A plane lands in Reno. A text appears, all employees and contracted service providers in your sector require a flu shot prior to 01/11. Did I mention today is 01/10? The helpful ladies in the CVS pharmacy were quick to help. A brief insurance check, short form to fill out and a fifteen minute wait. It's our turn. We had an informative Q&A with our pharmacist. She was extremely pleasant to talk to and didn't mind us asking questions. Many things falling into place, now. After waiting twenty minutes we were fine. We thanked them again for their swift response and left. It's crazy how everything works out nicely at this location and just a short distance north, the pharmacy is in utter chaos. 01/25 read more

Unfortunately there is not a whole lot to say about this CVS. It is fairly clean and mostly organized. When I go to CVS I expect to pay significantly more for the item or items I need, and usually do. I use them as a last resort or if I need something in a hurry and I'm in the area. I believe they offer a membership type card for further discounts and promotions but I've never took the time to ask about it and its never been offered. Overall this location is not too bad. I will continue to use this location as needed. read more

I've never been so disrespected in my life, I took my mother to get her antibiotics because she had a really bad sinus infection as well as vertigo from being sick. She was literally stumbling and rocking back and forth as we were waiting in line to pick up her prescription. After waiting in line for nearly 30 minutes because the pharmacy only had 2 people working who got countless irate customers as well as her and myself. The "manager". Her name was Theresa or Teresa, however you spell it. Who really cares. Wants to be rude and extremely disrespectful to just about everyone whom was on line waiting. This "Teresa" person was apparently training someone whilst having a line of maybe 12 people. She has said out loud "I can work more than one computer at a time but I'm training you on it so that way you'll know how to do it as for all these customers, they can wait". I Kid You Not! We finally get up to the checkstand. WHEW! Finally! ...Or so we thought... we had been informed that even after 4-5 hours the prescription hadn't even been started or had not been gotten ready at all. Nobody touched it. So Teresa decided to tell us "it's gonna be about 30 minutes until we're done so if you wanna sit I'll bring it out to you". NOPE. My judgment told me to get my mother home ASAP so she didn't fall over from being dizzy. So I did. I came back 45 minutes later and waited in line AGAIN for about another 30 minutes, well at least by the time I get up there I'll be In and Out quick! HA. JUST KIDDING. Bam! My turn, I finally get up to the checkstand and I'm greeted by the employee in training. They have no recollection of me being there I said who I was picking up for and Teresa addresses me very rudely "we already told you people it was going to be 30 minutes". WHAT?? I had grown very frustrated at that point and said "yeah. You said that to us over an hour ago, are you telling me the prescription hasn't even been started??" I was ignored, Was told to stand in a spot and I waited for a few more minutes before being told that it was done. Paid and wished my fellow line friends farewell and Teresa decided to mutter something under her breath in regards to "rude A__ f----ing white boy". Welcome to CVS in sun valley. read more

If I could give this Pharmacy 0 stars I would! This is hands down the very WORST CVS in the Reno/Sparks area. Went there three times to pick up my prescription, last time they made me wait for 20 minutes, with no customers, while they did God only knows what! I will NEVER use this property again. Trust me, there is the North Town CVS or the CVS on Sparks BLVD both within 5 miles of this piece of crap CVS. Save yourself the frustration of poor customer service, no care attitude of the pharmacist and the "go to Hell" attitude of the pharmacy techs. read more

I wish I could post a review with negative numbers of stars! The pharmacy here is HORRIBLE! Where do I begin? Let's see, I call in my refills on my medications or my family members medications and they say they will have it ready but when I go to retrieve my prescriptions...THEY ARE NEVER READY! Half of the time...they don't even have the pill "in stock" because they have issues with their distributors! (That's what they say anyway) So, I go days without my needed medication because they suck! You would think being a PHARMACY that when they were running low on a specific medication they would order it BEFORE they ran out of it but no....they leave their customers without medicine and they don't care either! The customer service completely SUCKS too! Very unprofessional! I wouldn't be so upset if this only happened once in a while but it happens VERY OFTEN! They don't bother to call you and tell you they don't have your pills either! Instead, they make you go there every single day until it finally arrives! Then when it arrives, they take FOREVER to get it ready! This has happened to me NUMEROUS times while trying to fill my refills or my son's prescriptions! If you call them, you'll be put on hold forever and when you finally get to talk to someone they treat you like you're being a nuisance! I wouldn't have to call if they did their jobs! So RUDE! I called the other day and was on hold for a long time. Someone picked up the phone and sat it on the counter so they wouldn't have to hear the reminder that they had a call on hold! So, I'm sitting on the phone for about 5 minutes with no one there! They honestly just picked up the phone, didn't say a word and sat it down so they would no longer be disturbed by the reminder thing that says "you have one pharmacy call waiting" over and over again! How hard is it to properly answer a phone?!? I DO NOT recommend this pharmacy to ANYONE! If you live in Sun Valley....you're better off driving somewhere else even though this is the only pharmacy in Sun Valley! Don't waste your time here! They don't want your business and they sure as hell don't care about their customers! They need an entire new pharmacy staff and better management! If I could rate 0 I would. The pharmacy never has enough staff working, no one answers the phone or you're placed on hold for a long period of time. The drive threw is almost always closed when I'm picking up my prescriptions and waiting in line for 20+ minutes is ridiculous! I've also had misplaced and lost prescriptions from this pharmacy. This is the WORST place to go and get any prescription filled! They never have enough of anything and are so quick to turn away any costumer! The staff here sucks! They don't even have enough staff to run the place!!!! They are RUDE and INCONSIDERATE!!!!!! I'm not even sure how this place is still licensed to run!
