Some stylists may not be up to par with applying color. I have mixed reviews. I've had a bad experience my color application and wait times. On the other hand, I've had a wonderful head scrub with conditioner/ steam treatment, and blow out. I was offered drinks and the quiet room was divine. read more

I have yet seen or been to this place, but after trying to make an appointment here I am boy cotting it! I called after reading the one other review on yelp and thought I made an appointment for the following week ( which I really wanted to get my eyebrows done asap!) the lady asked me to call her an hour before to confirm and might I add is a very strange request considering normally the spa that I use to go to would call me. when I called suddenly learned that not only I didn't have an appointment, but also had to wait 4 more days. NOPE!!! Went to the nearest place and walked in for a quick wax. So needless to say I very much miss my place in Olympia and the places in Virginia were okay too!!!! So I didn't get a haircut here, yet anyway. I also had no intention of getting one, however, they were so nice and helpful they convinced me to give them a try without even trying. I came here out of desperation. My hair hates me and my current product line up. I just moved to GA from AZ. So a complete 180 in climate. I tried Davines hair products back when I was going to the salon every 6 weeks. I loved them, my bright red hair held it's color and I was able to go 3-4 days without washing. Well then I had a kid and I stopped being able to keep up the maintenance on my hair so I switched to more readily available products. I don't use drug store brands however. The efficacy of a company and the cleanliness/quality of the products I use on my body matter so I was on the hunt for a product I knew I could trust and didn't bother my overly sensitive skin. The woman that came out to help me was very nice and even though she had a client she never made me feel rushed. She asked me several questions about my hair, my routine, and the products I use and have used so she could help me get the best product for my hair in this new climate. They didn't have much inventory due to the pandemic situation but they still had something I could use. The website makes it seem like they cater to ethnic hair so I wasn't sure they would have something for me but that's not the case. So if you care about the products your salon is using, the service, and the talent I would recommend this place. They seem great for short edgier cuts for women to. read more

After almost a year of not really doing much with my hair I decided I needed an upgrade from my grown out, long locks. Being somewhat new to the Columbus area, a friend recommended I make an appointment with AJ. Eager to have my hair colored and cut, I was about 10 minutes early to my appointment and I was greeted by a stylist assistant as I walked in the door. She gave me a tour of the salon, pointed out who each stylist was, and graciously offered me a refreshment. The receptionist had me fill out a client profile and the other stylists greeted me in passing. Right off the bat I have never walked into a salon with this quality of customer service. When I got in the chair I told AJ what I was hoping to do with my hair and showed him a couple photo examples. He was calculating, confident, and excited to take on the job. Like an artist with a canvas he went straight to work and I couldn't be more happy with the results. Everyone was very professional, helpful, and nice through the whole process. I felt like I have been going to CWR for years, when it was actually my first time meeting everyone. Over all a great salon great service, and wonderful people. I'm excited to go back! read more

I went here to get my eyebrows threaded after finding them online by doing a Google search. I didn't like that I had to wait 45 minutes after my appointment time, but the lady who did my eyebrows did a really good job. She made them a little too thin, but they are a great shape and I've gotten many compliments. The salon is very clean and aesthetically pleasing. The hair stylists look very talented too. I've been going to this salon for over 2yrs and have been transitioning for that long. My stylist has worked with my hair and have never had to do the Big Chop as so many woken with natural hair have had to do. The atmosphere is very inviting and the stylist are very informed of the latest styles and also products for sensational looking healthy hair. When you leave you definitely are pleased. I was a regular client of Hair Works on Wildwood for a little over five years until I moved out of Columbus GA. I am currently in Memphis and having a difficult time finding a stylist to meet the needs of my hair type. Not having a beautician reminds me of the "up front and personal" care and attention that Hair Works gave, not only to me, but to all of there regular customers. And I might add, they had plenty of dedicated clients and always strived to ensure their satisfaction. So I say to those who may have come from out of town and needed a quick makeover, I apologize for your wait. But Hair Works on Wildwood always strive to accommodate all, both clients and visitors, unlike many other salons who refuse to even consider walk-ins or same day appointments.
