This review is not so much about the pharmacy, but about the store itself. I went in today with my daughter for the MinuteClinic. While there she needed to hurl so we run to the restroom and it was absolutely filthy. I'm talking bloody pads leaking out the garbage, toilet paper all around the floor, and funnily enough no toilet paper for use anywhere. When I ran to find some, two employees told me sorry and got me some toilet paper for her but DIDN'T CLEAN THE BATHROOM! They went back to stocking makeup, because apparently that was more pressing. Sorry but I don't even hold high standards for public restrooms and this one stood out as GROSS in a place (pharmacy/health clinic) where sanitation is key. read more

The pharmacy is completely incompetent and unhelpful. I can count how many times they have gotten my sons prescription wrong. Tonight my sister, who tested positive for Covid and lives in another household, asked me to pick up paxlovid for her and drop it off in her mailbox. I went inside because there was 7 cars in line at the drive the drive thru, and they refused to let me pick up the prescription inside. They said "we tell everyone to pick this up at the drive thru." You didn't tell me anything, it's not my prescription. After waiting in line for 20 minutes inside I had to wait another 45 minutes outside to pick up a prescription for someone I wasn't exposed to. The Asian pharmacist was extremely rude and the little kid behind him who wasn't even involved in this conversation had smart ass comments to make even though he wasn't even involved in the interaction. read more

I found the store very clean. All of the employees that we encountered were very friendly. I should've check the reviews first. I just had a terrible experience with a pharmacy technician named Tyler. I usually go to the CVS in Avalon Park, but this CVS was on my way, so decided to fill my prescription here. NEVER AGAIN. In a very loud tone of voice he told me that the controlled substance I was trying to fill was a very "abusable" substance and they couldn't fill it since they don't carry it. He spoke loudly enough that the customers near me heard every word. I don't think he meant to be ill about it, but he even disclosed the medication I was prescribed by my doctor very loudly. I've had nothing but problems with them lately. They text me to ask if I want a prescription refilled and after answering no repeatedly, they refill it anyway and then send me multiple texts reminding me to pick it up. Today I tried to pick up a prescription with a coupon, and the lady told me I couldn't use it because it was for cash only patients. I pointed to the coupon where it says it may be used by commercial insurance patients, and at that point she rudely told me to get out of the drive-through line and go eat somewhere for 15 to 20 minutes while she figures it out. Unbelievably rude. Update: Today I needed for someone to explain to me why I was unable to get a prescription that my physician had called in for me and instead of explaining the reason why, which I could've handled, they were just rude and said it's too soon. I asked why it was too soon and they wouldn't answer me, then the lady just handed the phone to somebody else and made me explain the whole thing again to a different person who gave the same reply. I called my doctors office and what she said made sense, and if they had just taken the 30 seconds it would've taken to explain why I couldn't have the prescription today, it would've been OK. They made it very clear that they could not care less that I was upset. I would give them zero stars if I could. read more

I picked up a couple of packs of sweets (I really like their gummy candies;) and, the manager working the counter was professional, friendly, helpful and patient, as I rattled off 4 phone numbers only to find my new cell was the default... d'oh. I am a CVS/Caremark plan subscriber so imagine my surprise when I went to get a controlled substance script filled (a medication I refill monthly) and was treated like a bum. I first called and was told they would not provide me any information over the phone. Fine. I drive to the window and she looks at the script and shoves it back through the window saying "I can't fill this." I ask "So which CVS can?" and I was told she could not tell me that as it is "company policy." Fortunately I was able to get my script filled at a another pharmacy with no problem. My new policy will be "no more CVS." Yes, I will have to go through them for mail order scripts but for anything else I will never set foot in one of their crappy looking stores every again. I'm giving this minute clinic a one star only because there is no zero. Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced. We arrived at the so-called walk-in medical clinic at 8:50 and waited until they opened at 9 Once they opened no one even acknowledged us The doctor just walked around changing the signs to open. We sat there for 15 minutes with no other patients around. So we ask is this a walk-in and she tells us no you have to take an appointment and the first appointment isn't available until 230. Like I stated no one is even waiting to be seen and my husband is there for a simple dogbite just to get some antibiotics. The female doctor was so extremely rude and uncaring. They never have to worry about me returning to this CVS. It should not be called a walk-in clinic as that service is not provided even when there's no one waiting! read more

