I really wish I could give this CVS pharmacy location negative stars. The staff is so slow and so unhelpful. I don't think these people really like their jobs. I don't know who manages this place but this is definitely the weakest link in the CVS chain. Overall, the store is crowded, the carpet is very dirty, and it's generally disorganized and chaotic. So, I needed to call the pharmacy regarding a prescription my doctor sent to them, but I could not find it in my list of medications. I could find the most recent refill of the now expired prescription, but there was NO option for them to contact the prescriber. That option is standard. I tried to call them in vain to speak with a human being. There is NO WAY TO GET AHOLD OF A HUMAN BEING!! THEY HAVE MADE IT MANDATORY TO LEAVE A VOICEMAIL MESSAGE WITH THE QUESTION. TO DO THAT, THEY MANDATE DATE OF BIRTH TO BE INCLUDED. THAT IS PHI!! I REFUSE TO LEAVE THAT INFORMATION ON AN UNSECURED VOICEMAIL MESSAGE!! So, I drove to the pharmacy to ask my question in person. The very nice pharmacy tech confirmed for me that they now have an automated process for telephone requests. UGH!!!!!!! FUCK YOU, CVS!! THE EVIL EMPIRE ONCE AGAIN PROVES THAT THEY DO NOT GIVE A SHIT ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE. I have transferred my prescriptions to another pharmacy that I have been using. Embarrassing pharmacy staff. Multiple failed attempts to fill a prescription and for a different reason each time. They've called my doctor several times and even left me a voicemail that the prescription was filled (which I played to the next person I spoke to who wouldn't fill it). Although I have gone to CVS MinuteClinic multiple times in the past for both care and vaccinations, this experience in Hopkinton, MA was *terrible.* My husband and I both scheduled Mpox vaccinations together. We followed the instructions, showing up early and checking us both in according to the online instructions. Everything then fell apart. While we waited, we saw a CVS associate walk up to the patient next to us and ask her, loudly, whether she was pregnant and how she HAD to know since it was a required question before receiving the MMR vaccine. No privacy, apparently. Then, the associate walked over to us, thrust her phone into our face, and asked "This you?" No hi, no warmth. Just a blunt question. I said yes and she disappeared for 20 minutes, returning well after our scheduled time. Then, she walked me into the vaccine area, which was mostly open to other customers, and said "I need to see a muscle. This vaccine is for under the skin." As she was about to jab me, she loudly asked "Why are you getting this vaccine?" I said that I am at heightened risk (I didn't tell her more since the vaccine area was not remotely private). She pushed further and said: "Why are you at risk?" Again, there is no privacy in the vaccine area (every waiting customer can hear anything that's being discussed) so I just repeated what I said. She jabbed me and said "You're done." She failed to tell me that I needed a follow up vaccine in 28 days (I had to walk up to the pharmacy counter and ask). She ushered me out and called another customer. I was confused because we checked in my husband, too. She said "He's not on my list." I showed her the message I received from CVS and it listed both myself and my husband and confirmed we both checked in. She said "I only see you. I didn't cause this problem" and then told me to see the front desk. The front desk saw me approach and asked "What is it?" Again: the customer service was horrible. I told her my husband was not taken in even though he is listed on the appointment and we checked in. She asked for my husband's name (twice) and his birthday (three times) and said "He's not in the system." I showed her the appointment confirmation and the check-in confirmation and she kept staring at the screen, not even looking at either of us, and said "This is a system issue. Not my fault." I got very upset and said "Blaming a machine is not customer service. Can you solve this problem? My email clearly shows we both drove half and hour for Mpox vaccines." She disappeared for 15 minutes and came back and said "Okay, fine. He can get one. But he has to wait for 30 minutes while the vaccine thaws. It's frozen. Go sit down." No sorry. I made it a point to tell her and the other associate they were AWFUL at their jobs and walked out the door, leaving my husband to wait for 30 minutes. Our appointment was at 5:30 PM. He walked out of CVS at 6:45 PM due to CVS's system mistake and their associate's utterly terrible customer service. Our privacy was not protected, errors were not acknowledged, and we were given ZERO information about the vaccine or any follow up steps (which are required). read more

Pathetic business model in this pharmacy -- you order online, request a pick-up time, show up sometime after that pick-up time & they haven't even started working on it (ask you to wait around for 20 minutes on your time), so you leave (with assurances that they'll work on it now) and come back a day later and they still haven't even started working on it. So next time you call ahead -- and nobody answers the phone (perpetual on hold). Pathetic & done with them. read more

