Customer service is lacking and why is there such little staff? I came in expecting a quick purchase considering my uber was departing in 10 minutes. Took 5 minutes for me to get my stuff. Asked the front desk to unlock the chargers for me which I urgently needed, and instead I was told to wait which wouldn't have taken long to do? Not my regular Pharmacy but when my wife had her gall bladder removed, we stopped by to get some post op supplies like dressing and creams. While I have been to this Pharmacy several times to get things like Witch Hazel and Hydrogen Peroxide for projects at work, I had never bought anything like wound dressings of creams. Needless to say, I had no idea where these items would be located withing the store. This CVS is right across the parking lot from the Hospital where the Surgery was performed. Picked her up at the front door and the nursing staff helped her into the car, Drove straight to CVS and parked the car with the A/C running. Went in and rather that my normal hit of miss way of shopping which means I look at everything, I explained what I needed to the clerk at the check out and between her and another employee, I had everything I needed and was checked out and back in the car in less than 5 minutes. Probably did not matter much because the pain med's did not wear off for another 3 hours but we were home in about 20 minutes, and she could rest in the comfort of her own home. Been to this CVS a handful of times for quick pickups and things. Seems to be your typical CVS location with mostly all of the same inventory as other stores. It's located in Gilead Road, in the shopping center with Harris Teeter and other stores/restaurants. There are self-checkout lanes which makes it convenient to get in and out with no wait times. Staff is friendly as well. read more

Visited this location many times and I've had good experiences. I've had vaccine and testing done here with no major issues. I was a little annoyed because I felt I waited longer than normal when I arrived on time for a scheduled appointment, but other than that things went well. The store is generally well stocked, and there's no wait. They have a couple of self checkout machines too, which I usually forget about, but they are there. read more

I prefer Walgreens. CVS has more stuff (and carpets) but there's something dull about it. I can never pinpoint it. It might be the dimmer lighting and more impersonal staff. The staff at CVS is good. I was very disappointed in the service of the pharmacy today. Lots of people running around but no one actually serving customers. I have always had a pleasant experience with the store but this was my first pharmacy encounter and it was awful! After standing in line for 30 minutes to get Sudafed (the lady in front of me said she had been there 45 minutes), I politely asked the first person to come to a register and actually acknowledge the line of people - can I just get the Sudafed and ring it up front? Another woman stepped forward and said only the drive-through register was working and it could not ring up Sudafed - that the three pharmacy registers were down. I asked politely how long she thought it might be and with a snide face and smart-Aleck tone she responded "thanks for your patience" I then left and will go to Walgreens across the street. It was a sorry display of customer service, no apologies, not helpful, and just rude. read more

The pharmacy here is a joke. They all sit in the back and chat and laugh and no one fills any Rx. I have had Rx's called in at 5:00 pm and at 9:30 pm when I show up all they ever say is "15 more mins". The amazing thing is that there is always like 3 ladies back there working on them. If someone stopped them from chatting and goofing off work might get done. This is the worst. Insurance plan forced us here - we changed insurance plans just to avoid this place. read more

We recently had our daughter's antibiotic filled here after visiting the urgent care next door. We will not be back. The employees were rude, and were spending more time complaining about having to work than paying attention to what they were doing. Proof of this came when six days into her 10 day antibiotic we noticed we were running out too fast. Upon closer look at the bottle, they didn't give us enough of her medicine. Her script called for 10ml 2 times a day for 10 days (200ml total), but the bottle is a 160ml bottle. You can have poor customer service and be rude all you want, but customers should have not to worry about their script being incorrect. As a pharmacy, mistakes can be dangerous. Luckily it was just a shortage on dose, but no way I would trust this place again. read more

The people at the front of the house are always kind. It seems like the store manager runs a tight ship and owns the business. The store is usually clean, well stocked and recovered. The parking lot is absolutely disastrous. It is poorly designed, hard to get in and out of, many cars can't follow the traffic pattern making it dangerous, and the asphalt needs graded and repaired. The pharmacy folks are kind enough, but insanely slow. There are times I've waited more than two hours for a script. They need to increase capacity, staffing, or build another store to relieve pressure from the poor pharmacy staff. read more

