It's so much easier to just drive up when you're not feeling well. Obviously with a pharmacy there's it much glitz and glamour but they do carry all your over the counter needs as well as several health supplements. Occasionally publix will run a sale in there app which makes it a good time to stock up on essentials I.e Claritin, Benadryl, ibuprofen. The price is usually really decent and then obviously you can use your FSA benefits. I have never really have any issues with them being out of my medication. If you have the Publix pharmacy app you can also get text notifications of when your meds are ready so you're not having to wait for them in person. I like that option. You can also request refills through the app as well, this is such a game changer! Service wise, honestly it's pretty hit or miss. They're not all necessarily nice with an exception of maybe the pharmacy manager and one other person I've encountered. This seems to be a trend at most of the locations. They can also be a little slow with getting your prescriptions together even when you do show up in person. All in all though, I do prefer the Publix pharmacy to other pharmacies and they do offer several options to make it convenient to get your medicine.

I just want to give a shout out to B and her awesome team who literally came to my rescue today. I am always coming here for my family members meds, but today it was for me. I tested positive for Covid and my doctor called in my script that needed to be started right away. Without hesitation, team member B got my medicine ready by the time I drove to the store. And tbh, I'm sure pharmacists are just as frustrated with the communication nightmare they wrestle with between drs, insurance companies and patients who just want their drugs. But PTP has the friendliest and most competent staff I've personally experienced. They go out of their way to work with me and help me get what I need and usually recognize my voice over the phone. I'm conflicted over telling everyone about my favorite little pharmacy and keeping it to myself because I rarely have to wait in line and sometimes even get to use the 15 minute parking which is like winning the lottery.

It turned out perfectly! I was able to find a good parking spot up front. I'm always greeted right away, and payment is a breeze with Apple Pay! On top of it, they give you any updates etc you may need while checking out. When I called Walgreens (sister pharmacy to Duane Reade which was my NYC pharmacy), they said it wouldn't be a problem at all to get my meds. I just had to go online and do an Rx transfer request. Lo and behold, after putting in this request online, my prescription was ready for pickup in 2 days. You really can't beat that.
