Instead of getting those tanks from a cage at a retail store, I like getting the maximum amount of fuel that you can put in the tank. I used to swap the tanks at Rite Aid or wherever until my buddy showed me the difference. I'm not sure if the other tanks came with as much fuel. These guys sell propane and other fuel, and there's a U-Haul right here. It's kind of industrialy around here but worth the drive from anywhere in SL. read more

This store has a lot going on in here- Uhaul, gas, propane, gifts, snacks, tools, whatever you need: this place has it! We had to rent a U-Haul in Belmont but got re-routed over here to pick up one. We parked and headed inside to check in for trailer. We were in and out, quick and easy- paperwork signed and coconut water in hand. For some reason the truck didnt start so Paul had to go back inside and purchase a tool he needed to remove the dash of his truck. The store clerk was very helpful and good spiritedly offered to help. Paul got it working quickly though and away we went. We had to use the trailer for an extra day but drop off was quick and easy- they open at 6 am! I'm not often over here but it was a good experience and if you find yourself needing a U-Haul, a snack, a screwdriver, propane, and a beer, I know just the place for you! read more

Have refilled my propane tanks here many times. They are busy, they fill a lot of tanks, and they're very good at it. The price is reasonable, they don't charge you a minimum like some of the other places, so you just pay for what you get - like filling your car gas tank. When you consider that an exchange tank is $23 and you only get 15 pounds, you will save a lot of money refilling instead of exchanging. read more

A very polite gentleman answered and stated They did have propane, told me the price per gallon and encouraged me to come In so I did. Once I got there I encountered an extremely rude young male employee equals Two stars and I won't be Going back. I needed mattress bags for moving and stopped by this place. I've always known about this place for propane and uHaul truck rentals. I was pleasantly surprised to see the amount of different moving supplies they have. From moving boxes, packaging paper, plastic wrap and much more all at reasonable prices. I wanted to rent a uHaul truck for a one-way rental and it is pretty much impossible to find at any locations in California. My understanding is that rentals are leaving California but none are coming back. Just not enough to meet the demand. read more

Today is September 11, first thing in the morning, my tire light came on. I needed a place to get an amazing service. I went to fast and gas and spoke to Zia. He handle the phone calls and also was working on a car when i arrived to his shop. He immediately work on my car and gave the option of having a used or new tires. Other shop would only give you a new one and charge you extra for labor since they know you really need it asap. I been to a lot of shop and here at San Leandro. I've been suspicious of the exchange tank format to get propane. That's why I come here to get refilled rather than exchange tanks. I know how much propane I'm buying at a specific reasonable price. Today, I had one empty tank refilled and two partially used tanks topped up. They're always busy but they work quickly and my wait was about 15 minutes. Can't top up with the exchange format and you can't be sure that exchange tank is actually full at time of purchase. I know I have three full tanks now because I watched them being filled properly. This is for the U-Haul portion of their service. Never again. Reserved a U-haul here through their online/app pick up given that they close at 5pm on the weekends and we had to schedule it for a later time. We called, because we were going to be a bit late for the pick up time. They said it's ok, because they'll have employees on stand by for 24/7. 1. We rushed over as fast as we could! 2. There were a crowd of dudes just hanging out and didn't greet us and that we had to ask if someone worked there. 3. It was obvious only a couple dudes worked there and the rest were their friends. 3. We told one of the gentlemen who worked there that we ran a bit late and they said it was ok. 4. He said they already locked the keys, so there's nothing they can do, but just to cancel our reservation and make a new one for the morning. (Which we needed immediately and the reason why we reserved that hour in the first place !) 5. We (my fam) didn't argue, we were kind and understanding and just said, "ok, thank you." 6. Right when we got back into our cars...panicking. We heard him making fun of us with his friends. Like his job is so hard, while they just sit around and judge. 7. We reported everything to the main man in charge. I'm so furious I cried a little, because we worked hard all day! My gpas been in surgery one after the other within a week. Us grandchildren decided to surprise him with a bday party at his hospital bed. We slaved and cooked and shopped. Because they denied us our reservation we didn't get to show our surprise to our gpa and didn't make it on time to say goodbye during his last breath, because we were driving around trying to find other U-Haul places who actually cared enough to rent us one at that hour. This place is very busy. I called to get my truck inspected to tow a trailer, the guy that answered the phone didn't tell me to hold because he was busy helping other customers. Instead he just put the phone down as I heard each transaction he made. It was until he was done that he answered a very simple question.....Can I come by to have my truck pre-inspected so that I have the correct tow hitch. Customer service out the door. On February 5, 2021, I rented a 15-foot U-Haul, a dolly to tow my vehicle and 12 furniture pads from Flagstone Storage in Bentonville, Arkansas. I paid the entire amount of $1,326.97 dollars the same day I rented the above items. When I returned to San Leandro, California, my drop off destination was Fast Gas & Propane in San Leandro, California. The manager who worked there charged me an additional $785.75 dollars and never explained why. In addition, My Uncle and I filled the gas tank to 1/2 full, according to the rental agreement, and then dropped off everything at the point of destination. I turned over the items and keys to the manager. He accepted the keys after an employee checked out the truck, dolly and furniture pads. Everything was in the exact condition as when I rented them. The manager at Fast Gas & Propane charged me an additional $785.75 dollars after I paid the entire amount while I was back in Bentonville, Arkansas. I called the manager several times and he would not speak to me. I called U-Haul and could not get in touch with any person. read more

These guys are great open on sundays a plus, just repaired my front tire its been leaking lord behold the valve stem needle was bad, he dunked it and there was bubbles changed it and dbl. checked it install tire, cost 20. bucks.
