The amount of drugstores in New Orleans baffles me. I swear there are multiple locations of rivals everywhere you look. But, hey, you must be doing something right if you can keep multiple locations open. This location was steadily busy. There was a constant flow of customers coming and going. Unlike some of the ones on Canal, this store was better stocked and had every item I was looking for on this stop. I needed to re-up my water supply for my room and I knew I could find it here. Of course I went through the snack aisle to make sure there wasn't something else that I needed. Get to the front and it is an easy breeze to get out of the store as there are self checkouts. Do your thing there and you are on your way to the next stop. read more

Walking around downtown New Orleans, my boyfriend and I were on the hunt for some hand sanitizer and for a Monster Energy drink for him. We ended up stopping into quite possibly the smallest CVS Pharmacy that either of us had ever been into before. The lady attendant was friendly and nice, and helped us find what we were looking for. I also got a really cute New Orleans magnet for a reasonable price there. The store appeared clean. Service was exceptional. read more

This CVS is conveniently located in the French Quarter. There are plenty of stores along Decatur. I went in this pharmacy to see whether a product recommended by my dental hygienist was available here. It was! So, I bought it. I browsed around. I recall the carpeted floor, which was different. There was also some sort of Lay's potato chip flavour contest. I saw cappuccino chips. I'm so glad that this flavour didn't win. It just didn't sound right or even yummy to me. The CVS on Decatur in New Orleans is in the bottom feeder class of tourist-catering businesses. There is one sales associate who is too busy trying to restock to help, even if she were the helpful type. If you find an item to buy and walk to the registers, she takes your purchases and puts them on the self-service checkout so you can conduct your transaction without using her no-doubt far more valuable time. Her attitude matches her helpfulness. All the charm of a Walmart self-service with even less assistance. Avoid this place. read more

I dove in here in search of a bottle of wine and they did not disappoint. Since I'm going on a Carnival Cruise tomorrow, I can take 1 bottle of wine or champagne and I had to buy it. The clerk at this store was very unprofessional. When I went to check out at the register where she was, she immediately pointed to the self check out and said to go there. When we needed assistance at self check out, she called me and my friends a 'fucking bitch' I have never in my life experienced this type of rude behavior in my 56 years of life. Don't go here. I wish I could give negative stars so one will have to do. Literally the worst location I've ever been in. EVER! I travel the world for business mind you and there's never been a worse location. Rude. Absolutely no greeting. Line was short and Diamond and Dra still found time to complain. Actually Dra sat down on her phone while we waited. Diamond muttered something I assume was can I help you? Dra kept telling ppl just to go to the automated one and made an ordeal if you were just paying with cc and had to (gasp) have her do (double gasp) her actual JOB!! When I bought my items I asked for a bag. I might as well asked for her to install my ac at my house the way she acted. Literally shoved a bag OVER my stuff making me have to scoop it up and put it all in. I'll never be back and I'll be in touch with corporate. read more

I was insulted by one of the workers. My daughter and friends were buying food and I waited for them. They were making jokes and under his breath (or so he thought) he insulted me. Being from NYC, I confronted him. Of course he denied. I told the manager on duty who seemed receptive and when we left we saw her speaking with him. The other workers I found to be only mildly cordial. Is it the heat, the noise? This isn't the first unpleasant experience I've had in these type of stores in New Orleans. Very disconcerting. Be careful with this CVS when buying food! There were mouse droppings all over the bottom shelf where they sell the potato chips!! I was very disappointed to see this in such a big name store. It is very unhealthy as mice carry lots of disease. You could tell the shelves had not been cleaned in a while. It was not just one or two mouse droppings, but piles of droppings! Absolutely disgusting! I understand that mice are a problem that is difficult to get rid of especially in this area, but there is ABSOLUTELY NO reason for piles of mouse crap to be on the shelves!! read more

I was at CVS about a week and half ago making my Christmas cards at the Kodak kiosk. While I was there I had trouble working the setting on my iPhone, the kiosk, wifi code. Since I had arrived first thing in the morning luckly the store wasn't to busy. With all my frustration, last minute gift ideas and rushing to work look on my face an employee by the name of Ashley came up to me and greeted me with a smile and told me to relax and even help me pick the pictures she felt I looked most handsome in for my Christmas card, when we were done she also walked me around the store and took me to get every item I needed since I'm unfamiliar with the store. And even doe I had to get to work decided to make a New Year's Eve card as well. I'm not writing this review cuz CVS is the best store or anything but because I was all over the place that morning and Ashley just made my crazy morning a bit less crazy and she great with dealing with crazy customers like me. Cashier didn't keep her attention on me and actually had me leave counter before my transaction finished processing in order to help someone else.