Fool me once, twice or three times, when it comes to a new location, my family and I tend to give them the benefit of the doubt while they ramp up. No longer! CVS in Hopkinton has been up and running almost a year, yet their pharmacy staff is always over committing and under delivering, by days. They are always under staffed and over stressed! After the last five months of tries in my home town, I am sadly going back to Milford where they do not commit unless they can follow through, to the point of suggesting alternative places to go if I am in a hurry. Very pleasant staff who seem to get along well and many long timers there who I enjoy. The driveup window is a bonus and well staffed too! CVS corporate needs to experince the almost 10 people deep lines that often occur. The town boycotted this location for many months, then once built, some locals started to come into the beautifully revamped store. NOW let's get staffed up and more business will come along! I brought a few things in to return, when I asked the cashier for store credit she said, "What's that?". Not a big deal, she hasn't been trained on that yet, so I asked for a supervisor. The supervisor - Brian - came up and I asked him for store credit and he said, "What's that?". So I explained what a store credit was to him and he refused to do it without a receipt. Every CVS will give you a store credit for a non-receipted return, you just need an I.D. I asked him why he wouldn't do it and he just said, "I'm not doing it." For about 18 years, I've had prescriptions filled at CVS on Medway Rd. in Milford. With two exceptions ( a one-time experience of a rude male pharmacist, long gone, and one incident when they gave me someone else's medication) they have been consistently efficient and friendly. I still rely on them for most prescriptions. HOWEVER, having had numerous repeat oral surgeries over the past 2 years, and needing to pick up several medications enroute home, I have used Hopkinton CVS because it is directly on the drive home. Invariably one prescription has needed to be handed in in person. Every time, I am told it will be a 30 minute wait, decide to wait as it would take that long to go home and return, and every time, the wait extends to well over an hour. While the staff is usually friendly, there seem to be issues with communication, being short-staffed, having a consistent system, etc. In terms of the physical set-up, there is no set-apart, designated area to sit, stand, or wait; people line up or mill around awkwardly in the adjacent aisles. In the future, I plan to drive the extra miles to Milford and back. read more

On Friday, May 17th, I was promised that a supervisor would get back to me by the end of the afternoon. So, I said, "I will hear from one by 6PM today?" The person said that I should, that they return phone calls within 24 hours. Well, lo and behold, NO ONE CALLED ME BACK! Am I surprised? NO. I called on Monday, May 20th, to find out what was going on. I spoke to a lovely customer rep. (CVS needs to clone that woman.) She listened and passed me on to a supervisor. I talked to the supervisor, who was professional and listened. She had explained that it was the cvs.com team that needed to help. She was going to contact them and had asked me to stay on the line. After having been on the phone for another 30 minutes, I decided to not wait and had asked for return call. I said that I had wanted whoever to call me back to state what the problem was/how it had happened and to tell me when it will be fixed. Last evening, someone named Melissa left a voice mail message for me. She called me by an incorrect last name(!!) and asked me to return her call. I did that today. It went to voice mail. I checked cvs.com, and I STILL CANNOT ACCESS MY PRESCRIPTIONS!! WHEN WILL THIS EVER FUCKING END?? My next step is to contact my insurer, who has a special deal with CVS, to file a complaint against CVS and to see if they can intercede on my behalf. read more

Even though I live in Westwood, I run errands out in Milford often. Up to only a few months ago, I kept seeing signs on people's lawns along Route 109 in Milford and other areas of town with a cross through a CVS logo, and an advertisement for a TinyURL. One day, out of curiosity, I wrote down the link and searched it after finishing whatever I was doing in Milford. Before searching it, I thought it was about a new CVS in Milford (which would be sort of ridiculous, since their are 2 CVS's, 2 Rite Aid's, a Walgreen's, and a pharmacy inside Target). Now, since the argument was over CVS coming to Hopkinton, it was much more controversial, even though the answer should have been an immediate YES. Hopkinton isn't huge, but is large enough to hold a chain and independent pharmacy. And to be honest, this CVS came out REALLY well. The entrance is sort of weird, but once inside the store is large, spacious and vast. Large, clean, and bright store and large variety and selection of everything. Doesn't really look bad in the center, as they made the exterior red and gold, and they really seemed to try making it work into Hopkinton Center in the best way possible... which I sort out think they succeeded with. No, maybe it doesn't have the Hallmark section like Hopkinton Drug across the street, or the extended selection of handicapped wheelchairs and other products of that sort, however, some people want lower prices and a newer, cleaner environment and like having CVS as an option too! I just visited Hopkinton Drug prior to coming here and have nothing bad to say about it. However, I will say that I was asked by an employee here if I needed help looking for anything, and wasn't at the other store. All in all, I think this is a good addition to Hopkinton Center and would definitely suggest stopping by if you need something quick in the area.... if you're looking for gifts, more unique items, cards, or handicapped items, Hopkinton Drug may be the better choice. read more

A simple request at Hopkinton CVS. I wanted privacy on my medication and personal information Simple. I called and (supposedly) set up a situation where no prescription information would be granted. I am a regular customer. A week later, Mr. X (I know who it was) called in to find if a prescription (a drug requiring a driver's license as a controlled substance) had been ordered. The sales tech told him/her that it had in fact been ordered and had been picked up a few days earlier. No privacy but a whole lot of free information. He/Her told me about this and I was infuriated. I called the pharmacist, she looked up my record, and confirmed my request of privacy. His/Her first response was that it was illegal to assume another's identity. The person never even gave a name. No impersonation. The pharmacist's next response was that entering the store with a false name was illegal. Never went into the store. The prescription requires an official I.D. He/She tried every thing possible to escape responsibility. I fully intend to report this to Corporate. If this is a legal infraction, then I will discuss this with an attorney. Other yelps have complained about very slow service and I agree. Some so-called techs are slow and haughty. One in particular. Need a new manager and a new staff. read more
