The parking lot was pretty full when I got there and I thought well that's a good sign. I walked in and didn't see any signs to say to wait to be seated so I kind of lingered by the door until somebody came by and said they would be with me in a minute. I was seated at a table near the back of the restaurant. My waitress came to take my order and yes she was wearing a mask but it was underneath of her chin! She wore it that way the entire time I was in the restaurant as she waited on other customers and brought food out. She took my order but she failed to tell me that there were specials that day I saw them on a board as I was leaving. I ordered a patty melt and fries. I waited for my order, waited 45 minutes in a diner! I got my food and it was just okay. The onions on the patty melt were not grilled long enough so they were sort of crunchy the bread was hosted on the outside almost to the point of being too much. They may have had a bad day but it is highly unlikely I will stop here again especially with the lack of concern for covid.

Well and the homemade soups and don't forget the pies: Sugarcream, fresh fruit and always a chocolate pudding or lemon meringue! Good coffee, service and company round out the experience. My friend decided on their biscuits and gravy whereas I got pancakes with over-hard eggs and sausage. The woman there is very nice and makes you feel very welcomed. Food was good, pancakes just soaked up the syrup, and the sausage had a good snap to them. Eggs were cooked just right, and it all came out fairly quick. My friend had also gotten a coffee, and when we were done she had asked if he wanted any to-go, which he obliged to, and she put some in a cup for him to take with along with creamer, which I thought was super awesome. You don't see that much anymore where the service is just so polite and thoughtful. As we were about to leave, under the register is where all their pies sit, and I noticed a good looking peanut butter one, so we got two slices to-go as well. She really sold me by mentioning how they also do a banana pie, and to check up on their Facebook for updates and such saying how she posts on there frequently for the diner. I know I definitely will be getting more pie from there next time I'm in the area! The peanut butter pie was more of a whipped filling, so not too overwhelmingly decedent or heavy. The crust was also like a chocolate graham crust, and it really paired well to offset the peanut butter. If you're looking for a cute place to stop by and try, I highly recommend this one. Especially if you like pie!

The tiny diner…read moreprobably hasn't changed much over those 80 years with original vinyl counter seats and Formica tables. I counted five booths and five counter stools that stayed full during our visit. The staff (a couple) are salt-of-the-earth sweet and hustle to keep orders coming. They know the regulars by name and cajole about family. The menu offers breakfast or lunch, with tenderloins as the featured items. Prices are inexpensive. Food comes out quickly. The tenderloins are premade and frozen. They are thin and the breading is flavorful. I had the daily special, a Tenderloin Manhattan which came with green beans and mashed potatoes. This was pure comfort food. The potatoes and tenderloin were good, but the gravy was over salty for me. My husband had the tenderloin sandwich with fries. The tenderloin was ok and the fries were really hot and good. An article on the wall indicated that Artie, the original owner, passed away in an auto accident in 1954. A local business award plaque hung above our table. I'm not sure that the shop is A.D.A. compliant as there are steps at the front door and the aisle is very narrow. There may be a ramp at a rear entrance, I couldn't tell. We found free street parking on an adjacent street. I give the place high marks on character and I love the service. The food is ok.

It was very tasty with the tenderloin you can taste that it's pork not a fried cracker. I will certainly get one next time. It's honestly the way to go.. I have a very sensitive nose and I can smell old oil at 100 feet there was no smell of oil at all. My husband had fries and they were not at all oily. Your waiter and waitress are the owners and the cook and whatever needs to be done I guess very pleasant prompt service. I'm going to post a bunch of pictures. The mashed potatoes in the picture are actual mashed potatoes not fake The green beans are probably canned possibly frozen. They were fine. My husband is the gravy connoisseur and he said the gravy was excellent. Everything you see in the pictures that I post everything including a 20% tip came to $22 and less than $.50 unbelievable .

Walking in is like walking into a museum of sorts. Gas station memorabilia alongside coke memorabilia etc. has you stepping back in time. Housed in what looks like an old gas station, this place drips of nostalgia. Ordering at the counter before being seated, we were waited on by a cheerful young woman who didn't make us feel rushed. It had been five years since we had last been, so we needed a refresher course. We ordered the Cammack Cheesy Jalapeño Burger on Texas toast each. Husband had loaded tots with cheese and chili and I opted for a side of onion rings. My mom had the pulled pork on Texas toast and onion rings. Dad had the breaded tenderloin with sweet potato fries. The food was phenomenal. The onion rings were fresh and plentiful. The tots were delicious. The burger? Spicy and extremely tasty! Everything was perfect. The marshmallow cokes just added to it all. Yum! Husband had the peanut butter explosion for dessert. Frozen custard, softened peanut butter, Reese's Pieces and peanut butter cups topped with cream and a cherry. A must try. I chose the one scoop sundae with hot fudge and peanuts. Excellent. While this restaurant may be a little out of the way, it is most definitely worth the trip! Highly recommend!

I was told that pretty much everything is great here, and that's true. I ordered quite a few things, and I loved all of them. The Cammack Cheezy Jalapeno was what jumped out at me first (a burger with cream cheese, pepper jack cheese and jalapeños). It's not spicy at all, but it does have a nice kick. The cream cheese mellows things out, so it's a nice, flavorful burger. I also got the loaded cheese fries, because I couldn't help myself. The fries came topped with barbecue pork, but I could have chosen chili or bacon. But why would I have? Pulled pork is always the right choice. The fries were good and cheesy, and had a lot of pulled pork on them. This is the part of the review where I tell you that you need to order your food and sweet treats at separate counters. Because I didn't know that! I ordered a root beer float and a banana split from one counter, and they were waiting for me at another counter. I didn't know that sweet treats should be ordered and picked up at the ice cream counter, but now you know. You're welcome. This is diner food at its finest. Lots of fried things and malts and burgers and stuff. Definitely come for the food, because it's great. But also come for the decor and atmosphere. Cammack Station is like stepping back into the 1950s, in the best way.
