Unfortunately, this pharmacy is close to my house and my insurance wants me to use CVS. However, the service is painfully slow, mistakes are the usual and always a line soooooo long. Today, I went to the pharmacy for the 3rd time to pick up a rx, and it still wasn't ready! They could not explain the mistake. They asked if I could 15-20 minutes? No! I'll have to go back for a 4th time. Honestly, I'm going to try to a different CVS even if it's further - this place is terrible! I have to agree with other reviewers - it may just be CVS. Very unhappy with the pharmacy. I went to the drop off window and told them my Pediatrician had called in a Rx for our child. I told them my child's info, and they said they did not get a call for that child... And with the store closing in thirty minutes it was unlikely I could reach my pediatrician and have him call it in on time. I (having been with my pediatrician when the Prescription was called in) knew this to be false so I called the doc (we are good friends) on my cell phone in front of the pharmacist to confirm. Low and behold after she spoke with him she checked the phone line and it was there. I told them I was a little disappointed, being a family Med physician myself that they treat customers so poorly. I will not be sending any prescriptions to that pharmacy after this incident. Very unprofessional, and the pharmacist made sure to emphasize Mister when she knew That I am a doctor. read more

Who thought they could mess up 3 times in one day? My dad went to drop off 3 prescriptions when he came home from work and 30 minutes later he went out to pick them up. Too bad he came home with 2 of the new prescriptions and a monthly refill that gets picked up. So where is the last and most important one? Apparently, they didn't have that medication in stock so you would think they'd give us a call. But they didn't. So we had to drive back out there and coming face-to-face with the workers, they were clueless. They looked like deers caught in headlight when we told them to check their systems. Then someone came up to us and told us, oh we don't have this until next week I thought I called you? If you had called us, would we be coming out for the third time? When I mentioned this, she apologized through gritted teeth and claimed that she had called us 4 times so we checked our phones and what do you know? No missed calls. Overall, we've had many problems with the pharmacy here. Who would have thought that putting trust into a place that deals with medication that you need, would be dealt with in a poor manner. read more

I Like CVS in general but this location is by far the worst I have ever been to. I would like to emphasize the fact that I am referring to the Pharmacy section. The service is just crap, not only they are extremely slow in taking your prescription, and when it's finally your turn, you are welcomed with a nasty attitude and at least an hour and half wait for your meds. Of course most of the time you go back and your medication is still not ready. I am speaking from multiple experiences, I keep going back because it's next door to me but i keep hating myself for it. This time I decided to write a review to make sure I never step a foot in that pharmacy again. read more

I've been going to this CVS location since I was a kid. Probably for about 16 years now. Recent staff are completely rude and unprofessional. I understand that retail is a stressful job and there is difficult customers but their behavior today was not exceptional. I'm usually very easy going and understanding however today I had legit reasons to get angry. I only bought one item(a thermometer) because my mom was sick. The cashier (particularly the south Asian lady with the headscarf) I'm pretty sure she is from the same ethnic background as me because the minute I was on the phone speaking with my mom in my language then she started treating me differently. I don't know what kind of mentality older generations from my background have but they think they're better than you always. The lady only give me a coupon and I have a thousand things going on in my head. She didn't even give me a receipt... I don't even remember her printing it out. I realized the minute I walked back to my car. I went back in and she told me that she didn't even remember ringing me??? Like wth?! I was LITERALLY there a minute ago. The cashier by the name Dildeep was really nice and he was even confused why she didn't remember me. She then proceeded to blame me for losing the receipt. Didn't even apologize... told the manager. The manager took like a while to print out a detail report. He handed the paper to me and then asked me if the thermometer was mine? I was like yeah?!. What kind of question is that?. Then he was like okay over and over. Probably noticed I was a young, non white person (I bet if I was a white man or lady, he'd apologize like crazy and give me a huge discount Ugh..) neither of them apologized. This CVS doesn't know how to train their employees right.. or at least recently. Before I never had any problem but that lady needs to leave and the manager who is condenscending. She has an attitude with most customers. There is other jobs besides retail and I was friendly with her at first. Not to mention I even saw a live rodent once running from aisle to aisle once at their location.. read more

My mother had been filling her prescriptions here for years without incident. She has a serious health issue, so for the past few months, I had been dropping off and picking up her prescriptions for her without any problem. No one ever asked me for ID, just to confirm her address and birthdate. Today, my mother was released from the hospital after major surgery, and because I did not want her at the house alone, I asked her friend who had driven us from the hospital to take her hospital issued painkiller prescription to the pharmacy. The pharmacist refused to fill the prescription, even after speaking with both me, and my mother, and acknowledging that we have been picking prescriptions up there for years, because my mother's friend only had a DC ID. She claimed there was a non-discretionary policy that medicine can only be released to someone with a VA ID. It is obviously not true that this is the standard policy, because I have never been asked for ID or seen anyone asked for ID at this pharmacy. The only difference between all the times I picked up the prescriptions, and my mother's friend trying to pick it up is that my mother's friend is visibly African-American. The pharmacist was completely unapologetic about the discrepancy in policy, even after acknowledging that there were months worth of filled prescriptions in my mother's name for the same issue, and chastised me for raising my voice at her while I was explaining why my mother, who had just been released from the hospital after having several major organs removed, could not come in herself. The pharmacist claimed to have no manager present and no supervisor and refused to give me her name over the phone. The whole time I was on the phone with her, my mother, who has given this pharmacy years of business, was cringing in pain. After leaving the CVS, my mother's friend was able to fill the same prescriptions with no problem whatsoever at the Giant next door. We will not be giving this pharmacy any further business. read more

the cvs pharmacy in springfield plaza is a nightmare. that pharmacy has to have the worst customer service i've ever had the displeasure to experience in a retail establishment! i have lived 2 blocks from the pharmacy for years and have used it for the convenience. any other pharmacy is minutes away or isn't open extended hours. but every time you go over there to do anything related to a prescription there is a line a mile long!!! it's usually for the cashiers, i.e., people picking up rx's, but it even happens at the drop off counter, too. that store fills voluminous amounts of scripts, making money hand over fist, yet still continues to squeeze the poor employees who work there by not giving them the manpower to take care of their customers adequately ------- it's a disgrace what goes on there!! i have been so disgusted for so long and always leave there saying i'm going to call the regional manager and i'm finally going to do it. read more
