I shop at CVS often due to their amazing coupons! I came across this location on accident from making a wrong turn. This is by far one of the most fully stocked and well put together CVS's I've been too! Literally every thing I wanted and needed and then some was here! CVS Pharmacy - As of 8/23/2020. - Drugstores Near Me - Olathe, Kansas

I went to get a prescription filled using good rx as I have done at other cvs locations and was informed that they don't accept that at this location with bogus reasoning. Unfortunately supply on my medication has been low so this means I'll have to call around again to find which other pharmacies have supply and then call my doctor to have them resend the prescription to the new pharmacy taking tons more personal time and effort. I'll make sure to avoid this location in the future. read more

I've had bad experiences with this pharmacy every visit. The most recent was a pharm tech on the phone told me she couldn't release my prescription early because my insurance wouldn't allow it. I knew this wasn't correct so kept asking questions and it quickly became apparent she didn't want to fill the prescription but the reason didn't seem to be connected to the reasons she was telling me. She started to have a smirky tone to her voice and refused to fill the prescription until I called my insurance company. I told her to fill it and I would call the insurance company to see what the issue was and if I needed to pay I would pay with cash. Explaining I needed to fill the prescription as I was getting ready to go out of town which is why my dr send order at this time. She became upset and hung up on me. I called back to speak to the manager and discovered I was indeed correct the insurance had nothing to do with it and they just needed to confirm some information. The manager was very apologetic and was able to help me get everything sorted out. One unprofessional employee almost caused me to have to waste my time contacting my provider and insurance company just because she wanted to save from filling one perception. Or worse I could of had to go out of town without a prescription. Even if your short handed this isn't how you handle situations. I gave 2 stars because the manager did try and fix the situation. read more

I am surprised this place has not been reviewed. I guess there is not too much to say, it's a drug store. This is a very clean, friendly customer service location. I have come here several times and I have never had an issue. In fact I forgot my little cvs card and they still gave me a discount. I absolutely love the minute clinic. They have saved me a couple of times now from having to call the snooty doctor's office to schedule an appointment 2 weeks out only to be told that whatever I had is gone, so pay up sucker. The minute clinic staff is fast, caring and you get your prescription filled while you are being seen all in one swoop. Five stars here! read more

The minute clinic is really one of the best ideas I could ever think of. Picture yourself miserable as heck with your spring allergies. And you don't have time to go see a snobby doctor that's going to sit down and talk about your family history for 86 hours and recommend a bunch of stupid stuff JUST so you can get your hands on a 90 day supply of Allegra. Pretty pathetic isn't it? Enter "Minute Clinic". come in at lunch, talk to a nurse prac, get your prescription filled, and go outside to cut grass and enjoy the smells, without bursting into a sickening pile of itchy eyes and never ending bubble boogers. I want to give the pharmacy 5 stars, but what lets this CVS down is the stock rotation in the store. The drinks in the cooler are always out of date by at least a few months. Always date check everything you buy from this location. Other than that it is clean, people are friendly and usually very polite. read more

I am strictly posting a one star due to the extremely unfriendly and unhelpful pharmacist I just had to endure. I had an appointment for a Covid test and while I was fully aware of my appointment time, I was in that area already, so figured it wouldn't hurt to ask if I could do my test early-I knew this was a 50/50 shot and was open to either answer, assuming it would come in a nonconfrontational tone, because why would it not? I was greeted with a "Why are you here when Covid appointments don't begin until 10?" I simply stated I understood but was curious if I could get it done early. To which she replied in the most irritated and unkindly-like tone, "Ma'am you made an appointment. We make appointments for a reason. You need to show up at your appointment time!" I never write reviews, but to be treated in such a manner simply for asking a question is flat out unacceptable. I did not catch the face or name of this woman but I hope she learns how to properly treat others. Not even just customers, but people in general. read more

I use to go to Walgreens, used them for years until their customer service went totally downhill. I started using CVS in Roeland park and stuck with them after moving to Olathe years ago. I have been very happy with their service. They are always friendly (with the exception of the one lady in pharmacy that never acknowledges the Pug, he can tell you which one it is!) The pharmacy is very efficient in filling prescriptions. I love the interaction they have between the Olathe Health Systems (maybe all the Kansas City medical facilities, but I only have experience with how they interact with Olathe Health Systems.) If I see a doctor at OHS, they send prescriptions wirelessly and I am able to drive right over and pick it up, I have never had to wait. This is greatly convenient, especially if you are not feeling good. I don't do a lot of shopping inside, but the few times I have, they are always clean, well organized and convenient to pick up some necessities when you are sick. While some of their prices are high, their prices on things like milk, bread, etc are similar to what you will find at stores. Nice to know you are not being gouged on necessities or feeling forced to go multiple places or pay a lot more when you don't feel well. read more

this review is for the minute clinic. while the nurse I saw was nice, I feel like they are definitely in business to prescribe prescriptions that will get the most money for cvs. I went in and got diagnosed with a sinus and ear infection. she had my prescription ready for amoxicilin but at the last second changed it to something 'better'. the better medicine just happened to cost $120, as opposed to the $10 amoxicilin would of cost. 7 days into taking it my ear is still hurting so I called them back to see if they could switch me to something else. they advised I could come in and pay for another appt or go to my pcp. thumbs down read more

I LOVE this CVS. The pharmacy is one of the best I've ever been to. They have amazing customer service and they are super friendly and prompt! I typically am helped by Tiffany Bergonzoni and she is probably the friendliest pharmacy tech I've ever dealt with. She is so happy and has nothing but great things to say about her job and really seems to enjoy coming to work everyday! You don't see that too often these days so it's really great! read more

The Minute Clinic at this CVS has a nurse practitioner named Suzanne who won't administer any type of birth control because it is against her religious beliefs. Unbelievable! I had to drive 20 minutes to a CVS in Lenexa and wait in line again just for a Depo shot. I will never use this CVS again. CVS advertises that they provide this specific service. Suzanne should chose to work elsewhere if her beliefs prohibit her from providing this service. read more

The minute clinic is fantastic. Suzanne is hands down the best. The employees in the front of the house are also very pleasant and helpful. However, the pharmacy has a lot to be desired. Jamie is wonderful and will go above and beyond to help you and is very knowledgeable.. Shirley on the other hand is about as pleasant as a scorpion. She will go out of her way to be difficult to deal with and with a pissy attitude. If I go there and see her, I will immediately leave and go to hyvee pharmacy. Anywhere but where she is. So JAMIE and most of the pharmacy techs get a 5 star rating from me and Shirley gets a 0 star review. So overall a cumulative 3 stars for this CVS pharmacy. read more

This review is specifically for the Minute Clinic. I've gone back and forth to them and Walgreens. Personally, I prefer Walgreens on Santa Fe in Olathe. CVS is normally busier and I was not able to get the prescription I felt that I needed. I'm alright with trying a more moderate course of action prior to an antibiotic, buy having had a history of sinus infections (and going to CVS to get them treated), I'm pretty familiar with them by now. I would also have been ok with trying something instead of antibiotics first, but unfortunately, if they had not done the trick, I have to return to CVS a week later, pay another clinic fee and then maybe or maybe not get a prescription. 77% of antibiotic use in the US is for farm animals. Don't punish people who are sick from the overuse of these meds. I got a different opinion from Walgreens, my Rx, and I'm on the road to recovery. read more
