When I arrived there was only one other customer inside. The restaurant decor was cute and I very comfortable. The staff were friendly and welcoming. This spot was a bit pricey just like most of the restaurants in this touristy area. I had certain Turkish entrees i wanted to try during my vacation. I ordered the Iskender kebab which is beef and pita bread covered with tomato sauce with yogurt on the side. I ordered a side salad to go with it. The dish was very delicious as you can tell in one of my pics. I chatted with some of the staff about life in Istanbul. I was offered some complimentary pomegranate tea before I left and it hit the spot. This is definitely a place to check out when you're in the area.

It was supposed to have been a small lunch, but was actually very filling. I will say the meat could've used a sauce. Something to cut all the grease that it was covered in. I did try someone else's chicken and it was even more in need of a flavorful sauce. We dined on liver skewers with lamb tail fat, grilled garlic, lamb chops, kebobs, grilled onions, spicy breads, grilled peppers, and grilled tomatoes. I cannot convey just how much fun it was to sit table side tonight. As engaging as the pit master was, his cooking skills are second to none with respect to his grill. This restaurant had a friendly, warm, welcoming atmosphere. I actually got to sit next to the boss and his party (they were celebrating a birthday) and they were nice enough to offer me a piece of birthday cake. They didn't have an English menu but the server happily explained the main dishes to me to help me make a decision. I ended up ordering hummus and pita as a starter and a beef kabob with tomato and pepper. Both were delicious (see pics). Finished it off with a glass of red wine and the birthday cake mentioned above. Overall great experience. If I'm in the area again on business is definitely come back.

My date and I started with 2 mezes to share, the hummus and zengin biber, which came out quickly and were fresh and presentable. Would highly recommend it and can't wait to try the other ones!
