I stopped to pick up a prescription. I was the only person in line. the four people behind the counter each looked at me numerous times, saw me and ignored me. I left the store, called the complaint line, filed a formal complaint. And not response. When I called corporate for a follow up the call center said CVS has a policy that they do not talk to customer or respond to complaints. I have moved my prescriptions to another pharmacy. Agree, always have issues with this pharmacy. Incorrectly billing insurance, rude pharmacists, not filling scripts correctly. I have had to have my scripts sent to other pharmacies time and time again. Looking to change pharmacies. Convenient location no longer matters to me when everything else is lacking. read more

I came in with a valid telehealth prescription, as I've done many times before, and was told it wouldn't be filled because "the DEA recommends stopping telehealth prescriptions." Unfortunately, Monica didn't seem to be up to date on the actual policy. As of April 2025, the DEA and HHS have officially extended the COVID-era telemedicine flexibilities through December 31, 2025. This means DEA-registered providers can legally prescribe Schedule II-V medications via telehealth without an in-person visit (under the right conditions, which mine met). I used to go in person every time, so I'm not trying to cut corners. I'm just asking for fair treatment and for pharmacists to stay informed--especially when people's health and well-being are on the line. We'll be taking our prescriptions elsewhere. Be careful--your access to necessary medication shouldn't come down to whether the person behind the counter has read the latest DEA memo. read more

The first 2 times I had to get life saving prescriptions filled.... there's a problem. Now for the second time within a week, I have to contact the doctor to make sure this particular CVS fills my prescriptions. I'm starting to think they don't like me for whatever reason.. read more

Took 3 attempts for me to try to pick up my prescription. The first attempt was 20-25 minutes after I left the doctors office, pharmacy was closed due to their lunch. Second time nobody was available at drive through. Third time, they closed an hour earlier and shut the window on me!! Terrible experience, would never recommend anybody to pickup their prescriptions here. I drove back to where I had my appointment and demanded to have a pickup somewhere else because I wouldn't have been able to pickup it up with the limited days that I'm available. read more

I'm updating this review. The pharmacists there are pretty awesome. The pharmacist I had problems with left the business. I never had such a bad experience with a pharmacist like this before. But I'm giving it five stars now because the pharmacists that are there right now seem great. read more

This place is being run into the ground. Unless you're a regular that they like, you are an annoyance, there's no time for you. Outdated medications on the shelves. Actual good and nice employees...they are gotten rid of. No room for any of that at this location. Worthless read more

I have dealt with this location twice since my initial check in. On both occasions I have great service. Recently I had fallen ill and visited a nearby clinic. This location is literally a stone's throw away and a preferred pharmacy for me. After leaving the clinic I made my way over here to have my prescriptions filled. Both times I was given an estimated amount of time that it would take to fill the prescriptions. Enough time to putz around in the store or sit and wait in the small waiting area. That's the thing about filling a prescription, either you have time to do something or you don't. I get bored quickly if I have to wait, so I end up browsing through the store. I almost always end up finding something that I needed and that item being on sale. So that is a good way to kill time for me. Browse, purchase, take out to my car, come back in and by that time my prescriptions are ready to be picked up. Each time when I pick up the prescriptions I am asked if I have any questions about the medication and they make sure I know what I am getting. I just wish that they would keep my information up to date and I don't have to update it every single time I come to one of their pharmacies. read more

If I could give it 0 stars I would. We have had nothing but problems since going to CVS on Scalp Avenue in Johnstown Pa. My husband is diabetic and on insulin. I called in Wed (I could escape Alcatraz easier than getting someone on the phone) the man I talked to said no problem we need to order his insulin but it will be there Thurs. I went in thurs and they have 2 different accounts for my husband (why?) They have no orders for my insulin, I have to call friday to talk to the guy I talked to on wed to get answers. called fri, guy says no problem we got it straightened out we have to order the insulin (again?) it will be here monday. I logged online to order his pods and they cancelled the pods (again why?). I called monday and again they have no orders for insulin for him. they were never submitted. the girl i talked to said ok i got it straightened out let me see if i have the insulin (that they supposedly ordered twice) ok she said she has it good to go she will get it ready. called back less than a minute later saying gosh im so sorry i dont have it. We are now going to walmart. thanks for being the crappiest pharmacy ever. read more

If you have asthma, allergies, or any other breathing difficulties, avoid CVS pharmacy on Scalp Ave. in Johnstown PA. Also avoid it if you like prescriptions to be filled close to the time you are told. I was there today as one is the technicians took her cigarette break right along the front of the building where customers park and walk. When she was asked to move, after seeing I have to wear a mask because of breathing issues, she moved, one parking space over & closer to the entrance and handicapped parking spots. It was brought to the attention of the manager who said the employees are allowed to smoke anywhere. He said it is a corporate decision. My issue isn't that someone is smoking. It's that someone is smoking where I and others with breathing issues have to walk in order to get our medication. I will not be back to this store or any CVS store since this is company policy. All is that is enough to make me never go back. The customer service was also awful. I was told my prescription would be ready in an hour. When I came back, over an hour later, I was told it would be at least another 45 minutes. I understand things can happen, but this was crazy. read more

Terrible customer service. We are never able to pick up a prescription without a fight. We've been wating a week for them to refill my daughter's inhaler. I've called every day and sat on hold. No-one ever answers. Sadly our insurance won't allow us to go anywhere else. If you have a choice, don't go here! read more

I am so disappointed in the pharmacy of this store. You are not greeted with a smile, but made to feel like a nuisance for bothering the staff. We have had numerous issues such as being ignored when we tried to get a flu shots, lied to by a pharmacy tech and the partner pharmacist, and having to make multiple trips within the same day for prescriptions. I spoke with the pharmacist in charge, however, the situation with the staff has not changed. I called 1-800-shop-CVS and asked for the district manager to call me. I was told it would take 1-2 business days to receive a call back. It has been 2 weeks and no phone call. This shows that the problems run deeper than just this pharmacy. The lack of customer service is disheartening. The front store staff is very polite and helpful. It may be a good idea to train and place some of these employees in the pharmacy. read more

Gave me a medicine that is a substitute to what I normally take without telling me and of course at a higher price, I realize this as soon as a get it out of the bag and try to return it, they tell me they can no longer get my usual med, I call 3 Walmart's they all have it, CVS refuses to take the med back and refund my money, STAY AWAY FROM THESE HUSTLERS!! read more