I had a coupon for vitamins and the clerk was completely unreasonable because of your policy to use the phone number with a coupon. It may expire before I'm able to get back to a store and it's ridiculous that they couldn't apply the 4$ discount without the phone number when I physically had the coupon. Booked a Covid test through the drive through for today at 4pm. Received a confirmation email with confirmation number. I arrive 30minutes early and get in line. After 100minutes in line, I finally arrive to the window. They have no record of me or my appointment in their system. Because it's after hours at this point, they can't add me or provide a test. I took off work, did everything I was supposed too, and ended up wasting an afternoon and leaving empty handed, with no test to show for it. Poorly run operation, with negligence behind the window. Won't use CVS again, especially not this one. The covid testing protocol here is appalling. read more

Today is the second time I've tried to pick up prescriptions from this location. Day one (Friday) they claim they received one of two orders from doctor, doctor resent both, CVS still says only one came. Day two (Monday) finally get CVS to fill both prescriptions. Great. Go to pick up and it's all down hill. One prescription is correct, the second prescription (for me) was somehow filled in my husband's name so they can't release it to me. After waiting to get another mistake fixed, now they say their computer has lost my insurance information and it's defaulting to an out of state address - so they've also lost my current ID they had on file. They've also lost records of my past prescriptions. The only thing the technician or pharmacist had to say was they were just filling in and couldn't tel me anything. Frustrating, to say the least, when I need this medicine. Get it together!! read more

I called in my prescription at 11:00 AM. I then went at around 5:00 PM to pick up thinking they hadn't pushed the text alert to me. (This has happened before) I was then told that it was not ready yet but would be in "about 15 minutes". Slightly annoyed, I opted to wait in my car and keep myself occupied. I waited 45 MINUTES before going up to the window and was told that it was not ready.... and that it would only be "about 15 minutes". Sure it will. I would like to say this is the first time this has happened, but unfortunately it is not. This pharmacy takes forever, AND a day. Just ask my wife who was told to come back "tomorrow" for a shot she had to take at a specific time of day. Great job y'all. read more

As the other reviewers note, this is the worst CVS I've ever seen. It's clean, it's convenient, and the front desk people are fine. But the pharmacy folks are so slow, no matter how many people are in line or how many techs and pharmacists they have behind the counter. Sometimes you get a really nice pharmacist, but I've encountered so many rude ones, too. I keep going because it's open 24 hours and is on my right (and therefore convenient) when I'm coming home from work, but Walgreen's could take my business easily with some good coupons and better hours. read more

So maybe I'm spoiled as I just moved here from Maine but seriously this place needs help. If my insurance would allow me to go elsewhere I would but cvs the only "in network" place close by. Anyway, it's always a total cluster when I have fill an rx. I try to drop rx's off before work and not once has it been totally ready for pick up at the end of the day. So I started calling at lunch to check in and it's always that it's in Que. I also get that they don't have enough quality often (not that they bothered to call and tell me) and it takes 2-3 days to get in. I have never dreaded going to a pharmacy like I do this one. If I am having a bad day I feel like visiting this store and using those 30% coupons they email you (every week) really helps. I visited this store today, granted it was busy with Christmas shoppers, but the store was in extreme disarray- poorly stocked. I can understand that this time of year. What I don't understood is the constant poor customer service, rude staff and failure to fill an Rx by promised times. There is alway - and I mean always, a significant wait for he drive thru windows. Half the time I got served, they didn't have Rx ready as promised. Between my husband and I we have 2 cvs accounts, I had coupons to use for a $39.00 transaction- the rude and completely unhelpful girl at the register said I couldn't use them as they were from different phone numbers. I just decided to leave and shop else where. She said ok , that's fine , whatever!!! I also moved all my refills to another local competitor recently, and I am completely satisfied. I used this CVS location for a few years, only due to the conveniece of the location for me. It seems that every time, whether I go inside or go through the drive thru, I wait and wait and wait. All the while, the employees are chatting and laughing. It almost scares me to think they are preparing my prescriptions as they don't seem to take their job seriously whatsoever. I have been completely ignored standing at the counter. They dont even acknowledge that I am there. I understand that they have things come up and get delayed. However, they are usually just giggling and talking to each other and take 15 minutes to "find" my prescription. Luckily, I dont have to go there anymore but I would not recommend the pharmacy to anyone (unless you enjoy standing in line for 30 minutes). read more

