Can't get anyone on the phone no matter how you respond to the phone automated screening system

We are fortunate to have a fabulous prescription plan, Express Scripts, through the State of Maryland. That being said, we are limited to those pharmacies in the Caremark network. Though Express Scripts is offered at many store pharmacies and large chain pharmacies, we found the lowest pricing at CVS. With a store less than 1/2 mile away, we transferred our prescriptions from Publix to the Ben Sawyer location. This is a high energy operation with a pharmacy that's always busy. I've always found the pharmacists friendly and helpful. The support staff, efficient. It doesn't hurt that the pharmacy has a drive-up window. To be honest, I'd throw out the long receipts and avoided the entire retail portion of the store as I noticed that just about everything was marked up at least 35-40% over the cost of the same item in Walmart, Publix and Harris Teeter. Well, that all changed when I obtained an EasyCare Rewards account, downloaded the CVS application and started renewing our meds on line. I started paying attention to the deals and rewards which I would load to my EasyCare card/account. Before long, I was getting digital coupons for 40% off, $5.00 off, etc. Now, I check the deals every week. I'm amazed at what I've saved over the past two years. Even if you don't use CVS for your prescriptions, get an EasyCare card/account and start saving on your favorite products. You'll love it! read more

It's showing that they are in business. HIPAA violations every time I visit to include yelling out for my date of birth, medication I take, full name, conversing with me with at times 20 feet between myself and the employee. One employee repeated the phrase , " Well, that's a controlled substance so you need to call your provider," as though I didn't hear her displaying passive aggressive communication style in combination with a total disregard to ethics and privacy. Unhelpful and rude staff. Most customers picking up a prescription are sick and could use some informative help or patience from their pharmacist. I had questions about my prescriptions and was met with distain, eye rolling and now no info on what I picked up. I mentioned to the supervisor that they had a bad attitude and he walked away with no response. I will never send prescriptions here again. They often do not have your prescriptions. This week I went to pick up 130 pills but they only had 95. My doctor must write a new prescription. I tried to pay for 2 items at the prescription counter that were bandaid and nose spray I was sent to front of store because they didn't check out in the prescription counter where no customers. Lady behind me was told same. I told manager and he said she was wrong in doing so. read more

HORRIBLE pharmacy! My doc called in an antibiotic RX at 1pm after my root canal. I had a knee replacement and am at high risk for infection, so I attempted to wait at the pharmacy at 1:30PM. I was told it might be an hour+ and they would text me. I drove home and got no text, so I called back at 5pm explaining the urgency. I was assured it would be filled that day, and they would text me. They closed at 6pm. NO text, no RX! I called the next day, now THREE doses behind on my urgent, post-surgery antibiotic. The woman casually said, "yes, it's ready." Pathetic joke of a pharmacy. Go elsewhere. read more

Went on my lunch break 15 minutes before their lunch break and had to change some insurance information which the pharmacist didn't look happy about. She stated it would be a few minutes, came back at 1:30 (their lunch time) and said their computers were shutting down (conveniently) and I had to come back after lunch. Biggest inconvenience and I needed my medication before the end of the day (when I get off and will be able to go back.) I'll never fill another prescription there! read more

Read that as a Negative Star. They deserve less! Called to have a script canceled because I am out of State and need it. They put it on hold instead, won't answer the customer line, chastised me for calling their system f*ed up and then hung up after saying the script was put back on the shelf. That helps me 0!!!! The condescending pharmacist refused to help me because I was put thru on a Dr line, not a menial, ignored voicemail line for 3 days. His attitude has reinforced my 30year dislike of CVS. I will go back to Walgreens and pay the higher copay enforced by my Med insurance. We ran in to grab a few things and went through the self check out but the system was giving me trouble so I asked the guy working there for help. "Shaun" was very irritated that I needed assistance and made a very loud sigh as well as rolling his eyes at me. When he started to speak he was very curt, accusatory, and rude. The system still wouldn't work so I suggested that maybe he check me out at a register. Of course that further upset him to the degree of him once again getting an attitude with me and shaking his head in annoyance. I've seen horrible treatment towards elderly customers here. Previously, an elderly woman wanted her 2nd Covid shot but had forgotten or misplaced her card- the pharmacist WOULD NOT help her. No solutions, suggestions nothing. Today an older gentleman accidentally picked "no" as to whether he wanted a receipt for his prescription. He then realized he needed it since his pharmacy card (FSA) didn't work. The pharmacy told him to go to the front register where a woman told him it would be "too hard" to go through the receipts. What??? Another man and I in self-checkout (of course) were horrified. I'm moving all of my prescriptions from here. We are all overworked but to treat people like this is just shameful. read more

