I have a lot of family members in the military and thought it would be interesting to visit. We entered walk around until we were greeted by a member of the crew. Unfortunately don't remember his name but he did give us a tour and he was super knowledgeable and went into depth with everything! He even let us try on some of the stuff and hold certain items, which was such a cool hands on experience. Hands down one of the best and most interesting tours I've ever been on. I highly recommend. Several comments focus on "beware" of giving out numbers, but they are very specific and have only aimed to help take care of next steps and I've NEVER EVER felt pressured. They obviously care, but aren't pushy. We're not sure if they will be the place I the end, but it's a real option and I haven't anything bad to say about their practices. Also, they are fully upfront with costs, struggles about timing and trying to hold down a job at the same time, housing issues that are different etc. If anything I was impressed that they were so low pressure. Many professors get away scot free with mistreating students, poorly grading assignments, using AI generated reviews of assignments, and overall being incredibly inconsistent. Not only was I mistreated, I essentially wasted 50-60k in tuition on 2 years of middle to highschool level presentations and coursework. Only 3 professors total were actually interested in my development out of what, over 30? Most of them simply do NOT care. A vile school for vile people. Do not go here.

UCF has it's own police station staffed by sworn police officers. As a mom who is sending her child 300 miles away from home to attend school and live at the dorm my daughter's safety is always uppermost in my mind. Thankfully I always felt she was in good hands with UCF campus security. For one thing they seem to be everywhere on campus. For a student not obeying the traffic laws that might not be such a good thing because they see everything. If there was an incident of concern on campus I would get an email about what happened and almost always a few hours later there would be a follow up email about how the situation was resolved. This semester they have caught a parking lot groper and found lost people. They are on top of everything happening at UCF. This year they made national news when they prevented a potential tragedy when a student who had stopped attending classes and who showed signs of mental illness started amassing guns. They just want to push everyone through to graduation. Upon graduating, I couldn't even get a job in my desired career field. I was a political science prelaw major and they wouldn't even hire me to be a legal assistant. I ended up enlisting because I couldn't find a job anywhere else. A lot of help my UCF degree was.

Located behind the concession stand called The Cantina in Oviedo on the Park, this piece of public…read moreart pays tribute to Oviedo, Florida. When I move to Orlando, Florida back in 2001, Oviedo was a small almost rural community on the outskirts of the northeastern part of Orlando and really did not offer much instead of being the town with chickens walking around it. The chickens are memorialized in this piece of art and rightfully so. Oviedo looks nothing like I remember it. It is now a Suburban area filled with communities much like this one. I think it is a positive. I am sure some of the old timers probably miss the area they grew up in, but as we step into each new tomorrow, progress is inevitable. The area where this mural is a perfect example. This little Park was not here. Now it is and it is surrounded by nice apartments. There are a lot of restaurants choices and things to do. As Orlando grew, the whole area did, as well. Come check out this park and while you are here, check out this piece of art.
