I've called for 3 months trying to get a job here because it's directly across the street from my house. employees are always saying the hiring manager is on vacation and won't be back until the following wee. after getting ahold of him 4 times his only response is "what's your availability and I'll pull your application and call you" and never calls. this store sucks because they are unorganized and don't want to hire good people. I'm very good at what I do and take all my jobs very seriously, I cared about trying to get this job because it's close to my house so I'm always available to work read more

Photo camera machine never working and the pharmacy never picks up the phone. Absolutely the worst location ever. It's beyond stressful to hold on the phone for over 30 minutes and get hung up on or never even answered. read more

This location opened not long ago, within the past year. It's clean, well designed and laid out and pretty much has everything I've been looking for in stock. Add to that it's recently started being open 24-hours and it's a very short drive from my house and it's become my favorite drug store. CVS also has a small selection of semi-perishable food items, so it's a good place to make an emergency run when I'm cooking dinner and realize I forgot to get a side when I was at the grocery. It may not be as cheap as the grocery but that small premium is good for the convenience. That and they have Cherry Coke Zero, which my friendly neighborhood convenience store does not. read more

I was in Metairie for a few weeks this past spring. I had a Schedule ll prescription to fill from my doctor at home. It had been filled many times at our local CVS. This pharmacy refused to honor it, which didn't create a critical situation for me as I probably had enough to make due until I got home. It was irritating, however, because they could have easily called our local CVS or looked us up on their own website. They also could have called the prescribing doctor to verify. Obviously, they are too lazy. To make matters even worse, they wouldn't just come right out and SAY they wouldn't fill it. Instead, they lied and kept telling me they were out and to come back in a few days. Over and over again. I made 4-5 wasted trips. The last time I went, I got the same old story from the pharmacist about how they didn't know when their shipments come in or what they would get. The script was for a common drug that would be stocked at any pharmacy. This woman pharmacist made it sound like their delivery and inventory were something mysterious and unknowable like when and where an earthquake will happen. I finally said: "Look, if you're refusing to fill it, just say so and quit wasting my time." She simply refused to admit it. The poor service and lack of professionalism and honesty on the part of this CVS staff was very disappointing. We have been filling our prescriptions at our local CVS for years, and the employees have always been professional and courteous. read more

I've been here on many occasions and it's the same old story. I've even called corporate on them and nothing has changed. You go there, and you got to check yourself out when they're doing absolutely nothing. One worker was walking down the aisle eating chips. The other worker was just standing there watching customers check themselves out when she can check other people out behind the register. That's what they are getting paid for! But, they are getting paid to do nothing. Nothing but watch customers check themselves out. I also called the manager and complained and told her why do we have to check ourselves out and she told me that I could just ask the worker to check me out. I shouldn't have to ask. What are they there for? Other than watching people do their job?! Went to pharmacy to get a cream for my foot and needed consultation on it. When I asked if she can check me out, the pharmacy person told me I had to go up front. There was no one else in line there was no other customers. Why couldn't she have checked me out there? Then after all that, she tells me I have to wait for the pharmacist because I had a question about the medication. Unbelievable! This place is a joke, they don't care about their customers at all and they are lazy! read more

I think this is the worst CVS. It's never stocked or clean. Today I saw and hear a pharmacy technician get into it with a customer in the parking lot. The customer called inside to speak with the manager; however the pharmacist on duty took the call and made fun of the customer while laughing it off with the tech. There is always a long line up front. Also the frozen food selection is very lacking. Not you typical CVS. Has a long way to go.

We went to the minute clinic at this location today because my husband was not feeling very good. Dr. Michelle was great, she was very professional and helpful. She gave us good advice of what we needed to do about my husband's sickness. Then she called us later to check how he was doing :) we will definitely go there for minor illness. read more

I noticed that there hasn't been a review posted for this CVS in quite some time. It's time for an update. The only thing this pharmacy has going for it is location. The pharmacy department is pretty bad. It's actually scary how many times they have made mistakes while filling my prescriptions. They have, on two occasions put two different pills in the same bottle. The first time when I brought it to their attention, it took two days before they identified what the other pill was!! (Luckily, it ended up being a generic form.) They very often don't have what you need, tell you your prescription is ready when it's not, or just fail to fill it even though it's on auto-refill. I know I am not the only person that walks away disappointed, because I have witnessed others leaving without the merchandise they came in for. read more

Update on the 1 star. A year later, still 1 star. The pharmacist cannot count meds. She dispensed a controlled substance miscounted, leaving us with only 30 of the 60. That was last year. After moving to cvs in target, all problems ceased. I went today to buy some Sudafed, I asked for 12 hour and they gave me the wrong kind... I go back before leaving the parking lot. My response from this VERY rude woman is "you should have looked at the package before you bought it". Ok, so it can't be returned, got it, but that's not the way you respond. She should have been terminated after miscounting the meds, but nope, still being a B to customers. The poor woman in front of me was picking up meds and she yelled "so this is your birth control?!". You should not be yelling out their meds. The poor girl was mortified. There are privacy laws she doesn't care to take into account. Ms. Aries should really find another career, cause she sucks at being a pharmacist. read more

Three times CVS has had an excuse not to fill a valid prescription. At the first CVS, I was told they could not fill out of state prescriptions, which I found surprising. I was intensely questioned about my hometown and why I was in Louisiana. I was then told again I could not fill the prescription. The second time, I was first told the prescription was out of stock and would be in stock next week. After returning weeks later, I was told by the pharmacy technician that they could not fill out of state prescriptions. The pharmacist on staff quickly coached him to say that they were out of stock, which he then repeated to me. I asked how long they would be out of stock, and they replied two additional weeks, when the prescription expires. I indicated that if there is a problem with the validity of the information, it should be addressed to the physician on the prescription, whose DEA number and phone number were written clearly on the top. The technician then hung up the drive through phone and walked away. After pressing the call button again, he eventually came back where I requested his name and his pharmacists name, he began laughing and wrote their names. I am an ER veterinarian that moved from North Alabama 1 month ago. I have not yet established a new doctor patient relationship with a psychiatrist in town. Refusing medications to a patient is a direct violation of doctors orders and is practicing medicine without a license. It is also a violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act. read more
