Having been in the grocery industry since I was 15 at all levels I am very critical about certain things. Publix does very little wrong! but I had a conversation yesterday with the on duty manager about this store being out of a basic never run out of item 2 weeks ago SUGAR there was not a box or bag in the store. There is a unwritten rule in the business certain things you just never be out of. Those are sugar, bread,eggs,milk and add water to that in today's world. I am just saying you can't let the computer do all your thinking and ordering for you. Publix you can do better than that. The only other thing I can complain about this store is the amount of prebaged produce with damaged or spoiled items. this is normally caused by rough handling while putting on a display. I created this listing even though Publix is already listed. This is the Pharmacy, and it has a different phone number and different hours that the regular Publix Grocery. I know it probably sounds silly like why you don't call the main number and ask to be connected but it does not work out that easily. My wife and I are both on Social Security and every fall we meet with a licensed insurance agent, and we go over which is the best plan for us. Oddly enough, the best pharmacy for her and me are sometimes different due to the mix of drugs. She has several prescriptions for diabetic medicines that are fairly expensive, and I have several for COPD, Last year, while we had the same pharmacy, we had different insurance carriers. Also, part of the total picture is that under Medicare Advantage there are some dental and eye care coverage to consider. Biggest problem and the only reason for four stars is that at least one of my wife's diabetic mediations is generally on backorder I have the same problem with one of my medications for COPD. Not a problem because they are able to transfer the prescriptions to the Wal-Mart Pharmacy which has no problem getting the needed prescriptions. The inconvenience is that now I have to make two stops as opposed to one. I went ahead and changed Insurance Providers because my current one, Blue Advantage went up on the copay and they are no longer the lower cost provider plus the third party they use for Dental Coverage is a nightmare for both me and the health care provider. The Pharmacy is excellent, and the staff is also very good. We got both our Flu and Covid shots several months ago and they caught a potential problem which I had to delay getting the Covid Shot. I had a minor injury in my foot and was on a steroid called Pregnazone. They cautioned that the two in combination had the potential to reduce the effectiveness of both and they recommended holding off on the Covid Shot till I had completed the Pregnazone regime. Which i did. Glad they caught it. Drive through is a dream and I really like the connivence. I like this place and strongly recommend it. read more

As is usual, I had a great shop at Publix. Publix has really upped the grocery store game in town and they show a huge difference in quality and shopping experience over the incumbent grocery stores. This store is bright, well lit, very well stocked, and stuffed with smiling helpful associates. I ordered a bunch of stuff at the deli and was pleasantly assisted. I stopped by the seafood counter and was also pleasantly assisted. When I paid for my groceries (no queues at the registers), the young lady who rang up my sale was smiling and happy. The bagger offered to assist me with bringing my purchase out to the lot. Clean inside, clean outside. No litter in the parking lot. Cart corrals were empty. This was great. Today at 2:15 pm Customer service at self check out is rude and unprofessional dare I said bias against ppl that don't look like her (them) because it's happened a number of times. It's usually an old-older woman. I'm guessing they lack diversity training amongst other things. The products are awesome. Quality is 100% is good. read more

pharmacy can not do a 90 day automatic refill on prescriprions for some reason, so why do they offer that?

For starters... they had the last 4 Halloween bowls left but all of them were already damaged/chips /big ones..so ,I asked for discounts they refused to give me the LAST 4bowls they had and yet they refused to give me discounts,apparently they don't give a shits!! Store is clean, bright and welcoming. The staff are helpful with questions as well as directions on how to sign up online for coupons and promos. Food is fresh and plentiful. I have been a Harris Teeter shopper, but I will be changing to Publix in Denver, NC. Bigger store, more options, and friendlier staff. read more