This CVS calls and says RX is ready for pick up. When I get there, I use drive through. It's never ready. Last three or four times I got an automated call that said ready for pick up. When I got up to my turn in drive thru, nope not ready, as per usual.... Why say it's ready when it's not? I've asked them and they have no idea. Also they got my insurance wrong and were going to charge me much more than what I normally should pay. I had to question them on this a couple of times. Be sure they have your correct, up to date insurance on file because even if you gave it them, as I did, they may not have it entered correctly. Know what you should be paying for your copays because they make a ton of mistakes and no one has a clue over there. I'm going to switch my pharmacy to a different provider as they are awful. read more

This was the worst minute-clinic I've been to. My boyfriend went in to get tested for strep because I tested positive for strep, and we had the same symptoms. When we told the nurse this, she asked if he had a fever during the sickness. We said yes, as that IS A SYMPTOM OF STREP. After this she refused to see him because she claimed that he had covid. Mind you I had been tested for covid the day before and came back negative... so he definitely does not have covid and does have strep. But now he can't get treated for strep and will reinfect me. read more

I use this store for my mega amounts of prescriptions I currently take. They have always been very friendly. I like that they send you a text message when the prescription is ready for pick up. The pharmacy is very very busy and always has a small line (whether drop of or pick up) However the line consists of people ringing up other in the stores, and not picking up any prescriptions. In that case, use the registers in front of the store. read more

The customer service here is the WORST! In times past, I have had multiple holds on the phone for over 20 minutes, an Rx that was filled FOUR times after I told them FOUR times to take it OFF the automatic refill, an Rx that was on back order for MONTHS but when I went to a different CVS 10 minutes away they were fully stocked, and outright rude behavior on multiple occasions. Don't get me started on the college age guy who mumbles who knows what and hangs up on people. It's like the workers here don't care about people, hate their job, and move in the SLOWEST way possible. Today's example: My dog needed a refill, and she is listed under my birth date in the system, just different first name of course. I wanted to use a GoodRx coupon for the medication. The lady (named Sue, who is older and I have seen move like a snail about everything more than once) said it was no problem and she just needed to make the price adjustment. This apparently didn't mean to cancel the old scan and re-scan it, or anything simple. She said it would be a few minutes so I sat down. I waited for almost 5 minutes and didn't see her anymore. Then she came back and said she couldn't use the coupon with my insurance. Umm, what??? I didn't ASK you to use insurance. It is for my DOG! For all you know, this was a different person so WHY would you use insurance?? I asked her to cancel the insurance claim and use the coupon since it was cheaper. She said OK and disappeared again. Another wait, this time for almost 10 minutes. Someone else (wish I had gotten her name because she was nice) tried to help me, and it STILL wasn't ready. She asked some other older man and he mumbled something about counting something. So I'm standing at the counter (because I refuse to sit and be ignored again) for a further 5 minutes while this nonsense gets sorted out. While I'm waiting, where in the world is Sue?????? She is LEAVING!! I watch her gather her things, be told bye and have a good day off by her coworkers, and she LEAVES! I mean W...T...F!!!! She was the one ORIGINALLY working on my Rx, and she abandons it without a word to me??!!?!?! All she had to say was that Bob (or whatever his name was) would be taking over the Rx for me. I would HIGHLY recommend staying away from ANY Minute Clinic. I took my son here back in Jan 2019. They billed my insurance incorrectly and my insurance kicked it back to them Feb 2019 (confirmed this both with the EOB and speaking with insurance provider). I get a bill - full cash amount - in December 2019. Right before Christmas. I attempt to call the number on the bill - daily - and could not get thru. It took reaching out to SM to get a contact from someone. Even then, we played phone tag and this supposed Manager was difficult to get a hold of. When I finally did reach him he was one of the most condescending individuals I have spoken to in healthcare. He just repeated himself, defensively, without explaining to me anything. I was offered a mere 20% off but CVS took NO responsibility for their mistake of allowing this to sit for almost a year. He claims this was out of network and "we didn't bill wrong" (like a broken record). I confirmed with my insurance provider both at the time of service, the time of the bill and just now who reported they are in network. I distinctly remember the CVS minute clinic provider reporting I was in network. If you don't want a surprise bill and rude customer service reps - STAY AWAY. read more

