This is the closest super market to our house and the main market for Uxbridge in general. I'd have to say that overall it's a nice place. The staff is nice. The prices are a little bit higher than a Stop and Shop or Shaws, but the quality is also higher. Let me just lay out the negatives: The deli selections aren't up to pay with the quality of the rest if the market. Boars Head just blows whatever Hannaford has out of the water. They don't always keep up with stocking meat. I've gone there many times looking for fresh chicken tenders or shaved steak only to see none was left. Last negative, the parking lot. Poorly designed, full of idiots who can't drive or park, and gets worse when there's snow. Besides those things, Hannaford is a good market to have close to your house. read more

My review specifically is of the pharmacy inside Hannaford Uxbridge. I rate them A+ 5star EXCELLENT. The team was friendly, helpful efficient accommodating. They searched to find a medication for my dog. That is a very hard to find medication. They were able to secure his prescription within 24 hours. They were all incredibly nice. I give them the highest recommendation. Also, the store also gets high accolades for me for their bright, modern appearance, cleanliness, friendly staff, selection of specialty foods, fair prices, and wonderful self check out even though the parking lot is always a little busy. Worst and unfortunately, only Super Market in Uxbridge. Never has what you need and always out of stock on bread and chicken. Deli doesn't know what thin slice means, and they close up at 7 pm. Ya, 7pm! Pretty bad for people who work for a living and dont get home till after 7 pm because of rush hour. I showed up once at 7:03pm, and they wouldn't take my order. So customer service sucks too. The meat section is alright as long as it doesn't expire in 3 days and they never have chicken. Below is a picture of the bread section on a Tuesday night. Do yourself a favor, shop at Shaws 7 minutes away in Whitinsville. It might be a little more expensive, but better options, better produce, and a much cleaner store. Great in store shopping, TERRIBLE online ordering/pick up. Only did online ordering twice and both times were terrible. Pick up times are crazy. I started my order at 9am and the earliest time was 5pm. I cant imagine why it would be that long. The app is terrible to navigate. I would add items to my cart, but then they would suddenly disappear, and I wouldn't realize until after I pick up my order. And I'm not talking about one or two items. It's always several items. My store is located in a terrible service area. So when I click the link to say "im here", it won't load, so that adds another 5 minutes to my trip that's supposed to be quick. This particular experience I called the number after the website wouldn't load. The call dropped the first time, then the second time rang for about 3 minutes, but then hung up. Ridiculous!! Finally someone answered and I was then next in Line. But somehow that also still took another 5 minutes. Never ever doing online shopping with them again. read more

Hannaford in Uxbridge has been the convenient go-to grocery store for my family. It's located 2 miles from my home and they carry most of our grocery needs. Prices can be a bit higher than Stop & Shop and Shaw's but Hannafords offers specials and other incentives. The olive bar is nice and decent produce selection. Items lacking are limited ethnic foods. read more

I'm not one to complain about a grocery store, but this morning I went in only needing two items so I figured I'd cash out at the self check out. By accident I swiped one item twice, so I needed to remove that item and at that point the computer says I need assistance so I wait there for a good five minutes with this gentleman that works at Hannaford's walking by me three times not acknowledging that I need assistance, when the computer is shouting assistance needed. At this point I'm getting very irritated. I proceed to a cashier lane because I'm tired of no one coming to help. I cash out at Maureen B's lane and she was very apologetic, but the fact is no one can to help me at all. read more

Great supermarket for vegetarians! Hannaford's got a decent natural/organic/vegetarian freezer section, which is fabulous because without frozen food, I would probably starve to death. Open until ten during the week! YES. read more

Usually everyone is nice and super helpful. Tonight my boyfriend and I went to cash out and we were patiently waiting in line and the girl at the register yelled at us that there was no wait in the line next to us which there was, there were two people she probably couldn't see. My advice is just go to the self check out and save yourself the headache since some of the cashiers get overwhelmed with only two people in line. read more

