It has a creative architectural design that makes it more pleasant to not only look at, but inhabit and circulate. My standard critiques that the station and rail lines were evidently contemplated to build upon the locational efficiencies next to the freeway exist, but at least in addition to facing a (too) massive surface vehicular parking lot, it's design is carried through to the bus stops and on the other façade, faces mid-size office buildings within nearby walking distance that it proves its utility in its immediate context. Otherwise, it is unfortunate that this station is disconnected from the more walkable areas of Oakland Park/Wilton Manors, thus relying more on automotive transportation for the "last mile" travel - again, partially but proactively made-up for with the bus/public transit integration by the cities and County. I must continue to emphasize as with other Tri-Rail stations, there's not enough benches nor trash cans. There's also the standard anxiety if the train is coming, if you're on the right platform, the trains don't run late enough. But I must say in sum, it's such a net positive to have rail options (with signage and audio message in three (3!) languages) in this urban-suburban-car-dominated-megalopolis. I support it fully and want MORE investment in stations like this to make it better.

Even with their some of dirty looking clientele I'm wrong for that but I ain't wrong.

The garage parking is reasonably priced for long term parking and when crowded, the cement walkway from the garage is very easy to navigate by following the painted lines on the ground. Once inside the building terminal, the signage is very good and it is comfortable from the carpeted floors to the temperature of the a/c. There is the option of TSA, TSA-PRE, and, CLEAR lines to get through security. Once on the "other side", there are some private airline clubs, public sitting areas, and plenty of restaurants and bars to wait for the flight. Upon arrival, the directions are very clear on where to go for baggage claim, parking garage, and ride sharing locations. Exiting the airport is a little confusing as the lanes merge and drop off pretty quickly and the signage can come up very quickly for the east bound exit and the ramps for I595 westbound. To me this is an average sized airport that has convenient domestic and International flights.

For an airport this big, it doesn't overwhelm you like many large airports. It was easy to navigate, easy to give baggage claim and easy to meet my brother in law who was picking us up. The baggage claim area was spacious and not overly crowded, the concourse was wide and the signage was clear. Great arrival experience.

The lobby was clean and the staff were polite and answered all of our questions. There was plenty of room for seating and enough charging stations for everyone. We bought some waters and snacks. The restroom was also super clean. My ONLY complaint is the fragrance they use in the lobby. It's not very appealing to me. The train its self arrived on time. The train cars were clean, and the staff was also polite. We ordered a few snack packs for my son and a couple of adult beverages which were kinda pricey, however, we ordered for the experience. We were not disappointed. We have a trip planned in March and will be utilizing Brightline again!

Amazing, smooth, strong, leather seats, love the tray tables how they don't snap like planes, just simply push up, window blinds, 2 plugs and 2 USB plugs. Stopped in today during a busy travel day after the Thanksgiving holiday, the traffic on the…read moreturnpike was pretty heavy and since I didn't fuel the RV on the way down to the Keys I figured I should top it off anticipating some stop and go delays. These service plazas are left lane exits so it can be a challenge getting over when the traffic is heavy but once I made the ramp the layout here makes it reality easy to navigate and access the truck lanes to get to the separate diesel pump island. The fueling island is remote and like most truck fueling you have to prepay inside prior to pumping, this is quite the walk past the Tesla Superchargers then through the gas pumps, I purposely under estimated how many gallons I needed so I wouldn't have to make a second trip inside to get a receipt for the actual gallons I pumped so I definitely missed the mark on filling the tank but I knew I'd stop again once I got closer to home so I could put her in the garage with a full tank in preparation for our next trip. As expected the inside was extremely busy I think I was at least 10 customers back to pay, they did have both registered staffed so the line did move rather quickly. It seemed everyone was ordering food so that wasn't an option even the wait for a cup of coffee was more than I was willing to wait so I made a cup in the Keurig once I got back in the bus before getting back on the road - overall a pretty good experience...

A quiet station. A peaceful station you might even say…read more The Boca Raton Tri-Rail station is not like many of the other stops on the Tri-Rail. That is because it is not right next to the highway compared to some. I have been to this stop very early in the morn and felt pretty safe from some stuff going down. Most train stations in the U.S. and in the world in general are sketchy spots to be, especially after dark; this spot not so much. It's a tranquil spot actually. It is up against part of the El Rio Trail. That's a trail that runs north and south through Boca Raton. I have jogged this trail or bicycled the path up and down and it's length. often I will cut in to the tri -rail area to take a break or add some feet to my distance covered. It's always a relaxed place. Often there is people taking there bike off the train there as they can continue there commute home from there. I have been to a few other Tri-rail spots in South Florida that were good as well. None were better than the Boca though.

You can find the parking area just past the Naval Air Station Museum. It's exact location is the southwestern end of the north runway. This area was dedicated in 1997 in honor of Ron Gardner, a retired Air force Captain and aviation buff. He joined the Broward County Aviation Department in September 1977 and served in many roles including airport spokesman, noise control officer, and as a special projects manager. He passed away from cancer at the age of 57. This is exactly the kind of place Ron Gardner would have enjoyed and if you are an aviation fan, you will too. I was surprised by how many people were out here on a Saturday afternoon. Spectators brought chairs and food and whole families were taking in the view. You can even hear the communications between the pilots and the tower. Two other nearby viewing areas include the Hibiscus Garage Viewing Area and the Greenbelt Viewing Area.​​ Watching the planes take of and land is a fun and free activity enjoyed by all ages.

There's a speaker at the west end of the parking lot where you can hear the Air Traffic Controller speaking to the pilots. When our kids were younger, we used to pick up subs and would sit in the back of the pick up truck bed to watch the planes and have our little lunch. The kids used to love it. If you are a photography buff or like aviation, you'll like this place except that you might want to go when the weather is a little cooler.