Thee WORST pharmacy I've ever been to. Last week I asked Larissa? To call UNCC health center to transfer my prescription since the holidays their hours are shorter and I wasn't able to make it right after work. She said she will do it and it will be ready. I wait in line for 20 minutes and they have no record of anything and now the health center is closed and can't get my.prescription. so now today? I spike to a Bash to call and transfer my prescription. She said call in 30 minutes to check if it's been processed, I call back asking mind you it takes 20 min for someone to answer the phone and they said it's processing and will be ready by 6. I get here at 6 wait 20 min in line and they said it's still not ready for another 10 minutes. I go back in line for another 20 minutes it's ready but they never ask for my insurance info in the beginning and I gave them my card and now I have to wait another 20 minutes for them to rebill . Mind you I'm upset and tell the lady I'm not going to wait back in line for another 20 minutes and she laughs at me then walks over to the other lady and says something in her ear then she laughs with her. Sat morning i went to drop off prescription, first i went to drive through , waited 10 min so left there parked and walked in and went up to the drop line. There was one person in front of me. in the 10 mins i stood there no one can to help. you can see there is 4 people working there and no other customers. Worst cvs pharmacy I've ever been to, and I've been to a ton. Slow, rude, lazy, and never have medication even close to ready when they say they will. Basically, take your prescription in and plan on going back for it two days later, and then it's slightly possible you will be content with the service. There are pharmacy technicians that just sit around talking, are incredibly abrasive and unprofessional. I'm sure anyone who is unfortunate enough to have to frequent here knows who I'm talking about. One of them even told my husband one time that he needed to go back to his doctor and demand he get more pills per Rx each month because he clearly is taking too many too fast. I'm pretty sure that's not your scope of practice for a pharmacy technician. What was REALLY going on was that we are self-pay customers, so we picked up the prescription in pieces. We would pick up as many as we could when we had the money to put toward it until we collected the entire prescription. So while it appeared to the technician that he was picking up the medication before he needed more, he was actually just trying to collect it as soon as our finances allowed. When you use insurance, you can't just pick them up whenever, but as self pay customers, we can. Tried explaining this to her, you'd think she would understand, as we cannot be the only customers that have done this. But she didn't understand, and instead attempted to give medical advice that was totally unfounded. Those discussions would be between my husband and his physician if he needed to adjust his meds, which he does not. Just all around a complete pain in the ass every time we go. So many times we have dropped the Rx off before work, and come back more than 8 hours later and they look at us like we are crazy like we never dropped anything off. When they quote you a pick up time of 5 hours from drop off, you know they're understaffed. That's the only crappy thing about the pharmacy that isn't actually their fault. Everything else though is directly their fault and I rather wipe my ass with sand paper than ever use this pharmacy again. As it stands I drive way out of my way to go to another cvs just so I can deal with some competent staff. read more

This pharmacy is awful. Expect to be in line for at least 10-15 minutes. I go monthly to pick up prescriptions and there always seems to be new employees. On my recent visit my prescription was missing a significant amount of pills!! This has happened before. This time they refused to fix their mistake because they claimed the signature proved it was counted twice. I called their manager and she told me they would replace the pills. When I came later she was not there. The employees had no idea what I was talking about. They finally called her and she approved. They fixed it but it's very unprofessional and I feel like they think I am lying to get more medicine. I transferred to Walgreens across the street. read more

Today I sprained my ankle on the curb outside of CVS (my own fault not bc the curbs are bad) and a coworker named Trent was more than helpful. As I waited for my mom to get me and take to the Urgent Care across the street, Trent bought me water and bandages and ice packs. He bandaged up my knee and wrapped my ankle and waited with me until my mother arrived. When she got there he helped me into the car and got made sure I was 100% Okay. THANK YOU TRENT!! read more
