I never write these reviews. But this is my neighborhood CVS and the service is terrible. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because a while ago the manager did try to be helpful. Why is it so difficult to train staff to be polite and courteous to customers? And on good phone etiquette? And how not to give the wrong dosage? (happened to me twice). Staff here seem unhappy and God forbid a customer should complain, you'll get even more of an attitude. I expect better. I shouldn't have to leave my neighborhood to find a good pharmacy. The manager of this store really needs to step it up and improve the pharmacy's service. If the staff are overworked, hire more staff. read more

Not sure that it does any good to review a CVS since you're kinda stuck with the one you've got in your neighborhood and there is no competition since all the mom and pop pharmacies are gone. Anyways, the staff at this CVS is always nice, especially the manager. But the place is a MESS. For some reason every day seems to be shelf stocking day. It doesn't matter what day of the week you go in, the aisles are always blocked by boxes of product waiting to be put on the shelves and it's difficult to walk around. It always seems to be a cluttered mess and a bit dirty. That being said, I'll go back since there's not really an alternative in walking distance. read more

I am a healthcare provider, and I have had this CVS screw up prescriptions more often than any other. I leave it on the machine, and they never fill it. This has happened numerous times. At this very moment, I am on the phone on hold with the terribly-recorded "hold music" that CVS has been playing since I started calling in prescriptions 22 years ago! I am on hold to talk to the pharmacist in person, because once again I called in a prescription to the machine, the client went to pick it up, and it is not there. CVS, do you READ these reviews?? Zero stars would be a more appropriate rating. The staff at the pharmacy of this store are absolutely HORRENDOUS. They have no customer service skills whatsoever. They are rude to costomers, and have routinely messed up my prescriptions. I have made complaints to management, but nothing has changed. If you value your health and you sanity, DO NOT use this pharmacy. Every employee in there should have been fired long ago. read more

By far the worst cvs I have ever been to. One time I had a coupon for $10 cvs gift card. They issued me a gift card and I tried to use it at the register at checkout and it didn't work, they then realized that they had accidentally given me a gas card instead. And since they already issued it, they couldn't exchange it. How do you even mess that up? It just speaks to pretty much every experience I have ever had here. read more

I've gone to this CVS for years and never had any issues but after this week I will not be continuing to give them my business. My doctor called in on Monday and updated my prescription since they increased my dose. On Wednesday evening, I tried calling on my drive home and no one ver picked up and I got there they said they did not have it any prescription ready for me. I was already pissed after that. I called my doctor Thursday morning to make sure they called the correct pharmacy, etc. I think they may have increased the dose but weren't clear that I didn't have enough medicine to take before I was able to refill, so I gave CVS the benefit of the doubt - there may have been a miscommunication somewhere. My doctor emailed me around 10 am and said she called them and spoke to the pharmacist and it would be ready that day. I called CVS and at first they said they didn't have it then I said they spoke to the pharmacist so they checked and confirmed they had received it and it will be ready in a couple of hours. Then I go to pick it up around 2pm and am told it won't be ready for 20-30 more minutes. Okay, fine at least they have it and I'll get it today, I thought. I go back around 4pm and am told that they are out of stock and won't have it until tomorrow. I should have stated earlier that I am pregnant and taking this medicine to control my blood sugars. So after this I am pissed, I'm just trying to do my best to take care of the baby I'm growing. Thank God for Giant on Arliss. I called them and not only did they have the medication in stock, but they were extremely friendly so I'm hoping I will get it tonight. read more

Horrible. I spent 15 minutes waiting for the pharmacist, who was on the phone with my insurance company trying to figure out my coverage for a simple prescription. I have Blue Cross Blue Shield coverage from a major DC law firm. Eventually, I told the pharmacist forget about it, paid for the prescription myself, and left. Who knows how long I would've waited. Every time I go to this pharmacy, I'm amazed by how simple transactions can take forever and come out badly. read more

Store is basic. Pharmacy Is and has always been Horrible. Called twice to chk on a prescription that was called in. They couldn't find my prescription. Finally 4 hrs later, they found it, but of course it isn't Ready. IF you have a choice, pick Anywhere Else read more

