To be rude, snarky and disgusting in the morning because you all failed to order the correct quantity and follow up on any additional quantities that were needing to be ordered is not the fault of the patient. Your job is to order the drugs as needed Ensure that you have enough to fill your orders and update the system so that way your patient can receive them. That is not what is happening that is not acceptable. No one should have to wait 2+ weeks to receive medication. If there was an issue with the manufacturers distribution, some form of communication should've been relate to the patient or you all should've been working with. Your local network of stores to obtain the additional quantities needed to fill these orders. Especially for a restrictive drug. To be so disregarding of the patient's need for their medication and the length of time waiting for medication is just disgusting. If Sophia cannot provide the level of service that is expected from a Walgreens associate then maybe she should not be one.

My wife chose this drugstore as our primary pharmacy, mainly because it's convenient for us on Lily Cache in Bolingbrook (as a bonus, there's a Buona Beef directly across Weber Rd, so I usually dip in for a sandwich after picking up her prescription). I'd estimate one of us stops here every 3 weeks, so we're fairly frequent flyers. We recently encountered an issue where they processed my wife's prescription incorrectly. Instead of giving her 90 pills for 30 days (@3/day), they gave her 30 pills total believing it to be 1/day. I have to think there are instructions clearly printed on the label--because y'know, MEDICINE--so someone working here wasn't paying attention. After bouncing back and forth with phonecalls, one woman eventually apologized for the oversight of a coworker and vowed to fix it, which they did. Over the last few months my wife's made some friends over in pharmacy pickup, and they've been kind to her and helpful for the most part (excluding the one lady who bungled the 'scrip). I, on the other hand, am given a chilly reception any time I walk in. The associates at checkout barely engage in eye contact or return pleasant small talk, hardly ever doling out a 'thanks' or 'have a nice day'. On the last trip, the guy bagged my snacks and rang me up without saying a word. I might as well be a leper. * TL;DR * Pickup ya meds, grab a snack, and bounce. There's not much else here worth lingering for. It's a shame this Walgreens doesn't have a liquor aisle (wah wah), since a wall fridge with cold beer would've definitely bumped them up a star, at least. The customer service has been generally poor across 5-10 visits; messing up an important prescription for medication seals their lamentable fate.

Many times, our experience has been perfectly fine, and we have met pharmacy staff who were genuinely helpful. But over the past year, we have consistently noticed longer wait times, sometimes even days for routine medications. On multiple occasions, prescriptions marked as "ready in a few hours" weren't filled until the next day. These delays are frustrating, but we understand that pharmacies can be busy and short‑staffed. However, today was my breaking point, and it will be the last time we use Walgreens for our prescriptions. Our one‑year‑old daughter has been sick all week and was diagnosed with an ear infection. The urgent care facility sent her antibiotic prescription to Walgreens. Shortly after, we received an electronic notice saying the medication was out of stock. When we called to request a transfer, we were told the antibiotic was actually in stock and would be ready in an hour. Near the end of that hour, we received another update pushing the pickup time out three days. When we called again, they then confirmed it was, in fact, out of stock. We asked that the prescription be transferred to a nearby pharmacy that had the medication. Walgreens told us their Ottawa location had it in stock and transferred it there. I called the Ottawa store several times with no answer. When I drove there, I found the pharmacy closed--at 6:30 p.m. on a Saturday. I then went to CVS in Peru, where they confirmed they had the antibiotic available but needed Walgreens to release the prescription. When I returned to Walgreens, the pharmacy was closed again without any explanation. I approached an employee, who wouldn't make eye contact and simply said the staff was on break. I waited more than 20 minutes. When the pharmacy employees returned, they seemed visibly irritated and offered no apology or acknowledgment of the situation when I explained what had happened. They did ultimately transfer the prescription, and we genuinely appreciate that. CVS, on the other hand, helped us immediately. They filled the medication quickly and treated us with basic kindness and understanding. CVS: 10/10 Walgreens: 0/10

I am constantly given incorrect information about medications that I need in order to function, and whenever I try to give any feedback, the employees have such a bad attitude that I genuinely wonder if they knew they were going to be providing customer service before they decided to take this job. No boss I have ever had would allow me to behave the way they do in front of a customer. Today I did something that is quite rare for me - I asked to speak to the pharmacy manager. Before I could even get to the reason why I was displeased, ***OLIVIA*** interrupted me in the middle of my sentence to claim (inaccurately, and in a particularly arrogant and patronizing tone) that she had said something completely different to me that morning. Which was all the more unprofessional, because she was not part of the conversation to begin with, and if I am asking to give feedback to your manager, the least you could be expected to do as an employee is to allow that feedback to be heard. This is not something that only *I* have an issue with. It is a common theme in all the online reviews that have been posted in the past several years, and it's something I've experienced at multiple Walgreens locations. No other pharmacy I go to struggles this much to tell me accurately whether they have a medication in stock and a general estimate of when it will be ready, because that is one of the most simple and essential functions of a pharmacy employee. But at Walgreens, they will tell you whatever answer they think gets you out of their hair fastest, then when you come back and find out that they lied to you, they will act like you're expecting a Herculean feat of advanced pharmacology instead of simple accurate information. And if you have any issue with their attitudes, apparently they'll interrupt you before you can even complain to cover their own butts. Medications are not something frivolous, they are important things that people put into their bodies every day in order to live healthy and productive lives. Honesty, common sense, and human decency should be the bare minimum. And no business should treat their customers like an inconvenience, but it is especially egregious when a pharmacy does so. I got my prescriptions from Walgreens for the first 29 years of my life, and I never will again for as long as I live. And after today's experience - the final straw, if you will - I will never spend another penny at Walgreens for any household items either. I'm not sure if the management is too incompetent to oversee and correct these issues, or if they simply don't care. Either way, it's an abject embarrassment.

Went to the drive-thru pharmacy on 10/21/15, got waited on immediately (unlike my local Walgreens where I'm waiting forever) and was on my way. The main reason for my review is my 2nd visit to the store on 10/30/15. I needed some cute eyelashes to go with my Halloween costume. I walked in and proceeded to the aisle where the eyelashes were. While looking, I became confused as to which ones included glue and which ones didn't. A female employee came over to me and asked me if I needed help which I desperately did. I am hoping that the manager of this store reads this review and is able to tell from the receipt that I've included who this person is as she rang up my items also. This woman was a pure ANGEL who deserves recognition. She was friendly first of all and took a lot of time helping me figure out which eyelashes were which. She also helped me find some eyelashes in another section specifically for Halloween. She was so NICE!!! And I was so appreciative that she was there to help me. The eyelashes I ended up choosing because of her were fun, different and went well with my costume. I will be back to this Walgreens. Nothing like getting great customer service. Thank You!
