I asked if she could call the insurance since I know the insurance was valid. She said "We don't do that.". Horrible answer to give a billing manager from a medical company. She stuck to her guns and would not do the work though. Upon calling myself I found it was a bogus denial and the medication is only covered through medical benefit. One simply call would have resolved the issue not to mention this medication is covered through government assistance for the pandemic as well. Won't be back anytime soon.

While Drs were trying to get us on Correct medications for BP, and Heart meds. Now we use automated system to call in prescriptions when needed, the automated system does not work most the time. If you call in a prescription to early, they just don't fill it. You come back another day and do it all over again. On that same day I got a call from Walgreens stating that I had a prescription ready for pick-up. There were 2 prescriptions called in. I knew one of them wasn't due until the next day. On Friday Jan. 17th, I went to Walgreens to pick up both prescriptions. The pharmacy tech that was working at 9:15a.m. was EXTREMELY rude and condescending. I said, "Yes, I am here to pick up a prescription." She said rudely, "Phone number?" I told her. She went and retrieved my prescription. "She said, "I have one ready." She clearly knew I had two prescriptions to pick up. I said, "When will the other prescription be ready?" She had her phone in her ear, and it appeared that she was ignoring the question. In about 60 seconds later and looking at her computer screen while speaking into her phone she said about 20 mins. I had know idea that she was talking to me. She handed me my first prescription and my change and said halfheartedly, "Thank You." I said, "Maim, I asked you a question." She said, "About 20 minutes!" I said, "Oh, you were talking to me? You were looking into your computer and talking into your phone." She gave me a dirty look and rolled her eyes. I pulled around the building and went in the front door and sat down in the pharmacy waiting chairs. She seen me, but would not look at me. Ten minutes later, she paged me throughout the whole store clearly knowing that I was sitting right there. After paying for my prescription, I handed her my Walgreens card and said, "Here you go, I won't be needing this any longer." She just looked at me, knowing that she had acted inappropriately. This was all do to my prescription being pain medicine. It is not for her to judge or stereotype me as a druggy. My doctor prescribed this medication for a reason. This woman would be terminated if I were her manager. I spend a lot of money at Walgreens, but now CVS will get my business. Too bad, soooo sad Walgreens. The woman had brown shoulder length hair, was tall and a little overweight. Stay away from her, she is not helpful, nor does she appreciate your business.

The pharmacy staff tend to be worse than the front end staff, but both are often so far below par that sub par would be a compliment. Past experiences have included having to complete the same forms multiple times because they misplace them, failing to following up on refill and transfer requests, and my favorite refusing to resubmit insurance requests when they make mistakes without cancelling the filled drugs and waiting for a new fill. Add this with the experience today where a cashier opens a new register lane at the photo department so it's unclear to the first person in line of she's open for customers or doing work, then not saying anything but helping a guy who just walks up ignoring me who had been waiting in line for a couple minutes and then chatting him up instead of working to clear out the line!