For the most part this is a great store. Catering orders, and specifically the deli, are becoming a major problem. This is now the third straight order where I'm left waiting 30 minutes+ past pick up time because they can't get their act together. Why even bother ordering ahead of they're incapable of getting it done by that time? Now I'm going to have the joy of rushing home before a huge super bowl party and getting all this set up before the guests arrive. Something needs to be done here. Ordered food from the deli Friday night 8/5/22. When I arrived, the woman that waited on me seemed confused as to where my order was until a guy working with her told her it was in the warmer. As she was getting my order together, the guy told me they were out of the Hatch chili mac and cheese I had ordered. Really? You could not have texted me and told me that so I could have chosen another side?? Then the woman tried to send me on my way without my slaw. I told her I was missing the slaw and she looks at the ticket again and says "Oh" and goes and gets my slaw. At check out, they were going to charge me for the six cups of barbeque sauce that was given to me in the deli. I told her I thought it was included with the two pounds of barbeque I had ordered and if there was a charge just to keep it. She sends the bagger to customer service to ask and he comes back and says it is included. For a company that prides themselves on customer service, my experiences here have found customer service to be greatly lacking at this store, especially in the pharmacy. My daughter just switched all of her prescriptions to another pharmacy because of the hard time they give her every single time she had a prescription filled for herself or her husband. The only reason I still have my prescription filled at this pharmacy is they are the cheapest, but they have an older, dark haired pharmacy tech that wears glasses that is rude and she is in bad need of customer service training. She has been here for a while, so I guess the pharmacy manager doesn't care if she's rude to customers. I don't know if it's just the store here in Denver or what but this Publix really needs to step up its customer service game. read more

I am grateful that I have Publix in this State. I don't know why I have to drive over 30 minutes to get to one. I used to have it 5 minutes away or worse case scenario 20 minutes :( Besides that; this Publix is pretty much as what I am accustomed: The great service, the fresh food, and I love that they have a sitting area, my family and I can buy the "pub-sub" and enjoy it right here! There's wifi, clean restrooms, open and clean aisles, an amazing selection of food from different parts of the world. I would like to say kudos to Dylan for making our subs in a welcoming manner. Transfered my prescriptions to these people and had to wait 2 days to get meds. They lost the first transfer ( with technology, How?) Then they had me call the pharmacy and get them to transfer again, only the pharmacist can do that. Then when I call for refills, they are very rude. Looks like I will be transferring again. read more

1 star is generous. I waited while 2 employees made sandwiches for another customer. They decided to take their time and did not acknowledge me. Between the constant stares and terrible customer service, this location will never have my business again. read more

This Publix location is impressive. Surprisingly, they have a pretty good selection of Vegan and Organic foods here! This location is always clean, and the employees are well dressed and clean-cut. Kudos to whoever is managing these employees. Would recommend this store. read more

I LOVE the customer service I received from the Publix in Denver, NC. I was visiting my family for the holidays and I ran out of piping bags while baking macarons. My sister went to Publix to pick up more bags but she said she couldn't find any so she ended up asking a team member and they told her they were out of them but would be happy to loan her a few of the ones they have in their bakery. PHARMACY: I was scheduled a flu shot for today. First I came by Friday as I was shopping, thought I could save a trip so I tried 'walk-in' and they seemed frustrated that I even asked. Was told to come back Sunday at my scheduled time (NOPE #1). So today I showed up, five minutes early. The pharmacist helping me was not very kind. She said my insurance didn't cover flu shot, without even checking the card (NOPE #2). She just looked at it from three feet away. She said I should have a separate card for RX to use, which I do not, and never have in two years. When I insisted that it did work with this card at other places in the past she checked a piece of paper and ran seemed to run the card again saying (NOPE #3). So I called my insurance company (Blue Cross Blue Shield) and it does cover flu shot. It just needs to be claimed as medical, not RX by the pharmacy. When asked again she said she did run claim as medical (NOPE #4). Finally she told me to go to take my business to CVS or Walgreens. And the reason it my insurance didn't work is that it's a "big insurance company" and Publix was just a "small company". Needless to say it was not a great experience and waste of my time. read more

Publix is the absolute best!! The only store I shop at for my groceries. They always have a quality meat selection, the fruit and veggies are always fresh, and the deli has the BEST subs! My favorite sub is the chicken tender sub! The store and bathrooms are always clean. The greatest part about the store is the customer service! My kids love going to Publix because of the cookies and I love it because everyone is so friendly and helpful. Definitely check this place out if you haven't! read more
