Highly recommend. They did a full re-roofing of 5000 sq ft home with 2-level roof in Dec 2023. As far as I can tell now (May 2024 - I wanted to wait a few months to see if there were problems), all work contracted was done very well. Flashings, turbine vents and other equipment were replaced with new materials (some companies reuse flashings/other materials which cause huge expensive problems later on). Just a minor note that scheduling was an issue. I know they need to overbook in case of cancellations especially close to winter. In our case, they were caught with unexpected lack of cancellations/extra work for clients/labour shortage/combination. It should have started in Oct but started in Dec. It wasn't a problem because of delayed snow in 2023 so it was fine. read more

Very unprofessional company. Had to hire a different company. They were more competent to do the job.. they screwed up...avoid him!

C W Xteriors was hired by my builder to provide & install shingles, soffit, fascia & eavestroughs for my new house. The roofer who shingled my house did a really good job. The subcontractor hired by C W Xteriors to do the rest unfortunately did not. The eavestroughs leaked in several places right at the beginning. My builder contacted them and a crew came to remedy the situation. There were further leaks from same spaces that were supposedly fixed and then some after that and the downspouts were found to be loose which were all to be fixed. I took possession of my house while the fixes were still to be happening. A lovely winter windstorm caused the longest downspout to take flight. I contacted C. W. Xteriors regarding these issues at the suggestion of my builder. When I spoke to Calvin he said that he already had a guy in Slave Lake checking the houses that C W Xteriors was responsible for the work done and asked me if I had the downspout parts. I told him I did and we talked about the leaks. He assured me that he would have someone here on a warmer day to fix the downspouts and instructed me to make a list of the leaking areas so those could be remedied at the same time. He said that because it was cold when the eavestroughs were installed the integrity of the glue was compromised and the installers were not familiar with installation to ICF construction and acrylic stucco siding. Little did I know then that the method of installation used was what competent eavestrough installers now call archaic. He was going to call me when the fix crew would be here so I could leave the downspout parts outside and provide the list of leaks. I called him approx. 2 months later and he assured me they would get here. I called several times during July thru to October, left messages noting both my phone numbers and stating there was voicemail on both, please call me back. Did not hear from him or anyone else from his office. Eventually even left message giving my email address if he didn't want to talk to me. I called again in first week of November and finally got to talk to Calvin My intention was to tell him he could take my house off his list if it was ever on one. He said he had hired a local company to reinstall my downspout. I asked him if he failed to think that I should know that and if not checking to see if the work was done was a good idea. Reminded him of my many phone calls leaving messages and receiving no call back. I informed him that I hired the same company he spoke of to install all new eavestroughs and it was funny that the contractor did not mention it. Calvin was quite surprised at that and asked why.... I asked if he forgot about the list of leaks he told me to make. He said all he was hearing was downspout, downspout which I could only tell him that by his words I could only perceive that he received my messages but ignored them. He could not give good reason for not calling back. I would not recommend C. W. Xteriors operating from Grande Prairie nor will I ever hire them for any work on my home. read more
