Clearly, it's hard times in the pharmacy business, as well as other retail businesses subject to excessing shoplifting. Dear Hubby and I are not from the area, but we were staying nearby and needed to pop in for a few things that I'd forgotten. One was a travel sized can of hair spray. Not only were the options limited (and crazy expensive!), but they were also locked up, so I needed to find an employee with the keys to provide access. That experience was relatively painless to accomplish, but it sure was a wake up call as to what goes on in shopping for such a simple item these days. The store looked mostly cold and intimidating, versus warm and inviting. I used to enjoy shopping at CVS. Now it feels like something that's a grit your teeth and get through it kind of experience. Sad!

Decent CVS located in The Village shopping center. Small parking lot, but inside the store has decent size and is very clean. There is another CVS right across the street in the San Leandro Plaza, but this one is newer. Decent store!!

1550-E14th St? Oakland or San Leandro? It's CVS in The Dro!

Lazy ass UPS delivery could have dropped off my Amazon package in the lobby. No. Left me a scribbled message to pick up 1550 E14 St xxx? I had to call UPS to verify the location. It is CVS. Sure enough, the UPS packaged are stored behind the cash registers. Show ID and it's delivered!

I could go to any other CVS in my location near my neighborhood but for some reason they don't fill my prescriptions from so in doctors I go to. So I drove all the way from W. Oakland to San Leandro. I do prefer this CVS and Pharmacy however because it is always organized and quiet. It's always empty too, I don't know if that's a good thing or not but I prefer shopping with out a ton of people in my way. The CVS is pretty well known because if it's popular location, and even though the store is always empty, the parking lot is always full. You have to go like a merry go out before you find a spot. I think the neighbors doors take up most of the parking. They do have a drive-through pharmacy but it seems like their pharmacy is always slow. The people are more concerned making the prescriptions then serving the guest. You always have to wait a second before being served. They are always professional just very slow. Please be advised... Updated: since Covid 19 Cvs stores are only allowing customers in with Mask or face coverings for concern Of guest service and customers.

I'm really disappointed with the service at this Walgreens Pharmacy. I called in a refill on…read moreSunday, May 3rd, and was told it would be ready for pickup after 8 AM on Tuesday morning. I went to pick it up on Wednesday, only to be told it wasn't ready yet. When I explained that I had already called it in on Sunday, the employee initially said she didn't see anything in the system and told me to come back the next day. After I reminded her again that I had called in, she suddenly "found" it and told me to come back in 2 hours and that I would receive a text message when it was ready. I never received the text message they promised. I returned on Friday, and once again they couldn't locate my prescription. After more searching, they finally found it -- but they also tried to give me someone else's order at the same time. I had to explain that I only had one prescription and asked them to verify it using my phone number, not just my last name. The entire experience was very unprofessional, disorganized, and frustrating. On top of that, the drive-thru wait was over 20 minutes. For something as important as prescriptions, accuracy and communication should be a priority. This pharmacy seriously needs to improve its customer service and organization.

OK, so first of all let me just say I love Gigi and Christina and a few…read moreOf my favorite staff members there, but they recently decided to redesign the entire store and put things out of place and so now we have to find things all over again Other than that, I think they need more cashiers on hand, cause the lines are way too long, especially in the morning hours and rush-hour evening hours If you have cashiers at every station, not just a few things will go a little quicker and lines won't be as long, but it seems like only a few stations are available at a time each day The only other thing I hate about the places that we have to get people to unlock things and for things like toenail, clippers, and shavers or whatever they put it in lock boxes, which is ridiculous

This Walmart on Davis St in San Leandro is a frightening SLUM. I thought I'd walked into downtown…read moreTijuana. Filthy, massive long lines, no room to push a shopping cart down any aisles, for all the indifferent employees wandering around like they were high (who can blame them, working there?), and the shelves poorly stocked. I drove a HALF HOUR to this location for a small kitchen appliance I needed to cook with since my stove is broken, and this was the closest to where I live. I tried ordering it online, the online ordering was seizing up, the item said "in stock," so I thought it would be "in stock" if I walked in and bought it in-store. NOPE. Gone from the shelf. I was not familiar with any part of San Leandro, and no one EVER answers a phone in ANY California Walmarts in Customer Service (you'd die trying, with the phone ringing for the next 50 years). So I had to drive in. The parking lot is like a convention of the most depressing and depressed-looking people on Earth and everything just looked filthy. I think the inside of County Jail is cleaner. So I drove to another Walmart a 9 minute drive away, the one on Hesperian, hoping I wouldn't be met with the same nightmare; I wasn't. The Hesperian one was clean, the lines moved fast, and the shelves were well stocked. In this one on Davis, the impression is just chaos and anarchy in the entire store. The Hesperian one is still a Walmart (and God help anyone for braving any of them), but at least THERE (NOT HERE!) I was able to get what I came in for, and leave, within a short time.

Thank god I don't have regular medical issues to need to shop at a pharmacy regularly. I came in…read morehere to find a specific OTC nasal spray after my husband's surgery, after checking both of the nearby grocery stores with no luck (partly because Safeway now has their entire pharmacy section behind glass). About 50% of the aisles here are behind glass, and it's absolute chaos. The same exact medicine in the same exact box will be both behind glass and not behind glass in different sections of the same aisle. Different formulations of the same thing, different sizes, name brand or generic, there's no logic whatsoever as to what's behind glass and what isn't, or even what section of the aisle something is in. I found the same medicine on opposite ends of the same aisle, both behind glass and not in both sections. So you're left trying to compare the ones you can get without calling over the *one employee in the store* to open it for you. You're scrounging the entire aisle, looking at the fine print on every product to see if it's just another brand's equivalent name for what you're looking for, comparing prices and added ingredients on everything. Trying to decide whether the one you can just pick up off the shelf is the one you want or whether it's worth calling over the employee to open the shelf for you so that you can even look at the other options. And then I got a headache and just bought the cheapest one I could pick up off the shelf. Good thing I already have headache medicine at home, not sure I'd survive trying to find it here. I'm never coming back.

The layout of the store makes you walk the farthest amount to get to anything medically related. I am limping. I had to go get an Ace bandage. I had to walk all the way to the farthest corner from the front door, past candy, alcohol, and 'seasonal things', as well as the Hallmark aisle,-- to get to pain-relief medicine and ankle support). Tell me that wasn't done by design?
