It's their new affordable fashion brand that's accessible to any budget, but with clothes you won't find at places like H&M or Uniqlo. Lots of basics with modern cuts and enough style for the streets of Paris, or anywhere in the world you might wear their stuff. Their jeans are one of the things most people come here for, and while I didn't buy any, I can see why someone would. They look great and the price is right. You might want to bring an extra suitcase on your next trip, because you're going to run out of room in your carry on.

The staff around the mall seem nice, it is quite a nice building in both parts, with there being a bridge to connect the two malls, which are located on the opposite side of the streets. Shops here also include a small high-street of shops, which is part of the mall but with only enterences from the street, this includes an Orange store which is recently closed for a refurb, a very poor branch of Mcdonald's and a fairly nice Pandora store. Due to high security alerts, there is a lot of security on here, near enough one in every shop including Marks and Spencer, and you will be seared when you go in, while someone will look in your bag and mainly use a detector, but considering the recent events in Paris which are devastating, you can understand why and it is putting people's safety first, and I don't have a problem with that. The lifts are also pretty cool, on the left hand of the mall, playing music as you ride in the lifts, however on the right side sadly they are not, with few lifts seeming to be very small and move very slow, meaning if you actually need it with a pram or wheelchair it can be hard and frustrating and take ages just to go up a level, I know how painful this is, I've even been stuck in a lift before having only needed to get up 4 steps, and was there for an hour, which is a similar, albeit more extreme example. Beaugrenelle might be a small building, but they do have some really nice places inside, including a Monoprix which was opened today and is classed as part of the mall, despite not being directly in it, which is quite a nice supermarket/department-store which also has a cool looking Starbucks Coffee inside. There even is a cinema here, making it the perfect place to spend an hour or two, and even admire the building, as it is a really nice place, both of them are and it even contains one of 14 Marks and Spencer store's in France, which is a total dwarfed by 852 stores in the United Kingdom. They have free-wifi as well with no sign-up required other than accepting the terms and conditions, which is good and still easy to do if you have no knowledge of speaking french, Overall, this is a really nice mall and I count myself lucky infact to have it so close to my hotel, as it is so easy to pick up essentials with many large stores, including Monoprix who have a self-juicing orange machine and Marks and Spencer who have a great gluten free range and even english labeling, so I'm pleased to give this mall a solid 4 star rating!

While malls die all over America, retail still thrives in Paris. Exhibit A: Galeries Lafayette Haussmann. I've been to this department store a number of times over the years, and I both enjoy it and fear how completely it can suck up precious vacation hours. It's a fantastic place to shop, with a ton of well curated inventory spread out across multiple floors in multiple buildings. The main building features that beautiful domed ceiling, which manages to catch me by surprise every time I walk in. I haven't had the opportunity to shop for my own clothes here in a long time, but I've gotten some really great stuff on the children's floor, and discovered the souvenir section on my last visit, where I picked up some cool Paris Metro toy trains and magnets. We did somehow get stuck at Galeries Lafayette for over two hours and ended up skipping Notre-Dame, which might have been a better place to spend our last afternoon in Paris. But it was sale season, and my kids look super cute in their heavily discounted Petit Bateau. Galeries Lafayette is busy and sometimes overwhelming, but it's a wonderful department store. I wish we had something like it back home. I'd much rather shop there than fall for targeted ads on Instagram.

Harrods occasionally comes to mind as a comparison, although the resemblance ends quickly: Le Bon Marché is quieter, smaller, and far more Left Bank in its sensibility. Upstairs and throughout the store, browsing is genuinely fun, and I still remember visiting when there was a Williamsburg, Brooklyn-themed activation that offered an unexpectedly charming French interpretation of the neighborhood and its culture. La Grande Épicerie, however, may be the masterpiece: an astonishing food hall where the presentation, abundance, and sheer discernment make grocery shopping feel almost museum-worthy. At a moment when e-commerce has hollowed out so many great department stores, Le Bon Marché feels increasingly special, proof that physical retail can still justify the trip simply through taste, atmosphere, and discovery. We were told that all the clothing is made in France and England. I have no reason to suspect otherwise. Assuming this is true then Heroines is a bargain! I don't want to say how much we spent, but let's just say we greatly surpassed the US incoming custom's exemption. I guess we'll just need to donate the excess prior to re-entering the homeland...

We added the customization to each of our pieces and stamped our LV passport holders. We may have to come back before our summer holiday in Europe ends.