For the second time in the past few months, the pharmacist at the CVS on 110 Carroll St NW, Washington, DC 20012, has failed to properly, competently and professionally order prescriptions and give the customer (me) an accurate expectation of when to pick up the order. On Monday, November 26th, I dropped off a prescription for Zohydro ER 10mg 60 quantity, and specifically asked when I can expect for it to come in before I left it there to be filled. I was told by today, Thursday November 29th, it would be in and asked 3x's to be sure. A few months ago, this same pharmacist was given another medication that needed to be ordered and told me it would be in a few days later-and that didn't happen, so I was skeptical this time. I went in yesterday to confirm and was told that it would be in today after 3pm. When I went in today, I was told to check back tomorrow after 3pm-not even a confirmation that it would be there nor an apology for it not coming in as told. I could have taken this to another pharmacy, but it would have been out of the way, and had it filled within 3 days as was the case last time I had it filled (Giant Food, down the street). Now, it's another several days to get another pharmacy to order the medication and suffer the chronic pain issues until I can get it filled. I DON'T BELIEVE HE EVEN ORDERED THE MEDICATIONS-THIS TIME OR THE LAST- given I was able to get the prescription immediately back when asked for, and that this happens only for the pain medication requests. The last time I complained, I was told that the District Manager would follow up and of course, never a word/call. I have NO CONFIDENCE in CVS services any longer and will go out of my way to use another company for better customer service experiences. Given the prior experience with being "told" a DM would follow up and nothing, at least getting this out on SM in this community would hopefully let other consumers know that type of leadership is in charge with CVS. read more

I love this CVS! The staff is always helpful. The shelves are stocked. The hours work for me.

Yelp and cvs website both say this CVS is open until midnight, but it was closed at 11:35 tonight. Otherwise an okay CVS, though I haven't used the pharmacy. I've used two other CVS pharmacies in the past and had pretty bad experiences, so the negative comments about the pharmacy don't really surprise me. read more

This CVS is stocked, but do not, I repeat do not ever try and fill a prescription here. I only tried to fill my prescription here because they were close to my work. They called me in the middle of Snowzilla to tell me my medication was filled after waiting for 3 days before the storm for them to get the medication and fill it, which they promised they would have but did not. I asked them to transfer this medication to the CVS near where I live, and they said that would not be a problem. When I call to check with my local CVS, they hadn't heard anything from anyone at this location, but they told me they would call them to get the prescription sent over... well somehow between not sending my prescription over to the correct CVS and putting my medication as not filled in their system, they lost my prescription. So while their computer says I have a refill, they can't send it over because they lost the prescription. Wonderful, I'll just go another 4 days without my medication cause you guys can't keep track of your thumbs. read more

Ive been going to this CVS for about 8 years. I guess I am lucky that I havent had as negative experiences as the other reviewers. The self checkout generally works fine for me and the regular checkout can be a bit slow, but its not terrible. The pharmacy made a mistake once on a prescription a while ago, but all the others have been fine. Avoid the pharmacy during busy times though because the lines can be long. Overall, I would keep going there. read more

I appreciate the option for drive through prescriptions. My daughter's school is nearby and we often stop in to avoid a larger trip to the store (i.e. almost out of cat food, etc.) I abhor self check out and that is the only strong dislike (and sometimes reason for not going to this store). read more

Wow, how many associates does it take to do an exchange? For me, it took three people and four phone calls for backup, 30 minutes to attempt to process what I though would be an easy switch. In the end, patiently annoyed, I just bought what I needed and told them I would return the other one at another branch. Working as a manager in retail and understanding how customer service is a strong reflection on the success of a business, I would have to say that sadly enough this CVS has become a sinking ship. With the installation of computer check-outs there seems to be a slow down in associate training to handle some of the tasks a customer cannot process on their own. That, along with etiquette is something that needs addressed at this location. Of course, who doesn't love being greeted by a sales associate with "What cha got? What cha need!?...more appropriately one might say, "Hello, what may I help you with today?" Managers, take note!! read more
