My experience at the minute clinic was awful. I just needed a tb test and figured it'd be faster to do this than go to the doctor. Turns out I'm wrong. Getting my tb test, I signed in online and drove over, arriving just before my spot in line. Waited 20 min or so and got it done just fine. Came back to get it read. Signed in online and saw it was a 54 min wait. Held my spot in line, finished some stuff at work, went to get gas and arrived about 15-20 min before my expected time. Sat for another hour and then when the next appt came up, even though I had been listed as next in line for the past hour, they took the person behind me because they were in the other computer before me. I'm assuming because that one doesn't register the online place hold. Now it's too late to go to another clinic and I'm stuck waiting another 30 min for my turn. read more

This CVS had the worst photo service ever. We dropped off ten rolls of film from our wedding on a Saturday. We had to repeat several times the size we wanted, but never once did the counter person tell us that if we picked that size, we would not see our pictures for a week. He told us we could pick the pictures up the next day. The next day, we were told that the pictures would not even be sent to be developed until Monday, and would not be ready until Wednesday. On Wednesday, we were told only two of the ten rolls were back yet. On Sunday, only nine of the ten rolls were back. We did not get all of our photos until that Monday, nine days and three trips after we had originally dropped them off. Even when we called to talk to managers, no one called us back. I transferred a prescription from CVS pharmacy to Osco in River Forest thinking I would save money. It was filled at Osco with a different generic medication that, when I looked into it, I read bad reviews on. The Osco pharmacist told me "it was fine" and they couldn't do anything about it. I transferred the prescription back to CVS on Madison in Oak Park. Pharmacist Anna was wonderful and got the prescription filled as an emergency - total cost $5! Thank you Anna! read more

I recently went into this CVS location after an appointment in Oak Park. Immediately as I enter I am greeted by a kind young woman. In all of my previous experiences in any type of convenient/drug store I have never been greeted by a "hello". There was also someone in front and someone behind me which she also greeted with such a genuine welcome that I have never heard before. I walked around the store and grabbed a few items but couldn't find something in particular so I decided it was time to checkout with what I had. She immediately asked if I found everything ok with which my response was I actually didn't find one of the items I was originally looking for. I didn't want to make it a big deal but she insisted we go look for it and find it. We went back to look for it and eventually did find the item. I know this should be a routine for all employees that work here but I haven't experienced customer service like that in a long time and I really needed to share how wonderful Ashanti was at the Madison and Ridgeland CVS. This CVS is going down hill!! The staff changes every other day. I cannot say that I blame them, after witnessing the people skills of the store manager. The Pharmacy is always a nightmare. It takes forever to get checked out and don't even think about quick service using the drive-thru!! read more

This is one of the most unhelpful and uncaring pharmacies I have even been to. Not only will I not use this CVS location again, but I will go out of my way to avoid all CVS locations after my experience here. read more

I have been a customer of this CVS for years, and recently, it has been such a displeasure to shop here that I plan to become a customer of another pharmacy. The lines to pick up at the pharmacy are always very long (drive thru and in store.) My past 2 experiences with pharmacy pick ups were very frustrating. I recently had to visit the store 3 times to pick up a single prescription. Each time, the pharmacist told me the item would be ready soon or said they left a message on my phone that the item would not be ready until the next day, but I never received a message, and I receive automated messages from them on a daily basis, so I know they know my phone number. Secondly, on the last 2 occasions, I have been told that my prescriptions will cost several hundred dollars. I then realize that they have not been applying my insurance (which has been the same for years and is in their system.) They then take another 20-30 minutes to put the insurance information in and come up with the $7 copay. I'm not sure why this is an issue EVERY time, but at this point it drives me crazy that I have to allot an extra 20-30 minutes for every pick up. Lastly, I often receive medication (such as epi-pens for my child,) that need to last at least a year (for school etc.) with an expiration date of under a year. Quality control is not great. While the people who work there seem nice, the CVS training in customer service is so lacking that I am going to another chain even though it is farther away from my home. read more
