled and more recently because they have gone to a complicated phone tree that refuses to allow you to speak to a pharmacist. Time to find a new place. read more

Worst pharmacy I have ever been. I have been waiting for a prescription that I really need for over 26 hours. I showed up and there was one pharmacist and one guy helping people in line and they said it would be a while. Told me they would expedite my prescription and it would be 30 minutes. I came back an hour and a half later (3 times the amount of time they told me) and they proceeded to tell me they still hadn't started on it. I simply asked how long it would be, because I don't want to keep coming back time after time, when they are telling me times that are not accurate. Both guys went off on me and were complete assholes. I understand they are understaffed but I was very nice to them and they were super rude to me. I came back and the employee told me the pharmacist literally just left mid shift and never came back. I will never ever come back to this pharmacy. read more

The pharmacy techs are very rude. I submitted a prescription transfer, received the email confirmation, but never heard back. I called and the pharmacist kept cutting me off to talk about these profiles. Like bro chill. Just ask me for my information. I don't care or know about how your system works. He also said it would take a week to transfer it. Went to Walgreens right after this and got my transfers in an hour. I've never used the pharmacy at CVS and never will. read more

I scheduled a Covid vaccine at this location a week ago. When I arrived at the store, I was told that the pharmacy was closed and that there was nobody there to do my vaccine. I had intentionally scheduled this on a day that I had time to feel a little under the weather following the vaccine. I checked online and there were no other CVS stores within a 20 mile radius that had any vaccines appointment for the same day. So I went to King Soopers instead. There, I was told that they couldn't do my vaccine either because CVS had already ran it through my insurance. Let's first try to give them the benefit of the doubt and say that nobody knew that the store would be closed at the time of my scheduling. Could be an honest mistake, but then why wouldn't they send any kind of notification telling me not to waste my time and come in?? Somebody was clearly there, working at some point, because they fraudulently charged my insurance for a vaccine that I did not receive. When I called their customer service, I was told that they couldn't help me either. Because the store is that entity that charged my insurance, they also have to be the entity to reverse that charge. Had an emergency vet visit over the past weekend and unfortunately discovered heart disease in our pet. Need to give a 2x daily injection from now on. Called around to see what pharmacy would have the medication we need and was directed here by a different Target CVS. Was reminded during that call to make sure our GoodRx card was Vet specific and told to go to this location because they have what we need. Called to make sure, left on hold for 20 minutes plus. No big deal people are busy. Wife gets to the store so I hang up. Pharmacist complains to my wife that she's been there alone for an hour, she doesn't have time to fill our prescription or even check stock. WE HAVE A SIGNED PRESCRIPTION! Also tells my wife CVS no longer accepts Veterinarian GoodRx... So why dod the pharmacist at the other CVS tell me to make sure to bring it? Unbelievable. Unacceptable. read more

Horrifying lead pharmacist. I have to echo another of these reviews in that the lead pharmacist, if not "profiling" people, is being negligent in filling prescriptions for controlled substances. My doctor sent over my prescription weeks before it was due to pickup. The day before pickup, I got a notification via text that they were working on it. The day of pickup, another text that it was ready to pick up. When I went to pick it up, on schedule, the lead pharmacist nonchalantly tells me they don't have this drug in stock and it will be 3 days before they can get it in (on account of the holiday weekend.) Like many pharmaceuticals, this particular drug produces withdrawal effects if any doses are missed, so it's extremely important that I don't skip around. For that reason, I am diligent about getting my prescriptions there with time to spare. Regarding the false alerts to my phone and why with 2 weeks holding on to it, they didn't order it ahead for my pickup date, he could only offer a meek "sorry." Drugs that can put you into withdrawal are SERIOUS BUSINESS. To play around with that is to play around with people's lives and I will be reporting this pharmacist to their corporate office. ETA: I don't live in San Francisco, I live in Denver, around the corner from this pharmacy. read more

I just found out today that my pet which I have had for 13 years and loved every single day, has heart failure and could die at any time. I have two prescriptions that can be filled at a human drugstore, which will save me some money versus filling them a standard veterinary location. I called this location with the number listed for the pharmacy twice today, once at 5:30, one shortly after, approximately 5:35. There was no answer at all, the line rang for 20 to 30 times before I decide to hang up. The hours listed when I checked on my phone show it is open till 10 PM, so I assumed that that meant for all services, including pharmacy. This apparently is not the case. I work long hours to make sure I can pay all my bills, and don't have a lot of availability to stop by drug stores during regular business hours, but could have done so today if I knew it was necessary. When I arrived at approximately 8:40 PM, the pharmacy was closed. If you want to spend hard earned money to fill a life-saving medication for a beloved family member, I suggest you do it at a different pharmacy who has the decency to answer your call, or at least put you in a queue so that you can wait for someone to answer! read more

I needed 4 passport photos today so I went to CVS on 18th street, near Union Station, Denver. The service was very, very poor! The lack of enthusiasm was even worse. The guy who took the photo didn't seem to have the skill. The photo they printed was not of the quality required by the US authorities - there was a shadow cast on the image and they could not rectify that by taking another photo using a flash because the camera they used had no flash. I left empty handed and before leaving, I requested that my image be deleted from their camera, and that the printed image, that was of no use, be shredded - a perfectly legitimate request. This was done, rather reluctantly, by cutting the photo with a scissors over a bin behind the counter. When I walked out the store, I heard the two young men laugh behind my back. Quite unprofessional. Spare yourselves the effort. You will be disappointed. There are far better places to go to. read more
