I planned my Paris trip around getting a Celine bag (my very first designer purchase if you don't count that rude experience I had at Goyard) and this store did NOT disappoint! I received the best customer service, even though I wasn't 100% sure I was going to leave with anything despite the plan. I originally wanted a basic black trio bag and that's exactly what I came in for. Too bad there was no black trio bag available. I was so bummed. I didn't want to look around because I knew I couldn't afford anything else in my price range (high class, no income should be my motto). It says "Nathalie" rang me up but I'm not even sure if that's her name- anyway, I told the SA who was helping me my budget and she assured me that it was totally ok to have one! She said they didn't have the trio bag but they had just gotten a shipment in that morning and wanted to show me something else I might like. At first, she showed me a gray trotteur bag but she figured that I would like the black more. She even brought out different sizes of the bag so I could try it on! In the end, I got my first Celine bag and I'm so glad it was a Phoebe Philo piece. As I was in Paris, I was on a mission to purchase a Celine Nano Luggage Tote, as well as other high end luxury handbags by taking advantage of the 12% VAT return on any purchase over 170 euros. As the Nano Luggage Tote now values for roughly $2,700 USD as of July 2014, purchasing a Nano in Paris saves you about $700 USD! When I entered the Celine store I was expecting swarms of customers trying to purchase bags, but instead there was only one other customer in the store. The greeter of the store was so friendly and walked me over to a friendly and super patient salesperson helped me select my beloved new handbag. There were so many beautiful colors, both solid and tri-color bags, I simply couldn't make a quick decision. My salesperson patiently took out each bag and attached the strap so I could try on the bags in front of the mirror. She also explained the different care instructions for the grained and smooth leather bags, as the grained leather bags tended to be easier to care for. Throughout the process I never felt pressured to purchase anything or feel as if they didn't want to assist me. I finally decided on the classic black grained leather bag, and while I filled out the VAT tax return form, my salesperson prepared my bag and patiently waited for me as I paid and received my paperwork. The icing on the cake was when the salesperson escorted me to the door, handed me my purchase, and opened the door for me on the way out. This type of service goes a long way and makes me appreciate purchasing Celine goods from the direct store rather than a department store. This trip to Paris was partially Mission Celine Nano, and I just had the most AMAZING luxury goods buying experience you could ever imagine. I'm on VACATION and it's about 1:30 in the morning and I had to write this review, that's how pleased I am with the time I spent in the store. From the moment you step in the door, the greeter is warm and not pretentious AT ALL. She directed me upstairs, where someone would help bring me a selection of Nanos. A super friendly French man came out, and immediately helped me, showing off 4 bags in different colors. He even had some fun with my husband, making fun of him for sitting there, uninterested in handbags :-) After some time, I decided on a dark blue bag. The woman at the register was super friendly too. (Random, she's from Miami...the salesperson I had was from Paris but lived 6 years in Japan...really interesting stories they had.) Never once did I feel like the salespeople were sizing me up or didn't want to help me. None of them were pushy, and I came away feeling amazing, and almost wanting to go back tomorrow for some sunglasses. Love the brand even more! read more

Basically I had the complete opposite experience here than I had in the New York store. And I'm very happy to have purchased my new baby from this location instead of back home in NY. I knew I was going to buy a Celine on my Paris trip, as you do... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ so I came in with a narrowed down list of what I was focusing on. I spent a "normal" amount of time debating which style and size to purchase, and Agate (I think that was her name?) was super friendly, patient, and helpful. Like an idiot, I forgot my passport and couldn't make the purchase that day after all, and she had no problem holding it until the next day for me. The purchase was finally complete the next day as soon as they opened, and I was on my way with my new luggage bag. YAS. The staff was down to earth and friendly, and my boyfriend was patient! Was in Paris for a few days, and my wife was on a mission to get a Luggage Tote. Wandered in and walked around a bit. Of course, all the workers are helping others. Customers are fighting over bags, and there is barely anything on the shelves. After waiting for around 15 min and still not getting help, my wife was over it, and decided a Celine bag was not for her. Maybe next time, but the off-putting experience made us walk over to Chanel instead. read more

Sadly, I forgot the name of the sales assistant who helped me the first time I came here last year, but she was the nicest person on earth (I believe it was Christina?). We didn't even come to buy anything that day as we had already spent all of our money next door at Saint Laurent, so we just wanted to take a look at the store and look at what might be the next bag to start saving money for. It was my birthday and we were offered champagne right away, which was a really sweet gesture. I came back two months later to purchase the black phantom cabas, which I had reserved via phone a few days in advance, just to make sure that it'll be available when I come to pick it up. It's become my #1 shopper. The store is truly beautiful and has the biggest selection of Céline bags, ready-to-wear and accessories you'll ever see. Hmm just noticed Yelp! for Paris. This review is about 3 years past due. I was in Paris in the summer of '07 and dropped in on my last day of a 3 wk trip around Europe. I was on a mission to find this specific pair of Celine sunglasses and finally found them at this location. It was THE very last pair in store. Classless. My friend and I were sprinting before closing to get a purse, and we made it to the door breathless 5 minutes before closing. The woman at the door closed it right in front of us, and didn't let us in although the store still had shoppers. We told her we would be quick, but she just made an X with her hands. We asked her if they would be open tomorrow, but she said no, Tuesday. (This was on a Saturday, we had a flight on Monday, and the store would only open Tuesday due to a holiday.) Took my wifey to Celine to buy her a handbag. We were welcomed by many bonjours and smiles. A lovely young lady offered her services and was extremely patient. She was French and had traveled to Australia so her and my wife had a lot to talk about. After about 45 minutes my Aussie wife decided on the large black trio lambskin handbag that can be turned into a clutch. They offered us champaign but decided on water (I don't know why I did that, dumb move). We went one hour before closing, and it was surprisingly full! We had to wait a bit for an available attendant, but when we our turn arrived, the service was amazing! They have all the most popular models, and if they don't have your exact color/size/leather, just ask, and they'll probably have it in the back. My mother bought a lovely black luggage mini, and I got the large trio in black (which is sold out in the UK!). We were offered drinks (water or champagne), which we happily accepted. There also was a bit of a waiting time when paying, but that is to be expected when filling out tax return forms. All in all, an amazing experience. Will definitely return. read more