This review is for the Minute Clinic at CVS. I've been there twice this week trying to get a flu shot. First time I went the nurse had left early for lunch. The posted lunch time says 1:30-2:30, I got there at 1:15 and she was already gone. So I left and came back 2 days later at 2:50 and the nurse was still out to lunch. Well, I thought she must have gotten out late. The sign in computer showed only 4 people waiting so I went ahead and signed in. During the sign in the nurse showed up. When I finished signing in suddenly there were 9 people ahead of me. How the heck did that happen? They only have 1 freakin computer! I sat down and waited. She called the first 3 names and no one came up, so I thought, "Great! This will be quick." She saw the next person and then when she finished she started the list over!!! So I waited. And waited. And waited. And waited. Finally an HOUR (and I'm not exaggerating) had gone by and there were still 3 people ahead of me. I was surrounded by sick, coughing people the whole stupid time. I couldn't take it anymore after an hour so I left. The Minute Clinic. Ha! I could have gotten service faster at the ER! I never got my flu shot and I won't be the least bit surprised if I get sick from all the exposure. I will never go back there again. read more

Their website does not provide detailed information regarding THE true business hours. The sign says: you must sign up 15 minutes prior OR B4 CLOSING which was 5:30 (Saturday hours). However the nurse on 10-25-2014 31825 ZIPCODE Alafaya CVS worked against the POSTED POLICY and refused to sign us up. She stated her patient that she was with already would be too long to service us. However the sign didn't support her statement. she put a sign on the computer stating it was out of order and it stayed: please use the sign up sheet. I asked her why she didn't have the sign in sheet out here, of course she mentioned the unwritten rule "I have this family in my office and they will probably be here past 5:30" although you got here according to the written rules I can't serve u, it's beyond my control" I stated "your words should reflect what is written here, but you are conflicting with your written posted policy." She told me the website says that. But the website only gave location and services. And your minute clinic's sign should match the website and your statements otherwise you should see my husband. She refused in the name of Minute Clinic looked at her watch like I was bothering her TWICE- obviously she had a hot date!! So she gave me a list and dismissed me. We are at the the competition across the street Mini ER. It's nice and they have better services. They gave him MORE education and she gave me amoxicillin. My husband got doxycycline. I felt horrible for the next 2 weeks. So never going to Minute Clinic again I don't like being treated this way! read more

My doctor accidentally called a few prescriptions into this CVS (which I used to use, but decided to switch to Publix for convenience). I received an automated message confirming that my prescriptions were ready for pickup. The pharmacy closed at 9:00 pm and I arrived just before 8:45 pm. The girl at the pharmacy register pulled my 3 prescriptions and I advised her that my insurance had changed since the last time I was there, so she moved me over to another register to update my insurance. That is when the pharmacist, Emily, approached the register I was at and said that she would take over. Emily was not very personable. She updated my new insurance into their system and told me that she would page me in a few minutes once she updated the prescriptions under the new insurance. I walked around the store to browse at a few things, but stayed relatively close to the pharmacy area. Just before 9:00 pm, I noticed the gate at the pharmacy window being closed partially. I assumed they were trying to deter any new customers from approaching the counter. A few minutes later, I saw Emily and another employee exit the door to pharmacy area and set the alarm. I walked up to them and asked Emily if she forgot about me. She gave me a blank stare and acted like she had no idea who I was. Mind you, only about 15 minutes had lapsed....not hours. Emily then said that they paged everyone that was waiting for a prescription. Again, I never left the store so there is no way I would have missed being paged. I have been paged in that store before and its not like you can miss hearing your name. Emily then said that there was no way she could even get back into the system. The fact that she did not apologize or admit it was her mistake is what aggravates me. I told her to forget about it and that I would have the prescription transferred to Publix (which is exactly what I did the following day). I left the store and called the store manager the next day to advise what happened. read more

Pharmacist Emily is extremely rude. Went in yesterday with specific instructions on my prescription that they could not give me anything other than the actual medicine for a chronic condition where my eyesight can become impaired without correct medication. Before I left the store I noticed they gave me the wrong medicine so I went back. She greeted me rudely asking Is there a problem? I told her that I had been given the wrong medicine and she literally said, "It didn't say that on your prescription, just so you know." When i know it did and tried to tell her that it did. She went an insisted the medicine she gave me would work fine, but if I wanted I could get a refund and she might be able to get in the actual medicine by the next day. She acted like she didn't even care and it was going to be a hassle to order my correct medicine. Only when I told them that I had a photo of the prescription and the instructions did they insist I get a refund and they would place a special order for my medicine. Emily had argued with me saying there wasn't specific instructions on my prescription and wouldn't even double check, insisted I didn't need my actual medicine, and made it sound like it would be such a big deal to get my correct medicine. When I got the refund she wouldn't even look at me or apologize for the mistake. She stood in the back and let another worker help me, who had no idea what was going on and tried to deny me the refund. I've never had a problem with this pharmacy until this, and because of it I will never return again. read more