I would give it NO stars if possible!! They "pretend" they are having work done on the floors just to put a sign up in the drive through window so they don't have to wait on you via car. I called and sat on hold for 30 minutes. I even have the screenshot to prove it! The pharmacist told me (2:30 pm) she'd have ALL of my prescriptions ready by 5pm. I got there at 7:30 and 2 of my meds were not filled, AND out of stock...which I was NOT told in advance when I could have done something about it!! By then it was too late for me to contact my doctors office for a whole new prescription!! They are rude and inept. Worst "pharmacy" around....and don't let the "pretty" corporate pics fool you. This review is long overdue! A while back, I was visiting my parents and had forgotten a prescription at home. I called this pharmacy and they helped me sort it out so that I could transfer the prescription to them temporarily. I appreciated their responsiveness, and they had the prescription ready the same day I called. Thank you so much! I think this CVS is the closest to my parents' house, so I'm glad I didn't have to drive any further. I will come back here in the future if I need more pharmacy help while I'm visiting my parents. read more

The absolute worst pharmacy I've ever experienced in my life just got a screaming match on the phone with the pharmacist cause she was so nasty and rude to me. I was told my prescription will be ready in two hours yesterday. Never got a call or text. I got a text today saying that a prior authorization was still needed so I called to ask about it. The pharmacist was incredibly rude and said call back in two hours and I said no please explain to me what's going on and she said I told you that prescription was on back order and then I said why did someone tell me it would be ready in two hours yesterday and she snapped at me and said that's why I said to call at 2:00 cause we will know if it came it. Still makes no sense why I got a text saying they were waiting on prior authorization? And why did someone say it would be ready if they didn't even have it in stock? All questions I tried to ask but couldn't cause she talked over me the whole time. Name was "tade" (not sure about spelling). Other one was Mikaela who wouldn't give me the time of day when I first called and tried to explain to her I didn't need prior authorization. She didn't even have my account up or try to look further into it. This is not my first bad experience. They are ALWAYS nasty and have such an attitude. One time when I mentioned that I got a text that my prescription is ready, I was yelled at because I was supposed to know that I shouldn't listen to the texts because they're usually wrong. Awful, awful. Avoid at all costs! The one exception is for the main pharmacist who is if she is still there is amazing and so chill. EVERYONE ELSE PLEASE FIND A PROFESSION THAT DOESN'T INVOLVE DEALING WITH CUSTOMERS! read more

This is the nearest cvs to our house. We have BCBS and they contract with CVS for prescriptions. With that said, the pharmacy culture at this cvs is most definitely NOT customer service oriented. I dread having to go there because the staff is so unhelpful and the wait is so long. read more

I am a loyal CVS customer. This particular store has the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced - anywhere, not just at CVS or other drug stores. This is based on several experiences - will never go back. Staff will not put in the effort to do their job their job. My dermatologist prescribed me something that (to be affordable) required CVS pharmacists to make a few phone calls to the company and to my insurance. Instead of just doing their job they kept handing me my prescription and the rest of my papers/info/coupon/whatever back and telling me these things had to be done (I didn't realize what they meant was that they needed to do it but, I suppose, didn't feel like doing it). I finally called my dermatologist's office because I couldn't figure out what I was supposed to do. He explained that I had to stand and watch the pharmacist call the companies if I was having these problems. Wow! Do your job or cvs should find somebody else to! There are a lot of pharmacists out there! Quit being awful before they steal your jobs! Never going back to this pharmacy. ***specifically complaining about a short haired brunette pharmacist with glasses. I've had several good experiences with the woman who calls everyone "honey" or some endearing name like that. The brunette needs to be spoken to by a manager. Horrible experience. Waited over 1/2 hour for a flu shot with only 3 other customers. When I asked about it, they said it was someone else's fault. I went to the Publix next door and got served right away. CVS needs help, but they've lost one more customer. read more

This is the most inefficient pharmacy I have ever seen. They chose to train new employees during one of the busiest times of the day. They asked me to call in with our insurance information, then proceeded to tell me they won't accept the info over the phone. After standing in line for the new trainees to finish giggling, I was directed to another RUDE employee who told m not to interrupt her when I corrected her about who the meds were for. Soooooo, my 86 year old mother and went to CVS on Ben Swayer in Mt Pleasant today. Me for my prescriptions, my mom for a flu vaccination. We were the first ones there. Waiting waiting waiting!!! Finally someone starts to help my mom. Me... waiting waiting waiting. Finally get helped, girl doesn't know what she's doing has me go over to another line to have someone else check on my meds. Waiting waiting waiting... simple question asked and answered, then I get sent back to the line I started in. Waiting waiting waiting.. mind you, I'm the only one in the line. 30 minutes later, I get rung up. Woohoo. You thinking we would be leaving. Not!!! Mom is still waiting waiting waiting for her flu shot. A young blond woman came in! Yup, you guessed it.