In general, good grocery store! I've always been met with friendly, helpful people. It's typically pretty clean. I work in Uxbridge, so it's conveniently located to grab a few quick items. My only gripe? I wish they had a better yogurt selection :( read more

Hannaford is usually a good middle of the road supermarket. Their prices can be a bit steep, but nowhere near the scale of Shaw's which is a total rip-off. They have a healthy/organic section that isn't too shabby, although the store itself is small so it's a wonder they even fit that in there. The produce is really, really good. It stays fresh and the organic isn't too ridiculous in price compared to a Whole Foods. The meat is also good quality. I wish they could offer a little more of the grass-fed/natural meats but that is a small complaint. Prices are no worse than Wal-Mart for most items. I don't even like going to Wal-Mart for food unless I am forced to, because their prices are so high for out-of-date goods and produce that goes bad within a day or two of buying it. All in all, it's a nice little market to go to and they always have enough registers open. read more

It's a good store, better than another grocery store out here and definitely better than Walmart for produce etc. I just wish they had more organic and specialty foods, and organic lactose free milk. Other than that they're a good store, and their carrot cake is really good too. If you like that sort of thing... I shop there a lot, and they keep very very cold inside. I read a couple of reviews and stopped because I noticed a trend. If you don't have a mask, get one to wear in a store, period! Even if your post says you are from Worcester and you have hungry children to feed. Hannaford's employees have an obligation to all of their shoppers. read more

I love Hannaford. It is a smaller size grocery store, but their selection is great. I especially love that they have fresh produce and a huge cheese selection (I am a cheese fanatic.) The people who work here are nice, friendly and super helpful. If they dont know where something is they will find someone who does, and they dont leave you hanging. On a Saturday when there is a dozen customers at the deli counter and two SLOW slicers?, waiting 3/4 of an hour is BS!!!!!

I've done My food shopping here for years but with the onslaught of this Covid-19 pandemic I learned that this is now a place to steer clear of at ALL cost! I went in on a Tuesday, which is typically not a busy day at this store. The place was nothing short of sheer pandemonium and chaos! Looked like a regional convention of doomsday survivalists decided to descend all at once on this store, as there were lines snaking down the aisles with everyone and His Great Grandmother towing a carriage full to the brim. People were literally tripping over each other, and the already small store looked like a cracker box stuffed with people! They have this makeshift "roped off" area funneling everyone to the registers, with some kid "directing traffic". TWO registers open with the store packed to capacity?! Absurd! I went in to buy 2 items, milk & coffee, but after surveying the moblike situation quickly abandoned that plan, put the items away, & left empty-handed. If You like crowds and chaos You'll LOVE this place. I hate to even IMAGINE what a zoo this store will be on a Wednesdays, which are "Senior discount days"! The lines will probably be out the door! " Farewell Hannafords, hello Walmart!". At least in Walmart You have some breathing room, and it won't take an hour or more to check out. read more

More than any other grocery store, I will often find rotten, moldy produce mixed in with all other produce. Which makes me feel like they don't properly staff or train that department. The lines are pretty slow, too. They don't stay open late enough. Average little local supermarket. read more

I have always loved this store but recently I've noticed some of the items I have always bought here are no longer being carried. Unfortunately, I now have to go to Shaw's for those items. I also love the idea of the blue bags for cold items but would love it even more if the bags were actually used properly. Usually I get 2 blue bags of cold items and the rest of them are mixed in randomly with all my other groceries which defeats the purpose. Either use them the way they are intended or don't use them at all. On a positiive note the employees are very kind and always very helpful. read more

Some people are saying Shaw's pricing is way above and beyond Hannaford. That would have been a true statement a year ago! I suggest they take a closer look, since the merger with Stop & Shop thier prices have been creeping upward.Shaw's pricing has come down or Hannaford's pricing has gone up, one of those are correct, I think Hannaford has gone up. Shaw's meats have always been lower priced, they are even lower now. Overall I pick Shaw's. read more
